In central Sitia, the family-run El Greco Hotel is 330 yards from the Blue Flag beach. On the ground floor you will find a breakfast hall. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property. Charming hosts, chatty and knowledgeable about the area with good tips on where to visit. The hotel is a short walk from the sea front, convenient for food & shops. The room was comfortable & well equipped with a view over buildings to the sea.
Located in the port of Siteia, just 66 feet from the sea, Nora Hotel offers air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi and balcony overlooking the Cretan Sea and the mountains. This place is close to town but really quiet. Such a beautiful location and the family that has the hotel is sweet! No problems at all but they helped in every way!
Hotel Sea Breeze lies 1.2 mi east of Sitia and a 10-minute drive from some of the greatest beaches in Lasithi. It offers affordable rooms, many with sea views. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room sizes were huge, for the price you pay. Aircon was good.. The apartment had all you need to cook a good meal. The swimming pool was lovely and an added bonus. We loved the hotel cat and kittens. Thank you for a relaxing stay.
The Itanos is a 3-star hotel on Sitia’s pretty waterfront, only 200-yards from the beach. This hotel offers modern rooms, friendly service and a lovely roof garden with great views. Location is perfect in the center next to all the rakadika taverns. Roof garden with exceptional view... A nice pool on the roof to chill out
Just 98 feet from the beach and 1969 feet from the center of Sitia, Bay View Apartments offer air-conditioned accommodations with direct Cretan Sea views. The site of ancient Petras is 328 feet away. Great place to stay for family or small group Facilities and location was fantastic Very clean also Thank you
Just 328 feet from the sea, in Siteia, Oceanides offers air-conditioned apartments with a private balcony overlooking the Cretan Sea. Nektarios made our stay! His welcoming, service-minded approach makes you feel at home instantly - and that you have found a new friendship on Crete. We pretty much already had our itinerary planned but really appreciated the additional recommendations on where to have dinner and/or lunch, plus the tip to head for Mitsakakis to enjoy the best loukoumades (and having been around much in Greece I can only agree, they made the best loukoumades I have ever had)! Would love to come back and stay some more nights!
Just 98 feet from Sitia Beach, Nereides features a beach bar and free sun loungers with umbrellas. Surrounded by a lush garden, it offers modernly decorated accommodations with a kitchenette. We visit Sitia every summer more or less on the same period. This was our first stay with Nereids even though we have wanted to stay over before but it 's been always sold out and this year I understand why! The location and the atmosphere is divine. The rooms are under the trees with unlimited grass around you and the beachfront on your toes! The rooms are very spacious and comfortable! Katerina & Argyris are more than great hosts and always happy to assist with anything. Will definitely visit again and this time will book as soon as possible.

Sitia hasn't any charm or something special. There is a promenade where the locals walk up and down, besides that, there are some restaurants, nothing amazing, the sort of tourist places where the food is average and the prices moderate. The beach isn't bad but either good. There are two beach bars that are OK with fair prices. Otherwise you can get a sunbed at any of the restaurants on the beach side. You won't miss anything if you won't visit Sitia. Agios Nikolaos is far more charming with way more options for going out. The beautiful beach of Vai isn't far from Sitia but i didn't find any public transportation going there, so i had not the chance to go.
Sitia is a clean, beautiful town with a really nice harbor area. It is close to Vai Beach and Zakros, but you need a car to get around. In town there is a nice Archaeological Museum and a Venetian fort. It’s a laid back place for R&R!
We came with friends in February which is off season. Resort and town were very quiet which we liked. We could walk along the beach to all the Cretan Restaurants that had delicious local cuisine. Sitia is not as touristy as Heraklion or Chania. The harbour is one of the prettiest in Crete.
We LOVED Sitia!! Never experienced such a generous people. Everyday we were gifted either with free beard trim, luggage repair, items of new clothing at boutiques and the ever- present delicious sweets and raki after a meal. Small idyllic village of about 16,000 situated on the pristine Mediterranean. Such a peaceful vibe. Shops, cafes, restaurant , beach all within easy reach. Traditional, fresh, delicious Greek food everywhere reasonably priced. Live traditional music and dance at the many restaurants with tables on the waterfront. Some of the freshest most tender grilled Kalamari ever! Great guided day trip with Yannis touring the stunningly beautiful countryside and stopping on the roadside at teeny villages and to taste the olives, grapes, pomegranates, almonds straight off the vine. A hike through the Gorge of the Dead followed by lunch on the seaside at Zakros Amazingly, no negatives to report. Could feel the tension dissolve day by day. Shoulders dropped a couple inches!!
Sitia Bay Apartments were great, fantastic location on beachside with it's own cafe and beach chairs with full service, such a nice beach and beautiful weather, very nice staff at the Apartments and great for family and couple stays with full kitchen facilities in each room. Free parking on site also. Extremely relaxing and easy walk to numerous nice restaurants
Sitia is cute little city, which is not too touristy. There is not that much to see here. But rent a car and explore this eastern side. Hereyou will discover the quieter but very beautiful side of Crete! People are genuinely friendly and always ready to help.
