We couldn’t locate the key box at first but rang the host and resolved this within a few minutes. Although a vacuum cleaner was provided a small dustpan and brush would be useful for the kitchen.

The bedrooms are nice and big and the beds very comfortable.
The bedrooms are nice and big and the beds very comfortable. The living room/ dining room/ kitchen was spacious enough for us but the sofa was quite low and showing a few marks.
The apartment is on the ground floor and the patio doors in the living room give a lovely outlook onto the golf course. PRESTWICK is a lovely little place with plenty of shop,cafes and restaurants and is within walking distance of the property.

Prestwick's a great town with great restaurant and bar options, as well as being a Mecca for golfing enthusiasts. Use as a base for all of Ayrshire's terrific links and parkland courses at all price levels.

Prestwick is a perfectly fine Scottish seaside town.
Prestwick is a perfectly fine Scottish seaside town. Access to golf facilities and the beach are very good. Choice of restaurants and pubs is excellent. Beware though of the property you use for your stay. Someone with authorised access to the property I rented ( The Bradshaw) is a thief.

Prestwick is a lovely town with lovely shops restaurants and great bars. The people are very friendly and the beach and golf course is lovely to. Great little place for a breakaway and so close to ayr

We only came for a long weekend to visit family, so we did...
We only came for a long weekend to visit family, so we did not spend a lot of time in Prestwick Town Centre.
We did take cousin's dog for a walk (or she took us) past the golf course along the headland and back along the beach to the ice cream shop just off the beach.
We had a lovely meal in the Italian restaurant Vito's on Main Street with family which was 5 mins walk from Gardiner Cottage where we were staying. My husband had lasagna and my mother in law and I had chicken in a mushroom sauce - both delicious!

We only visited Prestwick as we drove our daughter and...
We only visited Prestwick as we drove our daughter and grandsons to the airport to catch a plane. It was a long drive so my wife and I decided to stay overnight. Didn't see much of Prestwick but next day we visited Ayr, which was quaint in parts with some good shops.

Wonderful accommodation, Linda and Linsey were exceptional hosts, providing a homely Scottish welcome. Linda was very kind to rescue a fashion disaster on my part, going above and beyond to make my visit as pleasant as it was. The bedroom was clean and well kept, as the rest of the house was. Very much a no-fuss stay that is highly recommended for any solo travellers or couples travelling to Ayrshire. Although only a short stay, I will definitely pop by if ever in Prestwick again.

This is the 3rd time staying at Fairways cottages. The cottages are spotless and have everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The location is perfect for the beach and town centre. The staff are lovely very accomodating.

Excellent location on the main road between Prestwick and Ayr. Bus stops right outside with regular services to both towns and further afield. 2 or 3 minutes walk to Sainsbury or Aldi. Apartment was clean and well furnished.

My son and his family found Gardiner Cottage an ideal home from home in Prestwick Town Centre. Our host was extremely welcoming and thoughtful. Hopefully we will have the weather to sit out in the garden next time!!
