Hotel in Gibraltar
This magnificent landmark hotel is located on the Rock of Gibraltar, and has stunning views. I would definitely recommend this hotel! The location right at the Rock is cool, while it is still close inside the city center. Everything looks nice, but you can also tell that the hotel is around for a while already - which gives the place an incredibly special and cool flair!

Providing free WiFi throughout the property, Engineer Guest House is located in Gibraltar, a 14-minute walk from Eastern Beach and 0.8 miles from Cathedral of Saint Mary the Crowned. Judy was very friendly and accommodating. We were traveling by bike and she found a place for us to store our bikes. Coffee, tea and cake in the apartment were a nice treat. Comfortable bed, plenty of space, and clean bathroom. Good location for walking to restaurants and for going up the rock.

Rock Hotel, Sunborn Gibraltar, and The Eliott Hotel got great room view-related reviews from travelers in Gibraltar.
The rock hotel was a lovely hotel, staff very helpful, rooms clean and well presented, the bar was well stocked with good label drinks and british prices, my only gripe if any was the hill to the hotel, anyone with walking issues should plan pickup etc. excellent hotel and holiday
By its very nature this is not an ideal place for those with mobility issues. Everything goes up or down, seldom flat! The top of the rock with the apes is a must see. Take the cable car. The Almeda Gardens are well worth a look. The museum with the Moorish baths is interesting. If you're fit everywhere is walkable, but there is a good bus service. All busses start and end at Casemate square.
We arrived by car and had to queue because a plane was taking off. It was so cool, as one usually stops for trains! We took a dolphin cruise and even if we did not see any dolphins it was great to see the Rock from the sea. We also visited the Rock natural reserve and obviously saw the famous monkeys which were quite friendly. We did a bit of Tax Free shopping in Main Street, had a beer in a local pub and a decent dinner in the new marina. It was a great stay, despite the horrible, rainy and foggy weather. I would like to go back to see the magnificent view of the bay from the top of the Rock. It's also great that you can walk to most attractions as driving can be tricky and parking next to impossible.
Gibraltar, up to now, was a place that I had only experienced by two brief stopovers on cruise ships, I wanted more time to explore so I booked a short holiday giving me time to see more of the rock and the town. 4 days was enough, giving us time to explore the rock and all its places of interest, the high spots for me were the siege tunnels and St Michaels cave, the monkeys were entertaining but we could never relax when they were nearby, surprisingly it took 3 days to see all of the rock! The 4th day was spent exploring the town. We ate at some nice restaurants, Little Bay and Aqua Terra are two to be recommended along with the restaurant at the Rock Hotel. If we had stayed a 5th day we probably would have run out of things to do, as it is, we fly away from Gibraltar with good memories!
Interesting place to visit. Good public transport, good food, reasonable prices, excellent opportunities for duty free shopping. You need a day pass to access The Rock itself, and while it can be done in a day (I recommend very reasonably priced taxi tour), make sure you do all of it on the same day, otherwise you will have to pay again the next day, full price even for the smallest portion of it. Lots of walking, some of it very steep, plenty of history to see. Be aware that in many places you will have problems communicating in English (!). Also be prepared for very laid back approach to customer service - Gibraltar has a very North African character.
We live six months of the year in Spain, and now have to be careful about days spent there, as they are religiously stamping UK passports. We were sitting watching the rain battering on our window in UK , fancied some sun, and got cheap flights to Gib. Really enjoyed it. Loads of history, nice bars and restaurants and no EU officials stamping your passport !!.
Gibraltar
It was wonderful sitting out on deck in the endless sunshine with amazing views of the rock and marina. We loved watching the planes land and take off too. The location so near to the marina and it’s lovely restaurants, Casemates square and the main shopping streets was perfect. The boat isn’t as new inside as the photos suggest, it’s a lovely family home with all the comforts that come with it. Valeria the owner was really on the ball and made sure our stay was great.
Gibraltar
Highly recommended, Clean, perfect location for everything, and we had the most amazing view of the runway, Spain and the Rock. Fully equipped you can literally just turn up with your clothes. Along with the normal Tea & Coffee, there was added extras of Toiletries, wet wipes, cotton buds and deodorant! Katie is fantastic to deal with, was extremely helpful, and obliging when possible, and always quick to respond to any queries. We will definitely be back.
Gibraltar
Very well stocked for self-catering. I couldn't think of anything else that they could put in to make it better. Very comfortable bed. Good views from windows. Very clean and tidy. Great position for exploring Gibraltar. Nice welcome pack (including a bottle of wine). Excellent response to message queries. Good WiFi and TV channels. Can't comment on swimming pool as I didn't go to it, but they did provide pool towels.
Incredible views from the living room/balcony and bedroom! The host, Gail, was super helpful and very friendly. We were here to get married and she was able to provide us with the necessary proof of stay documents that the registry requires. Had a great time in Gibraltar, highlights were visiting "The Rock" during the day and enjoying drinks on the amazing balcony at night!
Gibraltar
Unlike a hotel it felt like home for a week. I was in flat 2. The decor is very dated but it doesn't matter. The road can be noisy with the window open in the lounge but because it is a solid building the bedroom is very quiet. I liked the amount of room I had and everything that anyone would need is provided. When in Gibraltar again I will definitely stay here.
Gibraltar
We came to Gibraltar for our wedding and were so happy with our choice of accommodation. The location is perfect; right on the beach, it’s very cozy and spacious inside and the host was really helpful - she helped us with the wedding paperwork. The booking included transfer to and from the airport which was really helpful. 100% recommend.
The location is ideal (although nothing is far in Gibraltar!) I thought it was excellent value for money. The pool at the hotel is great, limited sun beds but could always get a chair to relax in the sun. The room was clean & absolutely fine for our needs - air con & TV with really good Sky movie channels
Gibraltar
I wanted to just say what a lovely time we had staying here. Everything exceeded our expectations. From the kindness of the host, the fantastic location. Cozy accommodations. I truly can not speak higher. We cooked , watched some movies and relaxed after exploring Gibraltar. I can’t wait to stay again!
Great hotel, friendly staff and very clean. Our room was a good size with a balcony. Fantastic location for bars and restaurants, and not too far from the airport Brilliant mini break to Gibraltar would highly recommend both The Sunburn & Gibraltar:)
We loved the large and extremely comfortable bed. The location of the hotel is very central and is easy to get around from there. A taxi from rhe airpirt cost £8.50. The hotel foyer is very elegant and the staff were all very polite, friendly and helpful.
Visit to Gibraltar was to get married. Chic New Studio went out of there way to make our stay perfect. Wine, chocolate and a beautiful wedding card. All the little touches were perfect. Centrally located, exceptionally clean very comfortable.
Brilliant spacious room overlooking the marina looked after by very friendly staff. Thanks for another great stay!
Great location, lovely owners and great price. Unique place to stay, loved it!
Everything was lovely, our apartment was huge and the view was amazing. Food was excellent but what made our stay special was the lovely Canadian girl from the pool bar. Such a genuine and welcoming person. Thanks a lot for making this weekend so enjoyable. Room 505 & 506
