We chose Ashdod because it was a short driving distance to...

We chose Ashdod because it was a short driving distance to the farm where we had volunteered to work. We liked the area where we stayed. Lots of markets and retail places. It was within a short distance from the beach as well. Not much activities per se. An art museum, cultural museum pertaining to the history of Ashdod and a couple of scenic views ( Givat Yonah). Our favorite eating place was on the beach called Petra - great shashukah. We had a car and getting around with the help of google maps was relatively easy. Otherwise, it could be a bit confusing with the many round abouts and complicated street grid. Our favorite spot was the beach and just walking around. A big Russian community there.

My family enjoyed the Philistine Museum.

My family enjoyed the Philistine Museum. It's not large, but we enjoyed it. On the lower level, you can dress up like Philistines. Our kids (young and old) enjoyed sword fighting with the fake swords. And we took a family picture of the whole family dressed as Philistines.

There was ONE RIGHTEOUS person in this Sodom; a customer...

There was ONE RIGHTEOUS person in this Sodom; a customer relations lady, who tried her best to help and assist, and I appreciated her very much. The rest: LOUD. No answer at front desk. Messy hallway. Pool too small for such a size of a hotel, hence too crowded and noisy; and not enough shade. Bar/lobby restaurant not good. Lazy and useless employees - the ones that I encountered. Loud late at night and very early morning. Food was mediocre at best, and not much of a variety; one “chef” in the evening was standing at his station frowning and reluctantly answering questions; but he was texting on his phone. Cost was too high for this kind of experience. For the time being, not really recommending.

We stayed at Leonardo Plaza Ashdod for two nights to celebrate my birthday. It was a pleasant experience: if you want to get classic European service - this is the place for you. In fact, the service is very good, the rooms are spacious, well-equipped (from slippers to a coffee machine), very comfortable bed, high-quality cleaning, wonderful view from the window, rich breakfast. We are very satisfied with our stay at the hotel and will definitely come back again. Thank you to the entire hotel team - you are incredible!

The clerk at the reception was very nice. The location is really close to the beach (not all rooms have a view of the beach) The place is right next to the mouth of Nahal Lakish and it is an excellent place for a trip. I must point out that I had a very good deal, so my return was worth it The accommodation has another name called Spat Ashdod, which is also there to see reviews

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Sur La Mer in Ashdod. It exceeded our expectations—great value for money, very friendly and welcoming staff, and an exceptionally comfortable bed. The wonderful Ashdod beach was just in front of the hotel. Parking always available. I would definitely stay here again

Everything was great! Ashdod is a wonderful city, we enjoyed our stay and will return again for sure. The apartment is close to the playgrounds, park, public beach and a few good restaurants.
