The host sent good directions to find the property- we had no issues despite having no phone signal. The cabin is beautiful and perfectly formed - a very cost space with everything you need for a couple of nights away. The log burner was an excellent feature and kept us nice and toasty during our chilly November visit. It was lovely of the hosts to stock this with logs, firelighters and matches. The bed was comfortable and big enough for 2. The cabin had electric lighting and hot water, and the host even provided a battery pack to charge phones. The location was incredibly peaceful, tucked away on a large farm and in a valley. There was a lovely stream running through the large fenced garden which was lovely to sit by in the evening, and my dog loved paddling. It was very quiet and relaxing - my anxious reactive dog was in his element as soon as he leapt out of the car! Wonderful stay.

Interesting ex-mining town with industrial history, fine church (St Giles), and plenty of eateries and bars. National Trust properties and fine aqueducts near by (Chirk for example). And of course the football ground. Just mind the 20mph limits everywhere (and not all signposted...)!

Wrexham itself is a nice enough place with some lovely people and some nice bars and shops but as with any City there's some dodgy areas and shady and rough looking characters around and it can become rowdy at night( We are getting old however) Its fine for a weekend visit but not much to keep you there any longer than that in all honesty.

The hotel was lovely.

The hotel was lovely. Spacious room, comfortable bed, bath and shower, Iron and hairdryer. Lovely staff at the bar and for food service. They were all smiles with brilliant communication skills. Loved that there was a pool table. Outside area was beautiful. A little park also if you take your kids with you. Free parking.

We often stay in or near Wrexham.

We often stay in or near Wrexham. My partner comes from this area and we visit his mother in a nursing home close by. Usually the accommodation is good. Sadly none of the places we know had a vacancy. It is a busy small town and the people are friendly. There is a great restaurant called the Boat at Erbistock which we visit frequently

We saw the outside stadium (had no time for a tour of that facility), bought some Wrexham football club souvenirs downtown at a bigger store than is in the stadium, and enjoyed a pint and lively conversation in The Turf pub. Met a fellow who took us downtown and did an impromptu tour of Wrexham! He was knowledgeable and good fun! Getting around is easy via walking.

Host Mark was very friendly. Each room in the house was numbered and each guest was presented with a front and room door key. The house was very clean and there was tea and coffee available had I wanted it. The location was five minute walk to the Racecourse Stadium, seven minutes to Wrexham General Station and a ten minute walk into Wrexham City Centre. I had a fantastic experience at Mark's house and I will be staying there again when in Wrexham.

The hotel is an old converted convent and has plenty of character. The staff were all really friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean and a good size(our rooms were supposedly haunted). The food was great and the bar area was cosy.
