What a beautiful place, a little jewel.
What a beautiful place, a little jewel. Lovely riverside walk, lots of beautiful plant displays everywhere. Old charm place with lots of alleys to explore and the most friendliest people. The New Inn especially was brill, the young couple running it are to be commended on running a welcoming, friendly place. Spotlessly clean, plenty of parking. Delicious food at great prices.

Despite being a really warm evening, it was busy and not surprising as the quality of the fish and chips was superb and the batter was lovely and crispy; no wonder customers were ordering the scraps! Despite being busy, the wait time was not very long at all.
Sitting eating my fish and chips with a view of the river was a great treat!!

We were visiting family who live locally and did not go into Wetherby on this occassion but have visited it frequently in the past mostly during the day. The town has a number of high class independent food shops and cafes. Plus a busy markets on Thursday and Sunday.

The view was amazing , the food was fantastic , I will say...
The view was amazing , the food was fantastic , I will say they add a £50 room charge onto your room payment with out notice, when I questioned it they said if I didn't charge anything to my room I would get it back . When you order from the bar they take your room number and automatically charge what you order to your room so tell them straight away you want to pay there and then . It took two days to get the £50 back in my account.

Friendly town, clearly on the up, nice independent shops with only one or two recognisable chains spoiling the atmosphere. The Engine Shed is a cracking venue for live music - our reason for visiting. Breeze's Deli makes a lovely breakfast. Touchwood is a lovely old-fashioned hardware store.

Wetherby is a delightful town minutes away from the Days Inn...
Wetherby is a delightful town minutes away from the Days Inn hotel. It has a marvellous river and wier running through it. Parking was easy and the town is delightful with plenty of of eating places and an Aldi and Morrisons. Loved it there.

Location - very close to the A1 but did not hear any road noise. Very close to the centre of Wetherby with pubs and restaurants.
Hairdryer, iron and ironing board in the room.
Free wifi throughout the hotel.
Free bottles of water in the room as well as tea, coffee, etc
Quiet - had such a good sleep.

The Swan and Talbot is a pub near the centre of Wetherby. It has 4 rooms. My bedroom was perfectly adequate. New bathroom, good shower, comfortable bed. Breakfast was fine, and all the staff were charming. Priced a bit more like a hotel, but as I say, it was perfectly acceptable

It's a reminder of how things ought to be orgnised at a time when the second rate is often tolerated
