Charming 2 bedroom cottage with free parking. Is located in Strathpeffer and offers a garden and barbecue facilities. brilliant place can’t fault it
We liked the area very much, very green and peaceful. The local amenities are useful, but we didn't find them open long enough. The railway tea rooms is the best place in Strathpeffer by far, as we're never disappointed when we go there. There are interesting walks nearby, but once they're done that's it.
Ideal location , great original Railway Company hotel , food was limited menu, but good and great value for money . Good live entertainment on the Saturday evening. Restaurant could perhaps do with a bit of background music and the young staff although pleasant enough could probably do with a bit more training. However like all these hotels they are struggling to recruit. Overall was a good stay and met our needs being dog friendly
We visited Strathpeffer in order to attend the opening night of their excellent annual art exhibition held at the Spa Pavilion (highly recommended). We enjoyed our visit very much and will definitely book again next year, if not before as Strathpeffer is conveniently located for visiting many interesting places. We did visit The Highland Hotel for a meal but would not do so again as our meal was disgusting, very poor quality and grossly over priced - avoid!
Wonderful interior which had great character. It was worth staying to experience this. Not worth eating there though. The owners really need to up their game here and deliver quality food options and not live off their past otherwise it will end up closing.
The hotel looks nice outside nice gardens. Down stairs was ok but tired. Room was horrible and not clean should not have been used! Toilet dirty, toilet roll just placed on top, taps broken no shower or not even a shower head! This room should not have been used and the would not move me
Good location for us as we drove the NC500 every day. We dined in next town most nights at dingwall Very walkable pleasant village and very clean. Entertainment was good but geared to older guests. Nice little shop and cafe below hotel open to 8pm. A safe village.
Strathpeffer
A gracious homely villa in a rather lovely Victorian spa village. Fiona is a great host, lots of local information available and goes that extra mile to make sure we felt comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and every effort was made to accommodate my husband who has coeliac and needs to be gluten free . We really enjoyed the area around Strathpeffer a place we will almost certainly return to.
Room was adequate. Bed was comfortable enough but creaked noisily. Breakfast food quality was very good, however service was sometimes a little slow. Staff were generally friendly, polite and helpful. Dinner was good but menu choices rather limited and service also rather slow.
Strathpeffer
This place is amazing. It is a very unique concept, smart use of space, and a truly beautiful setting. We had everything we needed and loved every second of our stay. We travel a lot, and this place by far is my favorite of all hotels/vacation rentals.
The hotel building was very interesting harping back to much grander times with gigantic reception and restaurant areas including grand staircase. Pet friendly location and staff. Large bath a bonus.
Strathpeffer
