Absolutely a well maintained and beautiful hotel. The attention to detail is astounding. The room was bigger than expected, clean and amazing interior design, that blends luxury, modern and old really well. Breakfast was great, bacon was really good and tasted fresh. The selection of sweet pastries, and fruit was great. Pool area and the facilities is super nice and the location of the hotel is surreal. It’s a beautiful area with the river and near by restaurants tying the whole experience together.

The Veneto offers relaxation and recreation in world-famous cities and wonderful landscapes. Words don’t do justice to its ever-serene capital Venice, a captivating maze of canals and monuments. Cheap hotels in Venice are scarce, but Mestre across the lagoon offers more budget options.

Cheap flights to Venice land in Treviso, a little version of that fabled city. Also centred on canals is beautiful Chioggia, home to several Veneto hotels on the beach. Yet more are in Caorle, near its distinctive 11th-century bell tower and waterfront church. Another family-friendly Veneto resort with a long beach is Lido di Jesolo.

In studenty Padua, Giotto’s 14th-century frescoes in the Scrovegni Chapel are bursting with colour. The majestic Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza was designed by Palladio, the prolific architect whose villas and churches cover the Veneto. Romantic Verona inspired Romeo and Juliet and has an incredibly well-preserved Roman arena hosting summer opera.

Venice is magical, but stay away from St Marks Square.

Venice is magical, but stay away from St Marks Square. Use the day passes on the vaperetto to cut down on all the walking you will want to do to see the different neighborhoods. Take a last ride around the canals as the sun is setting of the vaperetto. Go to the museums and eat away from the touristy areas. Enjoy the magical ambiance the city has to offer by slowing down at times and just taking it all in!

An amazing city with many historic landmarks in the city center. There are plenty of charming corners, narrow streets, and restaurants where you can truly soak up the atmosphere and character of the place.

It isn't far from the city at all.

It isn't far from the city at all. The T1 tram runs every 10 minutes. There is a tram stop behind the hotel but also a bus stop right in front of the hotel. Buses to and from the hotel run from this bus stop. It is a max 15 minute drive to and from.

Padova was a revelation.

Padova was a revelation. It was meant to be just a base for visits to Venice but the city held its own. Great churches and historic sites to visit and a very good food scene and a young ambience to go with it.

We visited for the Ironman 70.3 event so only stayed for 5...

We visited for the Ironman 70.3 event so only stayed for 5 days in early May before the main tourist season. The sandy beach was wonderful, clean with soft sand and the water stayed shallow for a long way out which is nice for children. Local shops and restaurants supplied everything we needed and everyone was friendly and helpful. Easy direct bus to visit Venice for the day and to the airport.

Very crowded city with pretty canal in the city centre. Mega expensive Uber cabs. Bus timetables were only propositions, not the strict information how it routes. Some buses were missing. Thousands of tourists. Probably not to revisit.

Beautiful small city, many interesting buildings and good shops. Brilliant place for days out on train , easy access to Padova and Venice etc. Unfortunately everything closed down by 10pm, and not very comfortable walking around at night due to young men on the streets. Most restaurants /cafes had same pizza or pasta, hard to find decent place for a proper Italian meal.

Pretty little town that has easy access to Verona via bus (162 -165), Garda town via a flat 1-2 mile lakeside walk and other small towns via the Garda boat service. Plenty of nice restaurants and amenities and all within a short walk of each other. Caprice 1971 was a lovely restaurant with great staff, as was the trattoria al commercio. Lacus was also a great cocktail/wine and gin bar

Marghera is an ugly, industrial port city close to Venice.

Marghera is an ugly, industrial port city close to Venice. Nobody travels to that region to see Marghera, obviously Venice is the attraction. Our cruise was departing and returning to Marghera. This is why we stayed there.

Loved the town. Very walkable. Easy access to ferry for very scenic trips to nearby Lamone and Riva. Gondola to Mt Baldo was amazing. The lake and surrounding mountains provided constant breathtaking views.
