Fantastic cozy, comfortable, cottage, excellent location and facilities, 2 minutes to the beach so lots of doggie walks. Lovely out door space which is secure for dogs and with nice views. Just a lovely place to have a break, and very easy to have the dogs with us. highly recommend

Upon arriving on a cold November night, how lovely that the owner at his own cost, had left the heating on, so the house was lovely and cosy - thank you. The place is absolutely lovely, with nothing I could think of that wasn't provided. Nice touches in leaving coffee, tea, sugar and biscuits as well (perhaps leave some powdered milk/milk pots for future guests maybe?) and it was spotless. The double bed was super comfy and I had two lovely peaceful long sleeps. Check in was really easy and there was no need for contacting the owners, although they had left sufficient details to reach them, should they be needed. The conservatory was lovely and well furnished and Im sure a summer visit would be great, as it faces the sun in the afternoon. I had read reviews that the house had smelt 'doggy' due to the owners allowing pets, however I have to say there was NO animal odour whatsoever, so anyone reading that - it's a rogue comment! Honestly, it was perfect for me, staying to have a break from work and caring for an elderly relative, so my 'bolthole' rest at the coast was lovely, mainly thanks to the owners - well done guys, you have a lovely property and I wont hesitate to visit again :-)

The room was more like a 5 star hotel than am air bnb. Terribly luxurious, warm and super comfy. The walk in shower was perfect and they kindly left out lots of various sized towels. The room is well kitted out for making yourself tea or keeping cans in the mini fridge. The service was wonderfully warm and hospitable. It all felt very easy and relaxing. The location in as central as it possibly could be and everything is you'll need is right around the corner. I would stay again in a heartbeat. In fact, I'm already planning to return to Anchor House.

The host Luke was really great , he sent over all details after my booking regarding check in keys etc, directions to the cottage. The cottage decor was to a high standard, everything you could want home from home. The welcome refreshments & snacks were greatly appreciated. Also the coffee machine in the morning was most welcome. The cottage itself was very clean and beds super comfy. Cottage sits on the grounds of the owners home, it’s really a peaceful setting , very private, we went to see the ducks . Louth town is only a 5min drive and the host left local attraction & restaurant recommendations for us. We went to the beach to see the seals 🦭 at Donna nook which was really close. What a great trip & gem of a property at such great value considering the superb setting. 5*
