We were the first ever guests to Fam Wall Homestay and we are grateful and happy we trusted our guts and stayed here. The family is lovely, pricing of the homestay is far below comparable offerings in the area, you'll get 4 meals a day, trips to Piaynemo, Rufas and the famous snorkel spots are also fairly priced and the house reef feels like a maze of wonders and life itself already. Please be aware of the tides, they bring plastic sometimes, and the family tries to clean the oceans. Support them!

The property was a very nice base for further travel to other islands. Right at the doorstep you had the possibility to snorkel (we saw turtles, starfish, blacktip sharks, stingrays and dolphins and on one occasion a sea snake.). Donald and the team were very welcoming and accommodating. Shoutout to Frengki and Rido for all of our day trips and the sunset ukulele on the way back after a wavy day. The food was rather simple but delicious, especially all of the fresh fish and Tempe. Be prepared to live as one with nature… The property was very clean and well maintained.

Facing the seafront in Waisai, Coco Huts Guest House has a private beach area. Boasting a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace.

The Place is fantastic. A bit off the beaten Track. Rio and her husband manage the place very well - lovely Family. Great food. Sweet Kids :) The food was amazing, the house reef is great as well. Nice excursions with Vence to Wayag or nearby manta point and smaller islands also aroud with spectactular reefs and coral gardens. Pianemo also close. The trip to Wayag is close(r) to do from here, so you might have enough time to enjoy Wayag. The homestay has shared bathroom which is spotlessly clean, the traditional bungalows overlook the sea with fantastic sunsets. A well recoomended place to spend more then 2 or 3 nights.

JouSuba Homestay is amazing. It is a small island with only homestays on it and so remains relatively untouched for the region. The huts are on a lovely little beach with white sand extending into the sea. They are relatively simple and built with the same indigenous local style as you find in the region. However the mattress is very very comfortable which makes for a great night's sleep. The owner Ferdinand is the local service industry expert and his family own the island and the land. They are making improvements all the time and when I went in Dec24 they had just introduced starlink for amazing internet. Ferdinand was always gracious and kind and extremely helpful when planning trips, excursions and things to do. He has visions for a bright future and is therefore one of the more business savvy owners and extremely responsive to guests needs and wishes. As soon as I booked a room he reached out via WhatsApp which felt very safe and welcoming. Other Honestays can be much more laid back and if you are on a schedule it can make you feel quite anxious. His wife was an amazing cook as she has previously worked in the restaurants of some big hotels. I was fortunate enough that his kids were on holiday and were available to explore and play around with. Such a delightful warm family. Highly recommended

I really enjoyed my 5 days here. I was the only guest, so I had the whole beach (several kilometres long) to myself, which was fantastic. And at night all I could hear was the soothing sound of the ocean waves. The beach is just a few seconds away from the bungalow. Because it is by the sea, the waves are quite big and the breeze is a blessing in this otherwise quite hot place. And because the beach faces west, I saw the best sunsets in Raja Amapat. As for the accommodation, it is basic, but I had everything I needed. The food was delicious. The family helped me with everything. The father took me wherever I wanted to go and even gave me some tips, which turned out to be the best snorkelling I had in the area (Napoleon Reef and Fam Wall). He even climbed a palm tree to get me a fresh coconut. So I am really happy about everything and I recommend you to visit Or Mandira too.

Beautiful homestay at a unique spot (incredible sunsets) with a very caring family and two cute kids! Good and plenty food and clean. Amazing location for snorkeling directly in front. Watch sharks and squid hunting from the jetty or see the huge coconut crabs. The friendly owner is also a skilled boatsman and brought us safely through very rough seas. Communication works fine even with just a few words of english (by help of google translate and gestures). Good base for Pyainemo, Fam Wall and Rufas island (+Mellis Garden). Thanks for having us!!!

Everything was outstanding and make sure you do the mantas tour with Mr.lucky i was able to swim with 6 big ones all alone amazing and with 4 in another spot truly one memorable thing I've done. The trip to playnemo was another high light from Mr.lucky. The homestay is so comfortable and clean and peaceful. Food really good and plenty. Good reef out front. Great Wi-Fi from 6pm too 8am. So don't hesitate to book this homestay Mr.lucky will take great care of you.

The homestay owner, Arlan, and his wife, Grace, are so cheerful and welcoming! It was such a pleasure talking with them! They had a wonderful house on the water, with amazing views and sleeping to the sound of the waves! What could be better? They also gave me a wonderful manta ray trip!
