It was more like a 3 star hotel rather than two. The room was bigger than usual hotel rooms we stayed in, the breakfast had warm food and fruits as well, the towels were changed daily and there was a 24/7 reception. And the hotel is in the old city area, pretty close to a supermarket and to the bus station.
The staff were very polite and attentive to our needs.

Patra is a town full of University students that makes it a very live, fun town. There is a great balance of nightlife, city culture, sea and country experiences available. The Castle on the top of the hill is a must see as is the Roman Odeon. The best was walking down the main strip on a Friday night. The city was alive with people having a fabulous night out. Shopping, cafes and restaurants galore. Make sure you go when the Universities are running as you may have a very different experience.

From here, you can use a bus to reach Kiato, Corinth and Athens very cheaply. It is a beautiful town with nice monuments and ancient traditions. Pleasant city, active nightlife, many shops and excellent cuisine. From the Gulf of Patra you enter the Peloponnese. It is the right place to start a trip to Greece if you arrive by ferry from Italy, either with your own vehicle or simply on foot.

Patra has some great archaeological sites & a castle but...
Patra has some great archaeological sites & a castle but don't visit on a Tuesday as they are closed all day. It was easy to walk where I wanted to. There were lots of buses but I didn't have time to find out where you could travel to. So for those who don't want to walk I'm sure public transport could be an option. There were many bars & cafes. Interesting street & shops. You are close to the port if you wish to get a ferry to somewhere.

Patra is not a city for tourists.
Patra is not a city for tourists. It is very dirty, there is glass and rubbish on every street and it is difficult to get around. We went for over a week for a hotel staycation but massively regretted it and couldn’t wait to leave. Food options are limited. Google maps listings are outdated and incorrect and it is just not a nice place for a tourist to be.

The city is lively and vibrant with many cafes etc., nice murals... but I was surprised it looks quite run down. Unfinished buildings, grafitti, unpaved areas, dried lawns and flowers, old benches, fountain not working, lots of beggars.
Does it deserve a better management/ mayor? The castle area has such a huge potential. A few cafes there and a pavement just in the process of building... but what have they been doing the last 10-15 years? As if the city was sleeping.... what is the story?
In my eyes, at the moment, just for a necessary stay over if you travel by ferry.

Helpful staff. Kettle on request at booking. Clean room, comfortable large bed, balcony, fridge with water supplied. Lift to all floors. No steps. Buffet breakfast 5 euro great value with good choice of hot and cold food. Will always use this hotel for Patras visits. Close to the ferry port so it is ideal for hopping over to Kefalonia. Also no problem later check out to tie in with ferry. Luggage storage. Great value.

Very nice, brand new hotel in city center. Lady on the reception is very kind and easy to comunicate. Apartment is like on the pictures with everything you need to feel like home. It was very clean and warm for our winter stay. I recomend this place.

Amazing location in the Patras Marina but very close to the city center.
Modern decor with a funky twist and comfy rooms. The staff is really friendly and helpful.
Free parking is a great plus of the hotel.

I liked the traditional character of the building which was a 5 min walk to the centre of Patra CBD. The 2 parking spots outside the hotel for hotel guests made our life easier.
