Set in its own garden in the center of Champorcher, Albergo Castello offers mountain-view rooms with a balcony, 0.6 mi from the Chardonney ski area. Wonderful welcome by the owner who runs a lovely hotel with high standards of service. Lovely comfortable en-suite room with kitchenette and beautiful view over the old village and valley. Tasty food from a daily dinner menu. I would like to return to this hotel, perhaps in the ski season.
Located in Champorcher, B&B Le Temps d'une Pause provides accommodations with a garden, free WiFi, a shared kitchen, and an ATM. The property features river views and is 23 miles from Alagna Valsesia.... Very welcoming owner. Comfortable and clean. Perfect start to our walk.
Located in Pontboset, 29 miles from Champoluc, B&B La Borma di Pombo has a terrace and free WiFi. The accommodations have a spa bath. Lovely view, in the middle of the mountains, fresh mountain air. It's great if you look for a more remote quiet place in nature. Also the owner Flaviano is very friendly. He also taught me a bit of Italian.
Featuring free WiFi and a restaurant, Le Moulin Des Aravis offers pet-friendly accommodations in Pontboset, 6.8 mi from Forte di Bard and 35 mi from Aosta. Rooms are fitted with a private bathroom. Everything was perfect. The host was really kind. The perfect location if you want to get away from the daily routine being relaxed

Champorcher is a secluded stone village in a beautiful valley high in the mountains. There are amazing walks in the nature, good restaurants and a great little supermarket with everything you will need (ie wine, cheese, etc!!) Really peaceful - we had a wonderful stay.
The people are lovely, however the town is a little too quiet, the skiing is not expensive but it is very small, better to go to champoluc or a larger resort if you just want to ski. Perhaps if you just want mountain walks, champorcher is nice, but the village is just a little too quiet.
Champorcher/Chardonney is a small alpine village with great charm. Ideal in the summer for walking and the winter for skiing. Though in truth if your ideal ski resort is 200km of connected pistes, then this isn't for you. The 16km ski area is perfect for beginners with a couple of short blue runs, plenty of wide reds and 3 blacks. In fact, for the experienced skier wanting a short break it would also be ideal as the journey time from Turin or Milan is well under 2 hours. Sport Laris is the only ski rental shop in the village, it is well stocked with the latest Head equipment and staff are friendly. The only restaurant in Chardonney is closed Monday/Tuesday, but food is excellent.
Location was amazing, at the very end of a wonderful valley right next to an amazing waterfall - such a beautiful place in nature.
