The National hotel was a great find! It was off the beaten path. We had two rooms, the suite was awesome, a fabulous shower and bathroom, very comfortable and clean bed, nice view from the windows. The second room was 3 twins, perfect for our 3 teenagers. Hotel has a great hot, fresh breakfast, bar and a banquet room for parties. We were there for 2 nights while exploring the Scottish Highlands. Would definitely like to come back one day. This place is up and coming, great staff who are dedicated to your comfort.

We had the most incredible dinner and breakfast. The walk down to the Rocky beach was unbelievably gorgeous. This area of Ireland is not to miss. Incredibly run property with kindness and expertise.

Nice small town with number of bar and restaurant.

Nice small town with number of bar and restaurant. Well Organized place. Awesome scenery nearby, overall it's a beautiful place. We travelled to the isle of Skye from here and came back on the same day during Christmas time.

Strathpeffer is a very attractive small Scottish village.

Strathpeffer is a very attractive small Scottish village. For the size of the village it has four perhaps five good places to eat. Numerous old trees included a couple of giant redwoods usually found in America. Very relaxing place to spend a few days. It's also is a good touring base allowing you to go North, South, East and West.

Grate location but plan your trip before you go as there are...

Grate location but plan your trip before you go as there are lots to see and do but its a vast area to cover in a long weekend. Dunrobin Castle is a wonderful day out. Fort George is well worth a visit on a nice day.

run down , felt like id stepped back in time. holes in the ceiling. bed was terrible. windows you had to hold open with a piece of wood. only 2 options of main course available for dinner , 1 chicken dish and 1 vegetarian option, breakfast felt like it was poor quality food

Slightly quaint and quirky little victorian town - lovely woods and walks. Nice and quiet in early November and thankfully places to eat are still open. Take a bit of time to find out what is there - it is a nice little place.

Lovely village with Victorian architecture.

Lovely village with Victorian architecture. The small gift shop in the square has many unusual local items for purchase. Our meals at the Ben Wyvis Hotel were excellent and we heard good reviews about the deli on the square. Castle Leod was very interesting. The area is know for it’s beautiful walking areas. Many interesting areas within easy driving range.

We received a very warm welcome from our host and were fully informed about the facilities available to us during our stay. Our room was beautifully appointed and the views were superb. Well lit in the carparking area for our return after dinner with a bright entrance doorway and hall leading to our room. We look forward to further stays at this property. As the surrounding areas offer super day trips in the car in all directions, it makes a perfect base with good dining options in Strathpeffer on your return.

Strathpeffer is a pretty spot for an overnight stop. The hotels are from a bygone era and we wanted to spend a night in one. We actually had a room for 4 which was even more nostalgic! I very much enjoyed a hot bath to soak away some of my aches and pains.

A warm and interesting Hotel, still with it's Victorian history. Lovely staircase/wall panels and rather grand restaurant. A really good evening meal and very pleasant staff. Breakfast plentiful. Rooms very clean and bedding also
