Good price and a pleasant stay. The place is about 30 minutes from the central station by bus. The neighborhood is quiet and has a good view of the city. The room had a private bathroom, a comfortable bed, a desk, and a closet. The rooftop is good for relaxing and eating the breakfast.
Featuring an outdoor swimming pool and garden with children's playground, Agriturismo IL VIAIO is located 5 mi from Florence's center. The property produces olive oil, honey and vegetables.

Quiet, clean, friendly. Other reviews mentioned construction on property. It looks like they are renovating a building to accommodate more guests. Based on how they did these rooms it will be very nice and charming.

We received a very warm, welcoming and homey stay! Amazing! Got so many good suggestions and help. Could also lend family bicycles, which made the journey to Florence very nice and easy. Breakfast according to your wishes and preferences, delicious!
Very quiet neighborhood. Nice to walk by the river.

An Oasis in the Middle of Florence Hills!
There couldn’t be a better place to start our vacation from.
This little gem in Fiesole, one of the elite areas outside the chaotic and touristic City of Florence, was for us literally an oasis.
We had just landed in Rome after a 24 hour long flight departed from Sydney, Australia and we were driving north. Temperature was hellish and highway congested.
We soon realized that we were in no condition to continue our trip without a stop. It was a very last minute booking and we were lucky we found a room available.
Although we only had given Gennaro and Marianna, the owners, 2 hours notice of our arrival, they both immediately did everything possible to make our stay as comfortable as possible.
Once arrived at the location, we were fascinated by this 15th century building and its surroundings. It was immersed in the nature, so silent, so quiet, we almost felt we did not want to break that magic.
Inside, the building, the rooms, the breakfast hall were in rustic style furnished and decorated in line with the building. This little oasis only has 4 rooms, which keeps the chaos from checking in and out away.
Our room, a double one, with ensuite bathroom was clean and tidy, with a balcony overlooking the super view of the surrounding nature.
Breakfast was perfect and abundant. You would not get anything near that with 20Euros in any nearby bar in Fiesole.
Gennaro and Marianna are a young couple that truly love what they do. You can feel how passionate they are about their job. We could see and feel how all that passion was turned into high quality service.
Moreover, the location is only 10mins drive from Florence city centre, has a free parking included which made us save roughly 40euro per night.
We felt home, and definitely will stay again at “Florence Country Relais”.

On average, it costs $201 per night to book a 3-star hotel in Fiesole for tonight. You'll pay around $399 if you choose to stay in a 4-star hotel tonight, while a 5-star hotel in Fiesole will cost around $1,838, on average (based on Booking.com prices).
The countryside of Fiesole is beautiful. Hotel and needs updating. Some damp on walls in bedroom, a/c has to be climatized by reception and is on a timer. Windows in bedroom too high to get so unable to open them. We had to sleep with our main bedroom door open one night as it was hot and stuffy. Pool area was lovely, despite no bar anywhere nearby you have to walk up to main building to get drinks or snacks which have to be paid then. Basically no tab!! Only positive thing was the fish restaurant up the road, highly recommend this it was a fantastic meal!! We booked this hotel as a pit stop as we were heading down south from Croatia. Didn’t realise it was a 2* and definitely not 2* prices. Way overpriced if so. Expected something much better for the proscenium we paid.

Fiesole is a picturesque town within the hills of Tuscany, it has excellent transport links to the city of Florence, and hiking routes for those that love walking. There are good restaurants, although we found getting a taxi back to our hotel in the evening sometimes a problem. Despite restaurant staff trying to call for us. The view point with views over Florence is spectacular.

The purpose our visit to Fiesole was to celebrate our friend's birthday whom we had not seen for years. We had never heard of Fiesole, but they were staying there for a 3 week holiday (from Canada) and so we joined them with zero expectations. Fiesole was absolutely lovely, and frankly two days was not enough. We ate very well at local restaurants and visited the lovely Franciscan monastery on top of the hill, which is well worth a look. An incredible museum with Chinese coins dating back to the 100AC (!) and an Egyptian mummified kitten amongst other extremely old antiquities! Was not expecting that LOL!
View of Florence is spectacular from Fiesole, and to think you are in a small little quiet 'village' just 20 mins drive away.

Nestled in the hills just a stone's throw away from Florence, Fiesole is a quaint Italian town that may not boast an extensive list of attractions, but it captivates visitors with its serene ambiance and unparalleled vistas of the Tuscan capital. If you're in search of a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of Florence, Fiesole is the perfect destination.

We did not see much of Fiesole because our stay was short and we were focused on Florence but we would really like to have visited the Roman ruins of Fiesole. The part of town that we stayed in has a nice piazza with a restaurant, an ice-cream parlor and a really yummy food truck. It is really well connected to Florence (a cheap bus takes you to the city in 20 min. and it comes every 15 so it is really convenient). The restaurant has a gorgeous view of the whole valley with Florence in the middle. We also saw the post office and a grocery store around there. It is really a pleasant town with a lot to offer.

Quaint little town on the hill above Florence, easily accesable by bus from the centre of Florence. There are few restaurants and cafe's in the centre and also a historic centre with Roman ruins and a museum. We had 3 nights tehre, but could have easily stayd more, as the vibe of the small time is great and if you get bored you can easily go to Florence and back.
Pensione Bencista is a wonderful place to stay with absolutely magnificent views of Florence from many windows, and from the terrace restaurant. The gourmet food at the restaurant was superb and the staff attentive. Letitzia the manager who welcomed us was a delight, and very helpful with arranging a medical referral as well ( much appreciated!), and bus tickets too! It is a very special place and we highly recommend it and won’t hesitate to stay again!! Laura also is a wonderful host and you feel like a personal guest in her home!
Location is an easy 5 minutes walk from Fiesole's centre.
Roberto greeted us upon arrival, and although the water wasn't working when we arrived, it was fixed by the time we came back after dinner. Fortunately an English speaking neighbour could explain the situation to us!
The apartment itself is very charming and full of personality. The aircon was quick to keep us cool and there's a splendid view over Florence just outside.
We stayed in the apartment at the top of the building and it was big with wonderful views. It also had everything you could want including a dishwasher and washing machine. The private bathroom was adorable. Just a short walk to a really nice cafe, supermarket and bus stop for the bus to Florence. Fiesole is a lovely place to stay. Make sure you go up to the monastery for the best view of Florence!
Very responsive host.. Wonderful apartment in the center of Fiesole , very near the Roman theatre & museum, restaurants, shops. A peaceful retreat a 25 min. bus ride away from the bustling city center of Florence.
