Didn’t really use Altopascio itself much except for the train station but it is a brilliant jump off spot for trains to Florence, Lucca and the coast and the country location of the property among vineyards was relaxing and magical!

The great thing about Altopascio is that it is close enough...
The great thing about Altopascio is that it is close enough to be able to do many day trips. Within an hour from Altopascio you can get to Cinque Terre (La Spezia specifically), you can go to Pisa, Florence and even San Gimignano, a beautiful borgo town

This accommodation is perfectly located at the entrance of the Altopascio variant route. You can really tell the host put a lot of thought into making sure guests have a comfortable stay. Everything was neat and flawless. Mr. Samuel was incredibly kind and thoughtful. It’s a truly wonderful place for pilgrims, and I highly recommend it!

This lovely little hotel is right on the Via Francigena, only a few minutes walk into the town centre.
It is welcoming, clean and comfortable. We slept very well and breakfast was great.
We’d happily stay again and recommend it to others.
