This was a wonderful room with a luxurious view. We loved the breakfast, especially the scones, fresh berries, and cheese platter. The closest pub/dinner was a short walk away. We were met with such kindness and helpfulness - would love to go back.

Very pretty countryside, Doolin is quite spread out but if...

Very pretty countryside, Doolin is quite spread out but if you're happy to walk there seem to be plenty of nice cafes, restaurants and knitwear / gift shops. We ate twice at the Ivy Leaf restaurant, exceptional food. I didn't make it to the ferry and an island this time as the weather was stormy. Next time!

O'Connor's bar was delightful.

O'Connor's bar was delightful. Local musicians played through the early evening. The bar tenders were entertaining, "How are 'tings with you?" Easy walking though town and pier for trips to the islands easy to get to. Close to beautiful Cliffs of Moher.

Adorable little town with lots of tourist shops.

Adorable little town with lots of tourist shops. A very nice Irish Craft Store with separate parking (parking is at a premium in this tiny 1 street "town"). Highly recommend the Cliff walk that starts in Doolin. It was so much more enjoyable than the zoo at the Cliffs at Moher. Music scene was good, but not as good as Dingle or Galway.

Overall Doolin is a great town to visit.

Overall Doolin is a great town to visit. Be careful eating at O'Connor's, we both got sick from the Seafood Chowder. The Cliffs of Moher are not what they were, to restricted to see. The Cliffs of Kerry, Mizen Head, Kilkee Cliffs and even Dub Briste Sea Stack is better.

We arrived later in the afternoon after visiting the Cliffs...

We arrived later in the afternoon after visiting the Cliffs of Moher and didn't have time to check out the couple shops near the pier. Did the seaweed baths at the pier and it was a very memorable experience. Watched others swim in the ocean while we enjoyed the warm sea water in our baths. Finding a spot to have dinner without reservations when its raining proved to be difficult. We tried three spots before McGann's found a spot for us. Turned out to be the perfect meal while listening to traditional music! If the weather was nicer, we would have loved to check out the pitch and putt course that's nearby.

Really enjoyed our visit to Doolin ,we got to share abit of...

Really enjoyed our visit to Doolin ,we got to share abit of Ireland with my Niece from the USA and make some more family memories. Even though our second day we were unable to get to see the Cliff of Moher due to weather we changed and went to the Doolin Caves which was very enjoyable and did a drive around some other parts of the surrounding area. Then on our second day we were up early and got to do the Cliffs, Irish weather is never a given but we made the best and still got to do the things we had planned and more on our visit.

We had a great time at the Coatl View House. Martin is a very kind host. The apartment was perfect – it had everything we needed. In the morning, we enjoyed a beautiful view with sheep and a pony grazing in the fields in front of the house. Martin also recommended a wonderful place for dinner with live music. I’ve visited several cities in Ireland, and I believe the Doolin and the place we stayed were the most authentic and comfortable. If I have the chance to visit Ireland again, I will definitely stay there.

This is a great property - one of the best that we have stayed during our travels in Ireland. The location in Doolin is handy to pubs and dinner. Our room was a generous size with everything that you need and all spotlessly clean . The continental breakfast is a plus and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
