The breakfast was amazing and you could actually order extra dishes (crepes or even more complicated ones) from a menu for no additional charges. We were also offered a bottle of champagne upon arrival and used the Hotel SPA (with an extra cost) which was reserved only for us for one hour

Our room was a real gem, seems very newly renovated, all in wood, super comfortable double bed with both a high and a lower huge pillow. All super clean and well thought. The owner is super friendly and kind and funny, we had good conversations about everything while she served us a tasty breakfast. It is close to Aosta but you have to take the car.. but parking in town is not expensive. We loved the atmosphere and certainly coming back to eat the grapes and figs on our way to the room 😊

Picturesque alpine hamlet with plenty of trails into the...

Picturesque alpine hamlet with plenty of trails into the mountains for all abilities. It is clearly popular with people walking the Via Francigena as well as bikers and drivers. It works as a longer stopover only if you are into walking and exploring the area. A day stopover was enough for us as it is only a small place, albeit, pretty.

Keep in mind that you'll be at a certain high in the mountains that means weather can change quite fast, bring jackets and Sweet shirts .... the walks by the river were very pleasant, bring your fishing rod the torrent looks fishy .

Our stay at Hotel Col Serena was excellent! The hotel is very cute right in the mountains with beautiful views. The room was nice and comfortable. But the added bonus are for sure the owners. Incredibly welcoming and kind. We were stuck in traffic all day and arrived very late in the evening instead of the afternoon. They arranged for us to find in our room a lovely dinner and had set everything up so we could enjoy it comfortably. We were incredibly grateful. Grazie ancora!!!!

The breakfast was excellent and the staff were also helpful. Good location with ease of parking and close to trails and Etroubles centre. It's just off the main road so easy to find. It has a bar and a restaurant. It's a bonus having rooms with balconies looking across the valley. The hotel is not part of a chain so it has its own individual local charm which some people might like or not. We liked its proper local alpine character and we would stay again.

The hotel is conveniently located within easy reach of the main tourist attractions. The spa is beautifully designed and very well maintained. Breakfast is plentiful and of excellent quality. The staff are exceptionally kind and attentive.