Everything was wonderful. In particular the staff. Caterina the host was warm and welcoming with a plate of food in the fridge to welcome us and when we were sitting outside with a bottle of wine and the food provided she brought us another dish as well and it was all local produce and very tasty. The shower was up there with the best we have found in greece. There are free beach chairs and umbrellas across the road and it is a very short walk to the town squre where the tavernas and whops are. Wonderful place to stay
Very welcoming and warm hosts. Excellent value for money, at a 10-min walking distance from Sitia Marina. The apartment was new, deluxe, absolutely comfortable and decorated with great taste. Felt like home away from home! It has everything you need and more, including fully equipped bathroom and kitchen (washing machine, laundry soap, coffee, shampoo, mosquito repellent tablets etc). Impeccably clean, big bathroom, air-conditioned, cieling fans in every room. Absolutely recommended.
A 1.2km flat walk or a €4 taxi trip to the main centre of Sitia, this charming, single story hotel is directly across from beautiful Petra’s beach & in a very quiet location. There are rare turtles who nest here! Our comfortable room had doors opening onto a small balcony, aircon & good wifi The room was very clean, & the hosts friendly & helpful. Breakfast was very generous, cooked by the owner & served in a pleasant, light dining room with beach views.
Extremely helpful recommendations from the staff. Beautiful view and large terrace with comfortable furnishings. Walkable to all of Sitia. Flat easy parking and driving if taking the airport road to get in and out—possible to avoid the narrow and confusing streets downtown. Comfortable bed. Welcome bottle of wine. Provided beach towels.
Beautifully renovated like-new full apartment. Sparkling clean. A bath and a half. Location 2 mins from beach. Overlooking town square and all the restaurants and shops. Good size balcony for my morning workout and writing during the day. Full kitchen for cooking. Right in the midst of all the action in this beautiful village. Loved it!!!!
The apartments are cozy and clean. The location is spectacular, close to a small mesmerizing beach and just 5 minutes from the center of Sitia. We received a small welcoming basket full of local specialities. The family who owns the place was welcoming and always available to assist you in anything. Thank you again!
The hotel is located a few metres from the sea. The appartement facing the sea at the second floor included a well furnished kitchenette. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Sitia appears to have a tight community. Restaurant prices are quite affordable for budget travellers.
The owner/managers were very friendly, helpful and willingly changed our room when the aircon broke down. We would highly recommend this quiet hotel right on the waterfront as the place to stay in Siteia.
Nice hosts. They helped me anything I needed. The hotel is ten minutes far from the bus station on foot and near to tavernas. Lovely view of the from the terrace of my room
Great host very dedicated and helpful in any situation. Great view from the balcony. Close to sitia downtown by car. Close to greatest spots in eastern Crete by car.
This place is close to town but really quiet. Such a beautiful location and the family that has the hotel is sweet! No problems at all but they helped in every way!
Nice appartment with a sea view and close to the pool. Great tips from Nectarios to visit East Crete and make you feel at home !
This is a very nice hotel. Clean with large rooms. Very goof breakfast.
Incredible view of Sitia and the sea while sipping cocktails 😀
he property was good but the town was not worth the trip
(1) The breakfast was good - fresh food, lots of options, some variation from day to day. (2) The staff was super pleasant and helpful - I'd like to mention Roula at the reception especially, as she was super nice and helped us a lot with some local recommendations. (3) The rooms were basic but spacious and very clean. (4) the resort is located right next to the beach, with beach towels provided and available seats and beach umbrellas. (5)The location itself is nice, Sitia is a lively little town , especially at night. It's pretty far from Crete center, but that is entirely on us as we did not realize what a drive it would be from Heraklion (approx 2 hours due mainly mountain roads). We found the roads to be in pretty good condition (despite what the locals told us to expect) though a bit tricky at times, and the view along the way was spectacular (when the sun was up, at least). Overall, it was a very good weekend!
Anna, the host, was very kindly and attentive to us. She tried to help us with any problem we had. On arrival there were fruits and cookies as a present. The appartment was not new fashioned but it did not disappoint us. Beds were comfortable, everything we needed was in the apartment and worked well. Washing machine was also very helpful. Two bedrooms for us and our child and a balcony with the seaview and to Sitia. It was not stuffy with opened doors to balcony. The way to a beach is about 7 minutes and comes out to a beach and beach bars.
The host was very friendly and helpful. The facilities were comfortable, well equipped and good value fro money. The property is located very near to the town and the beach and also is quiet enough if one seeks to rest and relax.
Our host (Michael) was excellent, & very helpful. The unit was spacious, clean, and comfy. Located just outside the city, steps away from the shore, sheep & chickens across the street.
