All rooms have excellent sea views. Our family room has two large double beds and two bathrooms . Family size fridge and excellent aircon. Plenty of choices for breakfast included . Last but not least , snorkel straight off the beachfront !!!

Absolutely stunning, brand new accommodation. Everything one could need for a peaceful and comfortable stay with amazing views and the most beautiful private pool. A cook will come to your kitchen and provide whatever meals you’d like to order from their extensive menu, you can visit the trattoria across the road for delicious Italian dishes or nearby restaurants are happy to deliver. The kitchen has a gas stove top, kettle, toaster and blender and is well stocked. They provide beer and soft drinks in the full sized fridge at extra cost, but a lovely convenience. It’s within walking distance of the best snorkeling spots in Amed in my opinion with the beach opposite being sandy instead of rocks. The staff are all friendly and more than helpful, accommodating any request or issue. They also organised a scooter to hire for my 5 night stay.

The location was excellent for the beach at Amed. The restaurant was nicely located on the beach, with accommodation set back up the small hillside. The pools were a nice welcome with a great view of the beach and the mountains. The room was clean and comfortable and they welcomed us when we arrived.

The room was big and very clean. There is a lovely garden and a nice pool. The beach is only a short walk away and the staff is so helpful and friendly. The nearby warung "ketut" serves great food.

Amed is a lovely part of Bali.

Amed is a lovely part of Bali. We wanted a quiet, relaxing location and that's exactly what we experienced there. The locals are lovely and all the basics are available in the main street. I hope it never changes. There are many places to visit that aren't too far away from Amed. If you like to snorkel and scuba dive you won't be disappointed. This was a place that we felt confident to hire a motorbike to explore as the roads are not crazy. There was an abundance of eateries which we loved. If you love seafood, this is your place. Fresh fish straight off the boat.

For me, Amed is the place to go for seas that you can...

For me, Amed is the place to go for seas that you can actually access for gentle swimming/floating unlike most of Bali. Fresh Fish that is caught small scale and perfectly cooked, and accommodation that allows you to switch off from technology and just gaze out to sea...and have a quality in villa massage from Iluh @ amediluhhomeservicemassage (no affliation)☺️

Amed is like Bali 30 years ago.

Amed is like Bali 30 years ago. It has nice Warungs along the beaches and roadsides . There are some lovely viewpoint restaurants with views of the bays. Amed is good for ‘fall in the water’ snorkelling from the shoreline at Jemeluk, Lipah and at the Japanese Shipwreck. Enjoyed seeing all the colourful fish and Turtles. Taking a trip out to Lahangan Sweet to see Mount Agung from the various viewing platforms was one of my highlights. My negative experience was the amount of plastic rubbish in the sea. I started to gather plastic bags whilst I was snorkelling but there was too much. It moved in a slick, mixed with forest matter. I do hope the local authorities take some decisive action soon on this matter, as I spoke to many people who were unhappy for the sake of the marine life. It was also unpleasant having to snorkel and navigate to be free of the rubbish.

stretched out tourist town, not walk able, beware the dogs let free on streets as some will bite you just for going past and the locals don't care. the beach is not worth going to. there are easier and better places to go to for diving. Be careful if you do go diving as many don't follow the rules for beginners.

I live in Bali. We went there as a short stay. If you dive or snorkel I think that it would be brilliant. If you want to snorkel off the beach, even for for first timers, also geeat. If you want to go clubbing, dont bother. There is live music, but it is not a place for late night partying. Very laid back The views and landscapes are spectacular. The people are very welcoming. The shopping is limited, but you can find anything you need. There is accommadtion to suit every budget. Beer and food prices are VERY reasonable. The warungs do amazing food. If you ride a bike, suggest you get one and get out of the centre. We hired a driver so got to see more of tbe place

quiet, clean location. Road outside not really designed for leisurely strolls as no footpath/pavement/sidewalk for quite a while. But okay if you're used to walking half on/half off a reasonably busy at times road. Nice neighborhood close by, where footpath/sidewalk begins, and of course there's always the beach which is just across the road . . . and a short walk along the beach to the north presents you with the most magnificent, uninterrupted view of Gunung Agung !!

If you're looking for the best quiet place in Bali, go to the Amed and stay here in De Adema. We decided to stay here longer ( I think many guests do it) because we fell in love with these amazing views on volcano and snorkelling with turtles and fish. Delicious breakfast, which you are able to book till 12 o'clock (great choice for a late person). Cleaning is everyday, no need to ask for it. Staff is friendly and helpful 🙂

We just spent a week here and we loved it. Cosy beach hut style rooms with restaurant and pool right on the beach perfect location for snorkling and discovering the Amed area. Staff are super friendly like most people in Bali. If you're after 5 star luxury this might not be for you but if you want a great Bali experience the Santai is perfect. Very relaxed vibe and good value for money. Thank you.

Beautiful gardens in a peaceful beachfront setting. We loved the ‘old Bali’ feel…friendly staff and good food at the hotel. Snorkeling right off the beach at the hotel was great..and plenty of shady chairs to enjoy the view. Pool was also good to cool off.
