The juice was delicious and Vera's homemade cake and pies were also very delicious! Everyday she would prepare us the fireplace and it was amazing to be able to have the fireplace in our room!

Zagora is a typical greek village. If you want to live among them, this is the place where you should be. It has that rural feeling, with very traditional food, which is great, but if you are looking for a modern look of the greeks, you should search something else. The closest city is at 1h with car and the roads aren't the easieast for the car. In the afternoon you dont have too many options for the frre time. Either you stay on the beach or in the room. it's worth a visit if you want to disconnect from everyday life and have a total relaxation.
Zagora is a mountain village surrounded by apple orchards and dense green woods. In the summer, it is a haven of cool weather. The views down to the sea are great; the food in the several tavernas (especially Thraka and Patis) is inventive, well prepared, and good value. The central plateia, of Agios Giorgios, is one of the most picturesque in Greece. The several churches spread through the village are distinguished by quite incredible carved wooden iconostases, which are well worth a look. Nearby, a half-hour bus ride, is the gorgeous beach, Chorefto, where the water is (usually, but not always) calm and warm. With a friendly, family-oriented atmosphere both Zagora and Chorefto are great destinations for anyone who wants a quite, restful break, with opportunities for hiking. For the car-less (like us), getting to Zagora by bus depends on making connections with the very few buses from the regional capital, Volos. Taxis are possible, but expensive (Euro 60). Still, Zagora is worth the trouble.
Nice small town with an interesting library, which conserves Greek manuscripts rarely studied. Beautiful natural environment, in the mountains but not far from the sea: if you have time go to Horefto to enjoy its gorgeous beach!

Our hostess Vera hosted us wonderfully and gave us very helpful advice on hikes and attractions around Pelion. The room was comfortable, clean and large with a perfect view of the Aegean Sea. I must note that the room was more successful than what was shown in the pictures. An especially tasty breakfast is served each morning. Interested in getting back as soon as possible :)

Homemade breakfast with traditional marmalade, grilled omelette and many other choices. We've enjoyed the filter coffee, which in many accommodations is not regarded as a must. Hoteliers are very hospitable, the sitting area with the fireplace is very home-like, with books to borrow for all ages.
Very nice and helpfull ovner. Very nice view for sea from one side and from the other apartement balcony you can see central place of Zagora with ordinary tasks of citizens. Nice place to stay. Ps. Thank you for nice evening chat about Greece history.
