To be fair, we visited on our way to Dudhwa, so the focus was elsewhere! The food, it's a foodie city. Right from chai and samosas at Sharma's to the amazing meals at Tunday Kababi and Azrak (Do not miss that!!!). And the chicken. Go to Janpath, do not waste time on roadsides selling cheap and fake stuff. DO NOT buy synthetic material!

Metro service is available right at your Airport and you can reach to main city with most economical and fast clean service. and also can avoid traffic jams. Every Indian must visit this city between Nov. to March.

Lucknow lacks cleanliness. Traffic lacks discipline & is chaotic. Yet, it makes up for these by offering lovely food. One big highlight of Lucknow is its street food. For sight seeing, don't miss the Residency /1857 Museum. Gomati Riverfront Park is also worth spending an evening there. Can skip the Imambaras if short on time. The Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya is just two & a half hours from Lucknow. It is worth visiting. Can do it as a day trip from Lucknow.

Limited sight-seeing but experiencing the city is worth a visit. Food is amazing - kebabs for non-vegetarians and chaat for vegetarians. Great shopping experience. Culturally active with plays, ghazals etc taking place live, keep an eye on www.bookmyshow.com for Lucknow during visit dates. Walking around the city for glimpses of living history such as Nawab's buildings still being used as railway station, government offices, colleges etc. Women may feel uncomfortable wearing sleeveless or shorts/short skirts

Lucknow being one of the oldest City having rich heritage, culture and delecious food is worth exploring. The traditional cloth market at Hazratganj and Ameenabad is worth exploring. The food joints are simply amazing. This is a mixture of old traditional city with modern facilities. Gomti Nagar has vide roads, good cafe's and restaurant to be explored.

Lucknow has a wealth of nawab and colonial history and the best way to explore the city is on foot. Unfortunately, like most cities in India, Lucknow is not geared to favour pedestrians. However, once we got used to walking on the road and crossing busy streets (footpaths were non-existent or full of parked cars, and no one respects designated cross walks) we enjoyed walking around the old bazaars, ruins of imambaras and the Residency. Some days we walked as much as 20 kms! The street food was amazing!!

The place has more historical monuments and history. The current ruling government good. One should bargain lot in auto and others. Dont believe in ola. Rabido good. I booked ola but the driver has changed the route and made unnecessary problem and grabbed more money. I dont know how can they control ola app which is surprising. My booking history was charged location was changed!!!!. But at last they given 100rs voucher but not accepted complaint against driver. From Airport please take metro train which is best. One should be very careful while shopping be a because of cheating seeing face or language. Ambethkar garden was excellent, river front garden good. Imambara good. Up garden with different monument having boating facilities was good. I can recommend one genuine EAuto person with me for roaming may help others. I gave rs 500 for one day roaming Mr Siva mobile no. 8707205379

the food was excellent. we had a car to our disposal so getting around was not a problem. the lucknowi chikan work is wonderful. the sweets are not too good compared to delhi, kolkatta and jaipur. must visit the Residency and the art gallery. also don't miss the sound and light show at the residency.

A clean city compared to many other Indian cities I have visited. The heritage of the city is not maintained and needed and is not accessible conveniently. Traffic management at the airport especially the pick-up and drop-off can be improved many times over. People are helpful and friendly. Cleanliness and presentations inside local restaurants needs to be improved through education.

Lucknow is an old time city. While the malls are what impress aspirational Indians, many also love its history. It has an old part, which houses the old Lucknowi buildings of the nawabs and the British. The Bara Imambara is amazing. Watching a live kathak dance is a treat and visiting the Rumi Darwaza and Gomti river front are all top things to do. Another good thing is to go to Aminabad and go into its markets and alleyways to get a sense of Lucknow under the nawabs. Lucknow has its own etiquettes, dance and music and Lucknowi food is known so do some research and don’t be put off by the noise, chaos and dust.
