This is a great place to stay, right on the Rock. Short walk to the cable car to the top of the rock and much to explore there. After hours of exploration, it was wonderful to jump into the pool and order drinks and sandwiches. Staff was very helpful and kind. Hotel was nicely decorated and rooms was very comfortable

The apartment was beautiful, well looked after, the cupboards were fully stocked with the essentials such as cooking oils, tea and coffee which was a lovely surprise. The host was very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The spa was extremely relaxing and quiet while we were there, so it was an amazing bonus.

We enjoyed our stay. We went up the cable car to see the monkeys, did the dolphin safari boat trip.(that was lovely to watch)
Ocean Village near the city centre was fantastic, sitting with a drink next to the marina. Plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from.
Market place/casemates Square is nice to walk around along the main street to do any shopping. The bus terminus is also there.

We love Gibraltar.
We love Gibraltar. It's very English, yet Spanish and generally very clean, safe and friendly. (Apart from some Spanish people). We love the history, the views, the walks and the restaurants. There are plenty of interesting places to visit, nice beaches - particularly Sandy Bay where we learned to paddle board, just! The dolphin trip (blue boat)was great, as was a day on a Jolly Parrot yacht.
We loved to eat at Monique's - great food and super friendly staff. We enjoyed the wartime tunnels and loved all the caves, particularly St Michael's.
We would recommend NOT bothering with Goreham's cave museum, you get a 30min powerpoint presentation, no cave access except when booked months in advance on a special tour. The city museum is excellent however.
The buses (when not on strike) will take you around the city. Avoid taxis - they are only interested in filling up with 15 passengers to go up the Rock, they are very unreliable. Luckily most things can be walked to including the airport and Spain.

Loved Gibraltar, liked the small scale of the area with numerous attractions. I really like the Cable Car and nature reserve, particularly St Michael's cave - really awesome! Also did a dolphin boat tour - have done this at least on three separate occasions.
The food and variety of restaurants were good.
We purchased the hopper bus tickets for both days but this was not necessary as it is so easy to get around. We could get around with a car as there is quite a lot of public parking.

The view from the room was best.
The view from the room was best. Day and especially at night. 4th floor best view. The location is on a steep hill, there is a bus which serves the area and stops opposite. The pool is very clean and salt water. Showers are available. We used them but others didn’t. The cable car is very busy. We took a dolphin boat trip which was amazing. So many dolphins. Food venues seem to close earlier than advertised. Overall a great place to visit.

I didn't manage to find the right recommendation about Gibraltar before I went. It's a beautiful place. Should spend at least 5 days. Explore the hills/rock - I do recommend taking the mini bus instead of doing on your own. We stayed 15 minutes bus ride into the old town. I recommend staying near to old town for convenience. But if you like beaches then do stay near the beaches. There are many restaurants, take off the beaten track away from the main road at the old town.

monkey took my glasses from my face which meant I could not see clearly until i got back to madrid. The accommodation was good except i had to climb 2 flights of narrow stairs and i an 90. a restaurant which advertised english food did not serve dinner despite the fact that i had enquired earlier. when i ordered a taxi on leaving and told them my location, the woman told me to go somewhere else which meant carrying my luggage further, and then the taxi driver was looking for went me at the place i had requested! i went to the beach but was not impressed -no facilities
A centrally located hotel in the heart of main street. With everything you need to have a pleasant stay. This hotel offers, comfy beds, cable TV and a pool with bar. There are a variety of rooms to suit travellers needs, couple, famlies, individuals. Wondeful welcoming staff, and 24hr reception. I love the traditional Gibraltar ambience it offers, as Gibraltar becomes more modern, this feels more homely and keeps me coming back year after year!
Fantastic boat located on one of the marinas, Johnny and Tracey were fantastic hosts and made us both feel very much at home, particularly as we'd had to book at very very short notice due to a cancelled flight. If you're looking for something a little different this is the place to stay. Very convenient location for town and yet very peaceful at night. I would thoroughly recommend staying here again.
