Comfortable bed, great shower pressure, loved the bonus Raki and cookies. Also nice to have a pool! Easy to find parking for hire car and not far from Matala and Pitsidia with heaps of food options.

Very beautiful bungalow, well equiped. There are two big room and a bathroom and a terace. Very good breakfast. Situated on the end of the small city of Matala in peaceful area with a nice pool.

Excellent location friendly people very good experience

We, a couple, stayed one week, and had a great stay there. Our room was big enough, we found storage space for our stuff, bed was just the way we like it(hard but comfy). The cleaning was excellent. Breakfast was very good, with lots of fruits and salads to choose from. The pool area is nice and spacious, and it was never crowded. Food and drinks in the poolbar was also very good, with an oki price level. And most important; the staff was all very nice and helpful. The lady in the poolbar is a solid 10 of 10 points, just as all the others there.

You can notice there is a lot of thought behind the design of the whole property, everything is clean and relaxing and cared for. The housekeeper is a gem and was quick to clean our room everyday and ensured we had lots of towels, cold water bottles and new toiletries :). Also Fay is quick to respond if you need help with anything and makes sure that everything goes smoothly. The breakfast is amazing, makes use of local products, and is prepared freshly for you. The location is perfect as it is less than a 5 min walk to the city centre with lots of restaurants and some mini markets, while being out of the noise. If you rent a car, lots of other beautiful beaches are within a 45 min drive. Lastly, the lovely team at Adama made us feel welcome and ensured that we had a great and comfortable stay across all 13 nights.

I liked the location, right next to the beach, you don’t need a car, very close to seafront restaurants, shops and everything you need. The breakfast was good and the staff are realy nice.

The hosts are amazing, the property si beautiful, the bungalows are well separated for privacy and very clean. The view is breathtaking, especially in the night when you can see the stars. The breakfast is amazing. The dinner is also available but should check before. A car is mandatory to be able to visit beaches and other attractions.

This is our fourth time in Matala and fourth time at Hotel Neos. Cornelia and Michael are gentle and attentive hosts, always happy to have a talk with you. Breakfast is ok, rooms are tidy and clean. The Hotel is close to Matala centre and the beach (going on foot) in a very quiet position.

We stayed for seven days in August 2024. and had a wonderful time. The owners of the hotel, three generations, all were kind and considerate in every way. The hospitality of these people from the south of Crete is unsurpassed! We felt warm and cozy like in our own house!

I can't understand why this hotel is only rated 2 stars! It deserves at least 3 stars, if not 4. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the pillows are perfect—not too fluffy or too soft, which is a big deal for me. Our room had a fantastic view of the pool and a large balcony. The bathroom was a decent size, unlike many others that tend to be small. And the power shower? Absolutely loved it! The location is ideal, just a 2-minute walk to the beach and nearby restaurants, which offer a great variety of fish, seafood, and meat dishes. Each room has a fridge, excellent air conditioning, and a smart TV. Breakfast includes fresh meats and cheese, or you can choose hot options like omelettes. We enjoyed this hotel so much that we extended our stay by two nights. We initially planned to stay in Matala but found Kalamaki to be a hidden gem and one of our best discoveries ever. While Matala is nearby if you want to visit, we preferred the quieter, more relaxed atmosphere of Kalamaki. In my opinion, the beach here is much better. We might just make this our regular destination.

We stayed at this place for a week, while exploring this beautiful island and we did not regret it at all. The room was spacious, clean and had a terrace. Eleni is the kindest and the most hospitable person. You can also have a breakfast there if you prefer to have a slow morning.
