Situated in Stornoway in the Isle of Lewis region, Lews Castle features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. We loved the property as a whole. We stayed in a suite on Floor 1 and it was massive. The bed was comfortable. The WiFi was very good. The room was provided a bottle of wine and bread and eggs, which was a very nice touch. The grounds were gorgeous. We had a nice breakfast in the shop each day. The portions may be a bit too big, but otherwise great. The bar was very nice. The views were wonderful.

Due to the fact I travel to the island for work and I have been numerous visits I am not there for the sights however I can appreciate the scenery . Under pre covid conditions I have enjoyed a lot of the different cuisines that the island has to offer .
This small town in the outer edge of Scotland is lovely. We visited during odd times with Covid so not everything was open as usual and I'm sure the pubs would normally be a much warmer experience. Great location for visiting Lewis though , we took a day to travel round the majority of the island stopping at all the places of interest we could. Some of the tourist attractions were closed due to Covid
The Boat Shed was nice for a meal and everyone was friendly. Some great coastal views around Stornoway. The town is worthy of and in need of investment. We stayed on Stornoway and took a ferry back to Ullapool on the mainland. In hindsight we would have caught an earlier ferry out of Stornoway and spent a night at Ullapool which is a pretty town and worth spending time there.
Few places feel so un-touristy. The amazing beaches were spotless and virtually deserted. Food in the Royal Hotel and County Hotel was excellent. The road from Stornoway to Tarbert - so regret not taking the motorbike.
Beautiful town in the Outer Hebrides.. the ferry ride from Ullapool to Stornoway is easily one of the most beautiful journeys to be had in this part of the world (a round trip cost me less than 20£!). A drive to the Butt of Lewis lighthouse is strongly recommended.
A lovely town, with all you need, very friendly locals, lots to see and do, perfect. Nice pubs, eating places, wee shops, walks, beaches nearby , the harbour fishing boats and seals swimming about, Marag Dubh💕,or just sit in the square and watch the world go by, loved Stornaway. Bha e sgoinneil💕
