You get what you paid for . This is the cheapest accommodation in town and you can’t expect a lot . I went there with low expectations and I was pleasantly surprised cos it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be . The staff are absolutely lovely . Don’t expect daily cleaning , breakfast buffet , cocktails at the pool etc and you won’t be disappointed . If you are on a budget you can’t get nicer , safer , friendlier environment.

The place is extremely well located, in the centre of Aegina town and at walking distance from the harboiur. If you have a car, there is a public, free, parking nearby. The flat is modern, clean. There were some - dead - corkroaches on the floor and the bath towels were hard and rough. The mattress was far too soft, but I understand this is personal taste, others may like it like this. The keys were on the door when we arrived.

EASY to drive around the island. Noce experience taking the fast ferry from Piraeus to Aegina Port. Most beautiful and fine sand beach was Agina Marina. Danae Hotel was WONDERFUL. Aegina Town is a vibrant place full of cafes, restaurants, clothing and tourist shops. There are fruit sellers beside the marina selling the most delicious fresh fruit. It’s easy to visit the rest of the island using the local buses which cost only 2 Euros. A day trip to Ag Marina is highly recommended if you like swimming and sunbathing. The last group of beach umbrellas are free to use. You can buy drinks and food from the restaurant behind. They do beach service. Perdika is a nice day trip, especially if you go to Moni Island as well.
The Temple of Aphaia and Palachora are easily accessed by the local bus service. I enjoyed eating at Dromaki, where I had melt in your mouth, slow cooked lamb.

Aegina is a very pretty town with ferries coming and going all day, every day. Its only 40 mins from Piraeus, but a world away from the city. I visited in off season - November - but the weather was lovely at 23*C. There are plenty of places to eat along the waterfront, and it is an easy place to explore by walking, bus or taxi. You can hire bikes too just opposite the port. I visited the ruins & museum at the end of town; and travelled to other places on the island including the Temple of Aphaia, Agin Marina, and Paliachora. The people are very friendly. I could have easily stayed longer!

I Have grown up in Aegina seen it change and expand but it still keep a charm about it ,where there used to be little cafes bakeries and all sundries are now well expanded bars. The back street now have a myriad of shops and all you need provision wise, the old fish market survives and is renowned for its fresh fish and restaurants serving the same all the way back to Athens .
It gets now very busy at the weekend as the Atheans flood back from the city .the town prides itself on its impressive ancient history and modern cultural endeavours galleries and festivals . There are not the boys on tour nonsense beer bellies rowdy 'go on down it Dave' ! of other big islands which i have also lived on in Greece. the larger groups are made of the sailing fraternity so you may get a group of 10 Dutch, German or English but they have a different and more respectful etiquette, the bars are very much for Greeks of all ages with the tourist filling the other seats in harmony . it can be noisy as the ferries bring in and take out persons and trade all day ,but it settles again as the ships leave .

plenty of inexpensive restaurants, we ate under the starts every night.
Excellent fish, and indeed they cooked their meat really well too.
You could find a nice bottle of local wine for less than 25 euros.
Beautiful guesthouse in the centre of aegina town located a short walking distance from the restaurants and bars as well as the beach and archaeological site of colonna.
I stayed here for two nights in januari and I had a wonderful stay. The room is quite spacious and has an authentic touch to it. Also, the breakfast was really nice with lots of homemade cake by the host :)
All in all, I would definitely recommend this place either to couples or solo travelers!
Apartments were in a perfect distance from the city and from the marathonas beach, in the middle (there was a supermarket there as well). I've never met friendlier staff, Stefania was very helpful and caring about her guests, trash in the rooms were taken out daily and every 2-3 days we were given new bedsheets. Large parking lot, very nice view of the moni island and Perdika city from the appartment and a very nice restaurant just across the street.

The pool was superb, the room was super cosy with a great and spacious balcony. Breakfast was okay given the low price of the room. The hotel is 10-15 minutes on foot from Aegina town.
