The room was a good size with fantastic view of the Adriatic Sea. Large bathroom with separate large bath and bidet. King size bed and very comfortable mattress. Also given the choice of different pillows. The breakfast was fantastic with cold meats, cheese, bread rolls, croissants, cakes , orange juice, coffee and puddings served to your table with choice of various egg dishes. Also loved the spa area with infrared sauna, Swedish sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and indoor swimming pool. The massages provided by the masseuses was very relaxing.

A beautiful villa, dating from the early 1900’s, tastefully converted to a hotel by its owner, Vjecko Martinko. A feeling of wellness is evident in the property, directly on the famous Lungo Mare, a short distance from the old village of Lovran. A lovely breakfast each morning on the terrace sets the pattern of the day. The staff were are very friendly and Vjecko himself was present each day. It is only a few metres to swim in the crystal clear water of the Kvarner gulf, which we did several times each day, even in the rain.

All Staff was fantastic and always checking that all was good. Breakfast and dinner was very good. I liked that that the dinner was varied each day although it was buffet. Pools were clean and beach area was good too. Facilities were good too. Entertainment in the evening was very nice too. Although its a family oriented hotel we as a couple really enjoyed it too. Well done!

I loved the hotel. Mu room was small, but so cute and comfortable enough. It is old charm hotel, but clean. Breakfast was excellent, on the terrace with the see view. Excellent value for the money.

Lovran is a beautiful location. It is next to the sea and is aromatic with laurel and flowers. It has a quiet ambience with cosy bars dotted along a path by the sea. It has an interesting old town. I found the people I met helpful and friendly

Next to Opatija, Lovran is another classic, stylish...

Next to Opatija, Lovran is another classic, stylish destination close to the main roads leading to Croatia. Under the green mountains of the western side of Istria, villas, oldtown, rocky beaches await you with clear water and beautiful view towards Rijeka and the islands of Krk and Cres.

Small town with a wonderful little OldTown part.

Small town with a wonderful little OldTown part. I especially like that there is not too many tourists and that you can both enjoy the town beach just as the wild rocky beaches where you have more privacy! I would recommend Lovranski Pub and Delfino for GREAT meal! The walk road by the see - LungoMare give you a huge pleasure by the sea from Lovran to Volosko! The sea is clean and wonderful.

Lovran is an amazing place, place of historical and natural...

Lovran is an amazing place, place of historical and natural abundance. The only problem are the roads and basic infrastructure after beautiful promenade in Opatija and Lovran. The cars are driving like there is MonteCarlo, without any consequences or fines, and as a walker going to the beach, you are not considered. Simply, there is no basic traffic lights, sidewalks and you can easily get killed there if not careful enough when passing the main street. This is a problem of the state regulations, but hotel guests are in danger, especially children.

Well cared for, seafront although lacking sandy beach is well equipped in terms of terraces and steps leading into the sea with handrails to provide assistance. Also well positioned for visiting other locations. We. Visited Rijeka and the island of Krk.

Nice, spacious and well-equipped apartment in a quiet part of town. The apartment is about a 10-minute walk from the beach, market and historic city center. There is a supermarket about a 5-minute walk from the apartment. We really appreciated the terrace with a beautiful view of the garden and the sea. Parking is available directly at the house. We would like to thank Edo and his wife once again, who were very friendly and helpful. We would love to return to Lovran someday.

Wonderful and spacious apartment. Rooms and bathrooms clean. You can cook meals in the kitchen. One entrance from yard, second entrance directly to the terrace with spectacular sea view. Always enough sun beds at the terrace. A few steps away is a pool with a pleasant water temperature. You can also use another two outdoor pools of Hotel Excelsior, which are 5 min away, excellent quality, one fits very well for kids.

We came again after last summer here. Beautiful place near sea, very good location and view. Breakfast is really like 4 stars hotel. You can find good cappuccino on reception (2.80€) because they have troubles with good coffee in Croatia. Wi-fi works good. The administration always ready to help you with all needed info.

The perfect balance between the stylish Opatija and true-to-itself Lovran. A place where you find your balance in the soft blue of the sky, the dark blue of the water and the ruggedness of the coastal pines. The hotel could not have been positioned better. A true gem!
