Really nice hotel, with excellent staff (Alexandra was great!)! Since we came here by bus, the staff was extremelly helpful with bus tickets reservation and very useful tips, and we had even a late check-out. Breakfast was also good and the location is perfect - right in the centre of Sparti, with a nice walk to the restaurants close-by and the historical sights.

It was a nice hotel. My son had stayed there previously and recommended it for our trip to Sparta. I was not disappointed. The option for breakfast was great. It was simple but good food. I loved looking out off the balcony and seeing the surrounding mountains.

It was a lovely old house, guarded by two friendly dogs. Very comfortable, though a little cold at night, until I found the duvet. A good location, and the host was kind and helpful.

The apartment was absolutely wonderful: extremely spacious, brand new, and thoughtfully designed with exceptional attention to every detail. The elegant, minimalist aesthetic creates a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, making the stay both luxurious and incredibly comfortable. The apartment features smart KNX home automation, central heating, and beautifully designed spaces. The master bedroom is spacious and includes a comfortable en-suite bathroom, while the other two bedrooms offer excellent sleeping arrangements, with one double bed and one single bed, along with an additional bathroom. The lovely balcony, with its beautiful view of Mount Taygetus, was a real highlight. Located in a quiet and charming part of the city, surrounded by beautiful old mansions (αρχοντικά), the apartment offers the perfect combination of tranquility, character, and modern comfort. Everything was impeccable, and it is clear that great care and thought have gone into creating this exceptional space. I highly recommend this apartment and would definitely love to stay here again!

I recently stayed at Kyniska Palace Conference & Spa in Mystras in April 2025 and had a truly pleasant experience. The hotel is beautiful and well-maintained, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The room was clean and very spacious, which was perfect for my family—I stayed with my wife and two children. We booked the half-board option and really enjoyed both the dinner and breakfast provided; the food was delicious and satisfying. The hotel is located close to Mystras, a historic fortified town in Laconia, Peloponnese, situated on Mount Taygetus above ancient Sparta. In 1989, the ruins of Mystras—including the fortress, palace, churches, and monasteries—were named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The site features a museum and partially restored ruins that are absolutely worth visiting. I would definitely recommend Kyniska Palace to anyone visiting the region. It’s a great base for exploring the rich history of Mystras while enjoying comfort and great hospitality.

Lovely clean spacious room. Air conditioning, double glazing and wooden shutters so options for air circulation / heating /cooling. Everything was clean. The bed was so comfortable! The shower had a non slip mat which i appreciated. There was a safe, mini fridge in the room. Also a shady parking space and use of a pool (sadly we didnt have time) The staff were friendly. And very helpful. Great location in a quiet village.

Inclement weather and an unconsidered public holiday meant we only saw a fraction of what we had hoped to it what we did experience was worth the journey from Athens and we would return in a heartbeat. The scenery is spectacular and Mystras is amazing. Sparta’s archaeological museum is a hidden gem.

Sparti is a great town.

Sparti is a great town. We found a really great bar (Abbaeio) and ate well at The Mafia. The main purpose of our visit was to explore ancient/medieval Sparta and we were amazed how much there was to see. Most people visit Sparti on the way to Mistra, but the town is well worth a visit in itself.

I was there for a family reunion.

I was there for a family reunion. Meet my Greek cousins for the first time. We had a good time. We'll be going back in a couple of years, still more to see. We'll go in a different season. August in a heat wave... not my cup of tea. We also went to the Archaeological Museum in Sparta. Learned much. Glad we went as the Sparta exhibit at the National Archaelogical Museum in Athens was closed for updating.

Sparta is a nice town to visit, I think you can see the points of interest in one day, a night stay is a good choice if you would like to enjoy the city center. Its too bad the local government does not highlight the historical value Sparta is to Greece.

It was much quieter than Athens.

It was much quieter than Athens. I really enjoyed the peacefulness of it and the walkability. I was amazed that they didn’t have a traffic light and yet everyone, drivers and pedestrians, know what to do. It is a great city to visit.

The lady who welcomed us was extremely kind and very willing to explain everything about the apartment and all there is to see in Sparti and nearby places. A very friendly and pleasant person. Very nice, quiet apartment, with two bedrooms and a little garden outside. Good shower, big and comfortable beds. Private parking

The hotel was central and practical, with an efficient welcome at reception. The breakfast was pleasant, with friendly people in charge of it (though the food warmer needs attention). There were nice touches, such as the provision of dressing gowns. There was an excellent view of the mountains.
