We loved Wexford! Easy to walk around and we enjoyed the waterfront. A Stable Diet is a great place place for breakfast. We ate there four times! We had excellent dinners every night but our favorite was Santorinis. The lamb shank, sea bass and mussels were all wonderful! The local people we met at Bugler Doyles were so friendly and helpful.

Wexford is a lovely seaside town, it has a busy Main Street and appears to have many shops - although we were there on a Sunday and many were closed.
We ate at a lovely the Lotus Restaurant and it was delicious and well priced. Just wish I could have stayed longer.

A lot going on for a small town.
A lot going on for a small town.
As a base for touring worth more than a week. If restricted to the town then 3 or 4 days would be enough.
However, there was a disappointing lack of information about the history in the hard to find tourist information centre. (located near library in arts hub)
within 20 minutes by car:-
Enniscorthy castle well worth the visit, Rebellion centre less so,
Fantastic expanse of beach at Curracloe beach and South to Raven nature reserve.

We went to the Wexford Wildfowl Reserve a few miles from Wexford town which was great. The best time to visit the Reserve however is the autumn and winter when the over-wintering wildfowl are present, e.g. the Greenland White-fronted Geese,

The town does not have much to offer.
The town does not have much to offer. We eat at La Cote ( expensive and averade ) Green Acres ( very good) and travelled north and south of the twon. The beaches at Ballineska and Booley Bay were interesting but Tintern Abbey was one of the most enthrauling places we have ever visited- a must.if in the area.

We walked the length of the Quays looking @ the sea & back up through the town. Very easy to get around! Many coffee shops & pubs on the way.
Will definitely be back very soon!
Well done Wexford!
lovely staff, comfortable bed, clean, great food and great location. As returning guests this is our go too place to stay in Wexford. our only one issue and our friends felt the same, is that you have to pre book a breakfast time, which is ok if you can get the time slot you want! we all really felt you should be able to get up and go for breakfast when you wake up, it’s just too controlling and no other hotel we stayed in makes you pre book a time. everything else is great, and it would not stop us staying again.
Beautiful country house hotel with friendly hosts and an abundant, delicious breakfast. thoughtful touches like tea and coffee and biscuits available all day. We travel with our dog and had a separate breakfast area which meant total relaxation. A short stroll down the hill takes you to the Wexford Walking Trail, which provides off lead possibilities for any holidaying Fido!
Its very easy to say great things about a Hotel when in fact its not true. But thankfully i can say Whitford Hotel is the best in ireland. From staff to food, rooms and swimming saunas etc it gets a 10 every time we stay..Try it and you
Will say the same..
Hotel is not modern but has everything you need to stay there. Over wexford Bridge so quick walk to town centre if you don't want to drive. Food was very good, staff were very helpful. Bottle of water offered on checking out nice touch.
