Special place for us. Feels like in end of world near the water. Very clean, fully equipped shared kitchen with even dishwasher. There is Laundry machine. Very clean and quiet place. We could ease our minds for few hours. Good experience. Even though it was our only shared bathroom/toilet in our vacation, it did not bother us since it was always free when needed. Price of room was good.

Rooms are clean, big, and very warm. We could use the punlic area to clean our cups and cook a little, so this is a plus. We weren’t prepared with a lot of food, but we saw many clients cooking and it was great because we spent some time socializing

It was a true guesthouse with the spectacular views of the countryside. It is a little bit off the main road but I honestly think it gives great a feel for the guesthouses. The hostess was very friendly and kind.

In Midfjordur, midway between Reykjavik and Akureyri, is Hótel Laugarbakki. Stay close to one of Iceland’s best salmon rivers and the natural hot springs, which heat up the entire community.

Property was beautiful with horses all over. The guesthouse was beautifully decorated with a main area for socialization and a sunroom for breakfast. Breakfast was amazing, particularly with the fresh croissants. They offered a bar service in the guesthouse.
