The castle is beautiful, our room and bathroom were spacious and nicely arranged, though the room could have a bit more light. The pool is wonderful, as are the gardens around the castle. Inside the castle and around the property there are plenty of cosy spots to relax. Castello di Buttrio is truly a luxurious accommodation in a beautiful setting, with friendly and attentive staff. The breakfast was very good, the wine from their vineyards excellent, and we also had a wonderful dinner at a castle restaurant.

Amazing view from the room. Sitting on the hill outside of the house feels like you are watching the landscape from an airplane. Clean and tidy house with a coffee machine on the floor that can be used free of charge. The host gentleman brought us a cup of coffee to our room upon arrival - really caring :) The room and the bathroom are really big. We were afraid that the breakfast will only be some croissant or only sweets (like in a typical Italian household), but the variety was wider fortunately with egg, ham, cheese...etc. We have tasted here one of the best bread we have ever eaten, it was delicious! This place is outside of the village of Buttrio, therefore it is quiet and calm, no shops or restaurants nearby, but this was just the reason for us to choose this. Udine is cca 25' away by car. This place is highly recommended if you wish to have a relaxing holiday!

The eastern hills of Friuli would be an apt translation for Friuli Colli Orientali, a famed Italian wine region. Indeed, these are impressive wine hills. The exceptional flysch geology renders Friuli Colli Oriental one of the preeminent wine regions in Italy. Buttrio is considered the symbolic heart of this southern region, where the breezy, mild effects of the Adriatic create an exceptional microclimate ideal for winemaking. Buttrio is otherwise famed as the headquarters of the global corporation Danieli Group, a global leader in providing equipment for the metallurgical industry. The hundred-year-old company, situated across from the hotel, is responsible for the project. Although the hotel’s location may not be spectacular per se, a stone’s throw away from the humming motorway to Udine, the architects used the space elegantly, turning a potential weakness into a competitive advantage. Once you set foot in the hotel, you will find yourself in a parallel world that pays homage to the area’s rich history. By the end of your stay, you will be positively impressed by the location. It is ideal for exploring the region’s secrets, as everything is within arm’s reach. Even though we thought the company’s vicinity was the reason behind the choice at first, we realised the architects had made a clever decision.

Queit small village not far from vibrant center of Udine with huge amount of bars etc. Buttrio offer luxoury accomodation at places,I know. Hotel del Parco n 1citi bling their sister restaurant is real GEM go there and you feel like at gourment paradise. Agroturismo Vagabondo n 2 , rural charm at season you feel,the power of milions lavender flowers,at there,they sale the lavender products too. Very nice gourment food,mix with state of art Italian service and hospitality. The views from windows, for snowy peaks of Dolomits mix with Italian blue sky. Buttrio is part of famous Friuli region , where you can find hundreds of winey yards with solution for each taste and budget , plus hand made salumi a formaggi and you are at culinary haven.

It is an absolutely beautiful place. The room was very comfortable, and the property was lovely. The breakfast was very good. The staff were friendly and helpful. Buttrio is a VERY sleepy place but there are a couple of great restaurants. Check out the Enoteca and the Trattoria Al Parco. The only issue is that you have to walk to town. No taxi service.

Great place to stay when in transit or visiting nearby area. Modern, clean and spacious rooms. Free parking in front of the hotel. Very attentive and nice staff. Breakfast is nice and tasty with a lot of cake options and multiple choices from a la cart menu.

I do love it! Wonderful hotel! Very clean everywhere, white towels, tasty breakfast with great coffee. Very quiet place. Maria-Angela is a very hospitable and friendly host. We are very pleased with this accommodation and dream of returning again.

Beautiful old farmhouse in the middle of wines. Very comfortable room and good breakfast. It is connected to the hotel Buttrio Castle were we had an excellent dinner in the garden. Highly recommended.
