We stayed for almost two weeks at Ayunan Beach Villas in Amed, and it was absolutely perfect. The entire staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. Everything was very clean and comfortable, and it ended up being one of the best vacations we've ever had. For us this place felt like paradise because we love snorkeling. Snorkeling right in front of the villa was already amazing—you can also take a snorkeling trip with one of the boats anchored just offshore, which was a fantastic experience. Sometimes we walked over to Ibus Beach, which also offers great snorkeling. It was simply an unforgettable time!

This stay was unexpected as we only booked it to visit The Gate of Heaven. However, we were pleasantly surprised at the peaceful location and beautiful hotel. All the rooms had a beach view and was spacious for a luxurious stay. The price was great for what we got. Although the Ibus Hotel does not serve food (yet), the nearby Italian restaurant delivered to our room or wherever we were on the property. The staff arranged snorkeling and a trip to The Gate of Heaven for us at a really good price. Amed is definitely a hidden gem, with a lot less traffic and some great restaurants. Loved every second of our stay and will next time book for longer.

Absolutely stunning, brand new accommodation. Everything one could need for a peaceful and comfortable stay with amazing views and the most beautiful private pool. A cook will come to your kitchen and provide whatever meals you’d like to order from their extensive menu, you can visit the trattoria across the road for delicious Italian dishes or nearby restaurants are happy to deliver. The kitchen has a gas stove top, kettle, toaster and blender and is well stocked. They provide beer and soft drinks in the full sized fridge at extra cost, but a lovely convenience. It’s within walking distance of the best snorkeling spots in Amed in my opinion with the beach opposite being sandy instead of rocks. The staff are all friendly and more than helpful, accommodating any request or issue. They also organised a scooter to hire for my 5 night stay.

Had a great stay! The studio's are wonderful: beautifully decorated, brand new, super clean and with a beautiful view overlooking the ocean. The owners and staff were super friendly and helpful! Owners gave great tips for cafes, restaurants and snorkeling. Really good vibes in general, highly recommend!!

Great little spot up in the jungle - walking distance to town (30 min) but very serene and peaceful. The place was spotless and very comfortable, and a gorgeous little oasis. The water pressure and temperature of the shower was great and the kitchen was immaculate.

Salt Resort & Spa was a wonderful place to stay during our time in Ahmed. The room was beautiful and spacious and the AC worked great. The beds were very comfortable. The hotel restaurant had great variety and delicious food. The breakfast was delicious. The hotel spa has great spa packages and discounts during specific hours of the day. I recommend Salt Resort & Spa to anyone staying in Ahmed.

The Abing Villas is a wonderful boutique hotel in Amed.

The Abing Villas is a wonderful boutique hotel in Amed. The villa we stayed in was tastefully decorated and had an amazing infinity pool with a wonderful view of the ocean. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food was incredible and a highlight of our stay. We would highly recommend the Abing Villas if you plan to visit Amed.

We went in the low season.

We went in the low season. Though it rained a few times, we loved the peacefulness of the area. Perfect for snorkeling and relaxing. I visited Ubud and Uluwatu at the end of my trip and was blown away by how busy it was, (particularly Ubud). I wish I had stayed in Amed longer, but we wanted to be closer to the airport.

Amed is low key and a bit ramshackle.

Amed is low key and a bit ramshackle. I liked it for those reasons. Background of dramatic mountains. Vibe is completely different to other parts of Bali. It’s not a party location and there is no glossy posse.

Amed is such a peaceful location perfect for people wanting to enjoy scuba, snorkeling, massage, nice food and beautiful scenery. It was very affordable, and you could do as little or as much as you wanted in terms of activities.

Amed is essentailly frequented by the diving community due to the many outstanding dive locations in the immediate vicinity, and there are numerous restaurants (Warungs) which are very reasonably priced. Easy to explore the local area by hiring a scooter.

Loved Amed but was only there for 2 nights, would definately...

Loved Amed but was only there for 2 nights, would definately go back for longer. Beautiful people and amazing local food. Great spot if you dont want the hussle and bussle of Kuta/Seminyak or Legian. The black beach was gorgeous and the sunsets were amazing, Great place for divers/snorkelling and fishing.

We had a pleasant stay but we did find the hotel and facilities more basic than we expected however we also acknowledge this can be a trade off to experiencing a more authentic part of Bali which we loved. The hotel is a little more tired than the photos suggest, we picked it for the additional children’s beds but this space was damp. Staff were able to advise on the best places to snorkel and recommend equipment hire, this was a highlight of our stay.

The view from the room (we had the suite at ground floor, with the view to the sea), the big size of the room, the friendly staff, the pool and children pool (our children 4 and 1.5 years old loved the small pool, as they could play there very nicely), the view from the pool and the restaurant. My wife said it was the best hotel we have stayed at on Bali.

Amed Stop Inn is a lovely family run hostel. It's on the main road, not far from a beautiful beach, and backs on rice fields with iconic views. The hosts are really welcoming and helpful. I wished we could have stayed more than one night. It's on my list to come back next time in Bali

My knew favourite place in Bali .Snorkelling with turtles right off the beach outfront .The restaurant is exceptional as well as the staff.The rooms are clean and in excellent condition for a oldish hotel. The hotel grounds and pool area are amazing. I will definitely be back.
