Hotel in South Cave
Nestled amid acres of glorious parkland, woodland and manicured lawns, Cave Castle Hotel & Country Club is an elegant manor house that has stood for over 350 years and retains its original turrets,... We enjoyed a lovely overnight stay at Cave Castle, good sized double room, lovely comfy bed, 2 comfy chairs and a dressing table, lovely bathroom with a good shower. I was extremely impressed with the spa area, the swimming pool, jacuzzi sauna and steam room were fabulous! Excellent value for money for a night stay here with an impressive choice at breakfast time!

Valentines day treat for my wife, although I rang on several occasions to book a pamper session and could never get through so gave up. The hotel and grounds were superb, and the inside was very authentic. Leisure facilities were very good but would recommend using them later in the afternoon. Rooms were warm and comfortable,we were in room 101, but bathroom lacked a toilet brush only a small issue, also the £5 charge for room service, even for a bucket of fresh ice was a bit much but overall enjoyed our stay and will return again
The view of the castle hotel when you drove in was amazing. The garden were well kept and beautiful! The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was great . all the facilities were working and clean. The dinning room for the breakfast could do with some attention but I would definitely be back!
Enjoyed bistro...lunch time menu had good helpings for price and tasty. Room as requested had a 4 poster for no extra cost...may depend on availabillity. Lovely setting and able to walk around grounds n take photos. Ordered local takeaway to eat in our room. Had a bath together as it was such a large tub! Loved the 4 poster with petald scattered on it and we slept well. Interesting history . Nearly 350yrs old. Nice view beypnd carpark Only stayed 1 night so can only say staff were ok as didnt really to see many. Breakfast included...good selection continental and cooked. Visited south cave falconary which nicely finished off our 24ish hour trip away as wr are less than 30 mins drive away.
South Cave is almost my home turf being brought up in North Cave, but for me, the joy of Cave Castle is that, if you plan ahead, you go out as little or as much as you want. Knowing the area so well, its well placed for visiting Beverley (where they filmed Victoria in Beverley Minster) and of course Hull, City of Culture. Its also a good spot for walking being on the edge of the wolds, and if you can get a visit into Millers Tea Rooms at Raywell, best ever tea room!
Everything you would need during your stay close to hand - local shop next door, takeaways if you didn’t fancy using the very nice kitchen or outdoor cooking area at the cottage, my son even got his hair cut in a very trendy barber shop during our stay. Easy drive to lots of places of interest and a very quiet and pretty village.
Really enjoyed weekend spa break for our anniversary wish we had booked longer. The staff at hotel were very helpful and friendly and the Spa and Food was excellent. Will definitely be returning for a longer stay.
Friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Room was spotlessly clean and excellent value for money. Great location for Hull, Beverley and York. Cowgate is very pretty; we stayed at and ate our evening meal (gammon steaks) at The Green Dragon pub B and B, (we didn't know about the Dick Turpun connection before arriving) fabulous food, excellent value. Really enjoyed our day in Beverkey for Saturday Market and a look at the Minster.
The choice of places to eat and drink, the clubhouse, the bistro and the hotel bar and restaurant.
