United KingdomThe apartment was very easy to find and we parked directly outside. We had been given easy to follow key box instructions but met the lovely host by chance as we arrived. She had left us toast and jam and bottled water. The apartment is clean, spacious, well furnished and has an oven, hob, fridge, freezer, sink and ample crockery, pans, oven trays, cutlery and a washing machine. It has a big comfortable double bed and a separate sofa bed too. The bathroom has a good warm shower, toilet and sink.
Fabulous place to stay that I would recommend to anyone.

Inclement weather and an unconsidered public holiday meant we only saw a fraction of what we had hoped to it what we did experience was worth the journey from Athens and we would return in a heartbeat. The scenery is spectacular and Mystras is amazing. Sparta’s archaeological museum is a hidden gem.

Sparti is a great town.
Sparti is a great town. We found a really great bar (Abbaeio) and ate well at The Mafia. The main purpose of our visit was to explore ancient/medieval Sparta and we were amazed how much there was to see.
Most people visit Sparti on the way to Mistra, but the town is well worth a visit in itself.

I was there for a family reunion.
I was there for a family reunion. Meet my Greek cousins for the first time. We had a good time. We'll be going back in a couple of years, still more to see. We'll go in a different season. August in a heat wave... not my cup of tea.
We also went to the Archaeological Museum in Sparta. Learned much. Glad we went as the Sparta exhibit at the National Archaelogical Museum in Athens was closed for updating.

Sparta is a nice town to visit, I think you can see the points of interest in one day, a night stay is a good choice if you would like to enjoy the city center. Its too bad the local government does not highlight the historical value Sparta is to Greece.

It was much quieter than Athens.
It was much quieter than Athens. I really enjoyed the peacefulness of it and the walkability. I was amazed that they didn’t have a traffic light and yet everyone, drivers and pedestrians, know what to do. It is a great city to visit.

Great City Plan.
Great City Plan. It is easy to get around ,although parking is difficult. Taygetus is near, with excellent places for food. If you are ever in Sparta go to Kalamata through Taygetus, excellent DRIVE.
I visited Sparta for business and only for a day , so I can not comment on the life of today Sparta. As a Greek when I visit Sparta and enter the city , the first thing that I do is to visit Leonida's statue. Pay my respect to the hero and his fellow warriors.

Perfectly located in a quiet but stunning mountain village with snow capped peaks in the near distance. Fresh air and solitude, just what I needed. Apartment was spacious and clean, charming and cozy. The hosts Perikles and Vaso are the most loving and caring hosts I’ve come across so far in Greece. I found and adopted a beautiful puppy who was abandoned in the village making this a memorable and magical stay… and they helped with all of it. I will of course be back!

Communication with Marianna, before, during and when leaving was easy and efficient.
The location is perfect. Quiet, but bang in the centre of Sparti, which is a delightful working town with few concessions to tourism. A great selection of cafes and bars from traditional kafeneon to friendly music bars.
A great place to stay and well worth an extended visit rather than just passing through.

Really nice hotel, with excellent staff (Alexandra was great!)! Since we came here by bus, the staff was extremelly helpful with bus tickets reservation and very useful tips, and we had even a late check-out. Breakfast was also good and the location is perfect - right in the centre of Sparti, with a nice walk to the restaurants close-by and the historical sights.

breakfast was decent and a fair deal for the price paid. the room was clean and comfortable, and everything worked well. the receptionist was helpful and nice to us. the hotel is located right in the downtown, but free, public parking space is available nearby along the streets, just a short walk away.

The location of the hotel is great. Next to the city centre, across a large beautiful church with a nice park. Less than 5 minutes walk to the city's central square. The personel was rather helpful.
