The hotel is beautifully designed and in a beautiful area very close to some picturesque beaches. The staff are very friendly and attentive and make it easy to organise trips and activities so you can experience Sumba. Surf lessons are a lot of fun and the village tour and waterfall tour are both great. Cocktails were really good, as was the food at breakfast. The hotel seems to have a good relationship with the local people and seems to have genuinely benefitted Sumba.

But this is not the stay; the stay is Agung and his team. From the moment you arrive you're treated more like family than guest. Julia, the owner, and her team are extraordinary, so charming, their smiles, kindness, and warmth made our stay unforgettable.
