  • The Marcliffe Hotel and Spa

    The Marcliffe Hotel and Spa

Set in Aberdeen, The Marcliffe Hotel and Spa is 7 km from Beach Ballroom. This 5-star hotel offers free WiFi. The accommodation provides a 24-hour front desk and a business centre for guests. Oh my gosh the New Marcliffe was a total joy from start to finish. I've dined here before when visiting Scotland but never stayed. Well I've now found my favourite hotel in Scotland and I've stayed in many. The room was immaculate and had a bath which is often rare to find these days. Complimentary fruit, ground coffee , fresh milk (not long life). Crisp cotton bedding and a beautiful view onto the grounds. We dined in the restaurant and my mum and I both had local caught fish. We were sure we would manage dessert but sadly not. Breakfast in the morning was buffet style plus cooked breakfast. I took the Bircher muesli with fresh berries and then black pudding and poached eggs. The coffee was served in silver ware and the waiter was a joy to chat with. He even spoken Gaelic. I hope you have a great experience as I had.

Charm, Granite, Energy and Blooms

With a gently rolling landscape, Aberdeen moves elegantly between sandy beaches, picturesque stone houses, and blooming gardens. As Scotland’s 3rd-largest city, it is home to important universities, a busy harbour, and is a hub for the oil industry in the North Sea.

Walk along the Union Street ‘Granite Mile’, and visit some of the historic places like the Town House, Castlegate, or ‘Provost Skene’s House’. Don’t miss the Art Gallery and the Maritime Museum, and do some shopping in the city’s trendy shops. Choosing hotels in Aberdeen’s city centre allows you to explore this compact city on foot.

The charming Old Town is filled with bookstores, old buildings like the King’s College, and student cafés. The city won the ‘Britain in Bloom’ prize a stunning 10 times for its well-kept gardens.

The local airport offers direct train links with the central railway and coach station. Staying in a B&B, a cottage, or a hotel near Aberdeen Airport is a way to avoid the last-minute rush, while enjoying the surrounding green hills.

Whether you want Aberdeen hotels with a pool, or rural accommodation surrounded by hills, don’t miss the deals on!
