Located in Rosemarkie, just steps from the beach, Tigh Na Mara Rosemarkie -Room Only- Add Breakfast Upon Arrival features free WiFi. Helen was very kind and her house is lovely. The room was very clean and the bed comfertable. The breakfast was delicious.
Longhouse Cottages has sea views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Rosemarkie, 1.4 mi from Rosemarkie Beach. Everything else about the accommodation was excellent. The location and vista was outstanding and the accommodation was very comfortable. It was great having access to washing machine and dryer. Although we spent most of the time visiting different places the house was very relaxing to come back to in the evening and lovely looking out at the lights of Inverness.
Set in Rosemarkie, 11 mi from Inverness, Black Isle Holiday Apartments offers a garden and free WiFi. We stayed in the wildcat 3 bedroom apartment, Very spacious for 2 families with kids. Comfy beds, very clean, plenty seating for us all to be together, lots of lovely little touches when we arrived, outdoor bbq area, play park and tennis courts to rear of property.
It is unfair to rate anyplace at the moment, since due to covid nothing is 'normal'. Cannot blame anyone for the awful cold and wet weather we encountered. Rosemarkie and the black isle is in a beautiful part of the world and well worth a visit.
We visit Rosemarkie every year and have never been disappointed with our stay. I would say don't go for the weather as it can be raining, but when it is hot it's very hot and you need to take strong sun factor cream
This is a beautiful, small coastal village with the benefit of having the dolphins to watch if you walk up to Chanonry Point (lighthouse) (approx. 20-30 minute walk - probably best not to attempt this if you have difficulty walking). There is one pub in Rosemarkie but we found that the menu was extremely restricted so opted to drive into Fortrose where there is The Anderson or IV10, but you may need to book ahead! There is also the Golf Club in Rosemarkie, but again you will need to book ahead.
It’s a lovely place, but parking down at Chanonry Point not so good was very busy so should really park in town and walk down to watch for dolphins, but whence got to accommodation up at Dolphin View Hillockhead we discovered later that we could walk back to Rosemarkie using a walk along the seashore, next time
The views were to die for, everything was contained in the cottage and the host was available if we needed anything .... fantastic location for seeing the sights around Inverness and the Nth West villages ... just beautiful!!
We loved visiting Chanonary Point to see the dolphins as they put on a wonderful display. The Crofters bistro was the place to eat, their chilli fish dish was sensational! There are lots of wonderful walks including Ord Hill, Eathie fishing station (though that is quite steep on the way back), various coastal walks. If you like your beer there are two excellent breweries; the Black Isle and Cromarty. It's just a wonderful place to visit.
