Wonderful place to stay. Near to the port and beach⛱️. Only few steps up from the restaurant area but still very quiet at night time. I really liked the rustic atmosphere. Place was very clean and there was all you needed. Definitely would stay there again 😊

Excellent location and minutes from the centre…Anna’s house is an absolute gem of a place to stay in.. we were met by Eri at the harbour and all the communication has been amazing…. First time to Chalki but not our last, we felt like we really belonged…

The hosts were incredibly helpful and always quick to assist us with anything we needed. The location is perfect, right in the center and just steps away from restaurants, yet the house is wonderfully quiet and peaceful. We would definitely stay here again, and it will be the first place we check when we return to Halki.

Wonderful quiet island to visit - lovely port and rezzies, and Podamos Beach is , for us, perfect for a day..... with a great cafe.... Sun loungers - 2 for E30.... It is a lot more busy than when we first came.... many more loungers, and the enclosed more expensive sun booths have been moved, and the original deal - free if E30 spent on food - which was great - has gone.... !! We have visited Rhodes for the last 7 years as our one annual - go-to- staple trip , and Halki is a must for us..... Lovely shallow bay for swimming, paddling, and the view up to the Monastery and cemetery, is stunning..!! Can't wait for a 2027 return, and planning ...NOW..!!

Halki retains it's character, it's originality, it is not...

Halki retains it's character, it's originality, it is not yet corrupted by commercialism and tourism. Hence the fact that the majority of people staying here as visitors are, I would say, 50 years and above. The evenings are low key and revolve around the many waterfront little restaurants. There are yachts, superyachts, fishing boats and ferries coming and going all day long which is great to watch from your apartment or villa terrace or from the cafes and restaurants along the harbour, There is only one hotel and it is beautifully positioned on the shorefront at the entrance to the bay and harbour. Here there is no pool, you have the sea beside you and steps straight in off the terrace. Lunches and breakfast are excellent. They dont serve evening meals as people like to go into the harbourside restaurants. There are three beaches closeby and you can get a water taxi or land taxi or walk to each. The only tourists, really, are day trippers from Rhodes who come in the daily ferries and return later the same day. If you decide to come spend the extra and go for a waterfront apartment or villa with it's own access to the sea, it's well worth it. At the very least get a place that has a sea view and sun, even it's not waterside. If in doubt try the hotel where you are waterfront, all rooms seaview, most with balcony, have lovely terrace seating, tables and sunbeds and get you can have breakfast and lunch.

My wife and I have made several days trips from Rhodes to...

My wife and I have made several days trips from Rhodes to Halki over our last 6 successive annual visits... We love the island, its feel, and its peace and quiet, although our fav beach - Podamos - is now getting very busy.... A great beech cafe... changing facilities,and loos... 2 sunbeds for a day - 15E.... The beach is a wonderful bay - about 15mins ealk from port.. - very calm but cold clear water - you have to wade out miles to get out of your depth.... looking across to rugged boulder strewn hills and a lovely monastery with church yard..Recommend mid Sep as the best time to go... We have usually done a day trip, but this time booked a 1 nighter with accomodation, but had an enforced extra day due to weather ferry cancellation.... not too arduous that option..?! It is and will always be a Rhodes trip 'must do'..... and hopefully , same again in 2026..!!

Quite a little gem - we loved it!

Quite a little gem - we loved it! Has a bit of an Italian vibe to it due to its history. Great foil for the crowds in Rhodes - nice and quiet. Ultra friendly islanders who really made you feel welcome and had lots of suggestions. Some great intimate beach options - `I recommend using the sea taxi to get to some of them - and some nice little tavernas. with a coffee/pastry shop (get there early!). Worth a visit to the castle (via the islands taxi) with its history and well curated paths (we were 1 of 2 parties there on the day we went - so very quiet) and a lovely little taverna at the base parking area. Not too many shops for souvenirs and 3 or so supermarkets for all your essentials.

Halki is as peaceful as it is beautiful.

Halki is as peaceful as it is beautiful. An unspoiled island in the clearest blue Aegean Sea. The people of Halki are so welcoming and helpful. The restaurants offer great fresh food at very reasonable prices. All the beaches are clean and accessible. It is real gem! We always stay at Ftenagia as it is so peaceful ans only a short walk to the port.

Wonderful island quite non touristy and pretty. Friendly and lots of lovely little tavernas around harbour. Beaches within walking distance/short ferry ride. We stayed 4 days which was a nice length of time. Would recommend a visit here. Easy to get to from rhodes

The staff / owner was super responsive, and they provided early check-in, which was much needed, as we were travelling all night to reach Halki. The location is super; on the way to Pondamos beach and 6-7 minutes to the port and 6-7 minutes to Pondamos beach.. uphill but not a major problem for us. The room was clean with slippers, toothbrush (not used, though), and a very well functioning a.c. Good mattress. Charming decoration.
