NetherlandsThe host was very friendly and gave us a lot of information. The room and bathroom were clean and big enough. Breakfast was also very good, plenty of choice. You can walk to the museum and archeologic site. There are also many restaurants in the neighborhood. Parking is a bit more difficult because the street is busy during daytime.

United StatesThe location is wonderful. 10 minute walk to Delphi. The hostess is friendly and very helpful. She has a great sense of humour. Yolanda who prepares breakfast was like having a Greek aunt in the house! Breakfast was delicious and she was a dear soul.

Delphi is my favorite place in Greece.
Delphi is my favorite place in Greece. The village, the Archaeological Museum, Temple of Apollo, Temple of Athena Pronaia... all amazing. I felt privileged to be amongst the spirits of the Gods and hope to return one day.

Visit the museum first as it iputs the site into context and...
Visit the museum first as it iputs the site into context and has the good objects in it. Then visit the ruins. Lovely countryside and views around the village itself has views down to the sea. The lower Delphi ruins were closed off. I came by 8.30 bus from Athens , visited the site at about 1pm and stayed a night and went back the next day..

We arrived on a Monday afternoon but the main attraction...
We arrived on a Monday afternoon but the main attraction closed at 15:00 hours. We decided not to rush through the ancient sites (wise decision) so we walked around the town and took in the spectacular views.
The ancient sites are well preserved and worth the trip.

The ancient city is very interesting on its own but combined...
The ancient city is very interesting on its own but combined with the dramatic landscape of steep mountains and views, it is wonderful!! There are a lot of stairs. The museum was definitely worth visiting. It got busy with tour groups so I suspect early or late in the day would be best.
We ate in two of the Tavernas with views. Both good.

Steeped in history and worth the road trip from Athens to see the archeological site and museum. Amazing exhibits in the museum that brought the site to life and made sense of what we had walked around.

Most persons come to Delphi for the day from Athens.
Most persons come to Delphi for the day from Athens. We stayed over night. The town is small and the restaurant we found was a mom & pop place which added some charm, but after visiting the archaeological site and museum, we could have easily driven to Athens and stayed there, so it depends on one's itinerary as to the need to stay in Delphi overnight.

The hotel was great, amazing view, coy tiny little room. Faclities were good, however our air-con was not working. Thanks goodness, it cooled off at night and we slept with our balcony door open. Breakfast had a good variety. Staff were super friendly. Location perfect. Good walking distance from everything.

Fantastic the pool and overall the architecture and comfort of every facility at the hotel; relaxing time, simple and full of beautiful moments, nice restaurant, nice food; I can say that Amalia Hotel was maybe the most comfortable one I have ever stayed at; that said with no exaggeration at all, thank you!

Hotel was very comfortable although a little noisy (but management can’t be blamed for inconsiderate guests). View from the balcony was stunning and it was an easy walk to the museum and ruins.
Also breakfast was one of the most generous we had experienced in Greece!

The view from the balcony was incredible, hotel owner and staff were so lovely and sold selfmade olive oil. They were also very helpful for all our questions.
Breakfast was very cozy.
We will stay in Hotel Orfeas again when coming back to Delfoi.
