You can walk to the museum and archeologic site. There are also many restaurants in the neighborhood. Parking is a bit more difficult because the street is busy during daytime.

Delphi is my favorite place in Greece.
Delphi is my favorite place in Greece. The village, the Archaeological Museum, Temple of Apollo, Temple of Athena Pronaia... all amazing. I felt privileged to be amongst the spirits of the Gods and hope to return one day.

Visit the museum first as it iputs the site into context and...
Visit the museum first as it iputs the site into context and has the good objects in it. Then visit the ruins. Lovely countryside and views around the village itself has views down to the sea. The lower Delphi ruins were closed off. I came by 8.30 bus from Athens , visited the site at about 1pm and stayed a night and went back the next day..

We arrived on a Monday afternoon but the main attraction...
We arrived on a Monday afternoon but the main attraction closed at 15:00 hours. We decided not to rush through the ancient sites (wise decision) so we walked around the town and took in the spectacular views.
The ancient sites are well preserved and worth the trip.

The ancient city is very interesting on its own but combined with the dramatic landscape of steep mountains and views, it is wonderful!! There are a lot of stairs. The museum was definitely worth visiting. It got busy with tour groups so I suspect early or late in the day would be best.
We ate in two of the Tavernas with views. Both good.

Steeped in history and worth the road trip from Athens to see the archeological site and museum. Amazing exhibits in the museum that brought the site to life and made sense of what we had walked around.

Most persons come to Delphi for the day from Athens.
Most persons come to Delphi for the day from Athens. We stayed over night. The town is small and the restaurant we found was a mom & pop place which added some charm, but after visiting the archaeological site and museum, we could have easily driven to Athens and stayed there, so it depends on one's itinerary as to the need to stay in Delphi overnight.

This hotel was excellent value for money. The room was clean and spacious for a solo traveler and had a small balcony. The host was friendly and attentive. The breakfast was large and varied. The location was quiet, but walking distance from restaurants and the museum. I would stay again.

The hotel offers simple, but clean and exceptionally hospitable accommodation. It is very conveniently placed. George is a fantastic host and offered a very warm welcome. Breakfast was lovely. A really homely atmosphere. We enjoyed our stay very much.

The hotel is very clean, the staff are great, the rooms are spacious and cozy, but the view.... Wow!!!! The view is the best! Breakfast is fresh and they have fruits and very good Greek yogurt. We had a great experience at the hotel.
