The Artist Residence Dublin B&B is a detached 1920s cottage with large gardens overlooking Dublin Bay and Howth peninsula. It is 15 minutes by car or train from Dublin City Centre and Dublin Airport. My husband and I spent two nights at The Artists Residence and we were delighted with our choice. We felt comfortable and at home immediately. Begonia and David were excellent hosts. We had to decline the offer of tea and cake on arrival as we had to meet someone within a short period of time. Our room was beautifully laid out and so welcoming. The bed was amazingly comfortable. We were hoping for a well earned rest and we got that in spades. The food was five star and the attention was second to none.We loved that our hosts have chickens and serve their own eggs for breakfast. We are cat lovers and we fell in love with their beautiful Persian puss Nadal. We highly recommend this property

Howth is magnificent. It has everything, beaches wonderful cliff walks, fishing harbour, great choice of pubs and restaurants and super friendly locals. We went hiking with Shane's Howth Hikes which was the highlight.
Picturesque coastal village near Dublin with it's own history and local population. Good commuter train link with city. Excellent walks and really enjoyed cliff walk. Good signage. Loads of restaurants, Probably a bit touristy in the summer but it was great off season. Traditional music in McNeils where we stayed, relaxing break.
We visited Howth as our last stop before catching an early ferry the next day, but I'm glad we did! We arrived early enough to be able to explore the harbour and the fisheries, though not to walk the cliff path - there's always a next time! Food is spectacular here, and plenty of choice too!
We walked down by King Sitric. A lot of fun places to check out--little shops, etc. So many people walking, biking and walking along the sea. I wish we would have had more time to take a sailing trip or go out in a kayak. The sailboats were beautiful.
Excellent location if you enjoy the great outdoors with lovely cliff walks and harbor. Howth also hosts a very nice golf course in Deerpark. Excellent location for restaurants (Abbey tavern and O'Connells) and ideally located if you want to hop into Dublin City Centre on the DART light rail. I definitely recommend and will go back
Beautiful area with spectacular views from the headline. Direct quick transport links into Dublin City by both the Dart train and by bus. Why would anyone want to stay in Dublin City when you can stay at the coast with easy access into the city? Superb restaurants and cafes.
