The staff were all friendly and helpful; we felt like they cared about our stay and experience and they make the hotel! The spa is lovely and breakfasts are great. There is lots of choice at breakfast and it’s a lovely environment to eat in; we thought it was a stand out great breakfast 😀. The spa was not too busy and the pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna were wonderful!

A very walkable city with river walks and a very interesting cathedral, historic pubs and independent food businesses. (Pizza at Impasto was excellent) Liked Charles the 2nd pub and Cardinals Hat both pubs with history. Spent a good day watching county cricket close to city centre and good value nice family atmosphere.

Worcester is a vibrant historical city .

Worcester is a vibrant historical city . Plenty to do and see .The cathedral is particularily magnificent and the suggested donation on entry was well spent to explore all the halls, cloister and crypt etc. Cyclists and walkers are well catered for along the riverside. Lots of microbreweries and outlets dotted about. Great places to eat including vegan. All the usual big chain stores and eateries. The centre is quite compact and easy to stroll around with pedestrianised streets. It is somewhere you can use as a base to explore the whole region or a stopover just off the M5 on your way to other places.

Worcester like all large towns has its good and bad parts.

Worcester like all large towns has its good and bad parts. The Cathedral end along with the riverfront is lovely. The Commandary (English Civil War HQ) is a must visit. There are some beautifully maintained Tudor buildings in many of the streets and during the day it feels laid back and comfortable with itself and its history. In general it is a nice historic place to visit. We even took the opportunity to attend a T20 cricket match which was a great experience. BUT, early evening the mood darkens quite quickly. The streets started to fill with loud and sometimes drunk football supporters who seem to have no sense of decorum at all. With theses people spilling out of many of the pubs (all heavily manned by bouncers), it made for an uneasy walk home.

Recommend visiting the cathedral, Early English style with few later alterations. There are helpers in the cathedral and good guide material. Town centre is small but with expected shops, pedestrian area, .

There is nothing bad about a stay in Worcester.

There is nothing bad about a stay in Worcester. Most visitor places are close and from where we stayed at DIGLIS House Hotel we did not need to use the car. The river is close and there are many benches to sit on while watching the swans (at least 30 all staying together) or the rowers. Many good restaurants within waalking range but not all are open on Sundays so bear this in mind.

The cathedral is most impressive with Arthur and John both kings of england, Stanley Baldwin pm, 2 two saints, loads of bishops al buried their, please use a guide it helps a lot, the one we had was very good There’s Roman history, the civil war started and finished there, the town centre is quits big, but there is a nice 2.5 mile walk to link all the historical places, it can be downloaded of the web

We booked this hotel for the Three Choirs Festival in Worcester. It was perfectly located for our stay, within walking distance of all the concert venues we attended. The room was spacious, well-equipped (nice to see a walk-in shower) and clean. Although the hotel itself didn't serve breakfast, Fred's Cafe on the ground floor provided a very acceptable alternative (when it was open). Wi-fi connectivity was good, and private parking was only a few yards away.

Food in the bar was good. Limited menu but nice . Bar area comfortable and staff/team were excellent. Always polite, with good service and engaging conversation/ interest in our presence there, wanting to make our stay enjoyable. Location was good; easy trip into Worcester and parking space excellent. Drive into the hotel grounds was very nice.
