Breakfast was better than most 5 star hotels I have been before, fresh, well done and delicious. The room was very comfortable, room size, toilet are good enough. The coldest days in the year there were warm drink and hand made cookies for the guests every afternoon. Everyday from 16:00 to 17:00, guests can have free snacks at the main hall, that i think is really nice. The Spa is brand new and worthy the visit

The cleanliness of the Hotel and my room were the best I have ever seen, Outstanding ! Staff were friendly and as a family business they took great pride in ensuring a perfect experience. A great location out from the business part of Garda with easy access to the free shuttle bus. Breafast was good with a nice selection of cakes. Coffee was excellent with one to one service.

The hospitality at hotel Gabbiano is above and beyond. We met Christian the hotel manager who helped us in a very bad situation when our car got broken after checkout. He did not only bring us to a car repair shop and managed the translation with the Italian mechanic patiently. In the end he even drove us 1h with all our luggage in his private car to our new hotel without expecting anything in return!!! I cannot express how much friendliness, hospitality and help we experienced in particular from Christian and the whole hotel Gabbiano Team. Highly recommend! Also for the cleaniness, the breakfast and the great location just a few steps from the sea. We will definitively come back and recommend this place to our friends.

Really enjoyed Garda. Great bus service to local areas. Saved on Taxi to Verona as bus service so efficient and very reasonable. Convenient and affordable ferry transport to other towns on the lake, so much easier than renting a car. Especially enjoyed Bardolino. A nice walk along the lake and if you don't feel like walking back jump on a ferry. Very nice shops.

Garda is an excellent base for western Lake Garda area since it's in the middle and has convenient transportation connections to both north and south by bus and ferry. Garda is also very tranquil and peaceful to stay at. This is our second time to Garda within 6 months!

Garda is a beautiful town with lots of lovely restaurants...

Garda is a beautiful town with lots of lovely restaurants along the promenade. The town is ideally placed for exploring the other towns on Lake Garda by bus and boat. We visited Desenzano and Sirmione to the South, Malcesine and Torbole to the North. We also went to Peschiera and got the Frecciarossa train to Venice for the day. The lake has charming little towns and spectacular mountain views. Very beautiful.

Loads of super restaurants, bars and cafes.

Loads of super restaurants, bars and cafes. The lake is stunning with beautifully kept gardens along the shore. The water is so clean and ideal for swimming.There are boats to take you to other beautiful towns along the lake. It is very flat and ideal for long lakeside walks. Everywhere is very clean and prices are reasonable. Highly recommend for a relaxing holiday.

Lake Garda is a wonderful destination for a holiday with plenty to do, on and off the lake, each village/town has its own charm and is different to each other in many ways. hiring a car is necessary if you want to explore further away from the lake to places like Verona, Venice, Mantova etc. but the ferries on the lake are very frequent and a great way to explore across the lake, The East side of the lake has more sun than the west which does loose the sun during the afternoon due to the mountains. Some of the towns can be very busy in high season so if you don't like crowds perhaps consider visiting the lake earlier in the season or during September or October when things are quieter. Enjoy

The whole lake is beautiful.

The whole lake is beautiful. We stayed in Garda town, for the second year running, and I think that this is the best spot having easy access to transport, such as buses and the lake ferries which can take you to most places around the lake for a very reasonable cost.There are a mildred of bars along the lake side - you’ll be spoilt for choice, but Catullo was our fav. great food and friendly staff. Can't wait to go back. There are a couple of amusement parks within easy reach for the young or not so young 'erms

The breakfast was lovely and the location of the hotel is great, with lots of restaurants, cafe's and shops nearby. We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Roma. Everyone, from Natasha and her colleagues on the front desk, to the waiters and all the staff members, including the cleaning staff, they were all super friendly and very welcoming. We will certainly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lake Garda.

The staff were fantastic, very accommodating and friendly both during and before our stay. The hotel location was perfect with a very short walk into Garda town and opposite the ferry port. Pool and view were luxuries during our stay and breakfast offered a wide range of options. Food and drink was reasonably priced. All inclusive tea time was a nice touch.

Great location especially if you are coming in by car. It is super close to a massive public parking and just around the corner from the old town with all the shops, restaurants and lakeside. The staff were really nice and friendly, the breakfast was very good too. Rooms are spacious and clean. It is very good value especially in the Lake Garda area.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Astoria. The hotel is situated on the lakeside and has a wonderful breakfast buffet included. The staff was very kind and helpful. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we prolonged our stay with an extra night the evening before. Erika was super helpful and even gave us the time to consider the option to prolong our stay!

We stayed in garda for 5 days. We lovely every minute. The hotel is right in the town. Great as bud stop just 5 min walk. Ferry is 2 min walk so it's really easy to get to see the other amazing places. The view just out of the hotel is just beautiful!
