If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Giacomo and Ivana were just beyond outstanding. Giacomo went out of his way to help us with a refund we needed for a petrol kiosk situation without us asking which was just amazing and so very thoughtful of him. Ivana made sure we had our breakfasts packed when we needed to leave the hotel early for our hikes. We saw her in full action - she was the receptionist, making coffee in the morning for breakfast and also preparing the breakfast spread as well. The rooms are modern, brand new and always clean. We highly recommend this lovely lodging to anyone touring the dolomites!

FAQs about hotels in Veneto

Inspiration for Artist and Architect

The Veneto offers relaxation and recreation in world-famous cities and wonderful landscapes. Words don’t do justice to its ever-serene capital Venice, a captivating maze of canals and monuments. Cheap hotels in Venice are scarce, but Mestre across the lagoon offers more budget options.

Cheap flights to Venice land in Treviso, a little version of that fabled city. Also centred on canals is beautiful Chioggia, home to several Veneto hotels on the beach. Yet more are in Caorle, near its distinctive 11th-century bell tower and waterfront church. Another family-friendly Veneto resort with a long beach is Lido di Jesolo.

In studenty Padua, Giotto’s 14th-century frescoes in the Scrovegni Chapel are bursting with colour. The majestic Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza was designed by Palladio, the prolific architect whose villas and churches cover the Veneto. Romantic Verona inspired Romeo and Juliet and has an incredibly well-preserved Roman arena hosting summer opera.

Nearby Lake Garda offers many luxury hotels in the Veneto on Booking.com. By its eastern shore is the popular Gardaland theme park, the elegant Garda promenade, and the wineries of Bardolino.

Grappa was invented in riverfront Bassano del Grappa, and nearby Asolo is one of the region’s most beautiful hill towns. Belluno is overlooked by the Dolomites, while Abano Terme is a spa town by the Colli Euganei, whose undulating hills house vineyards.

we stayed in barricata for the second time, and it was fantastic! even though we had a corfu bungalow, which is a bit smaller (veranda) than the bellagio small, but it was great! we also did a bicycle tour with the rented bikes, that was beautiful and the restaurant marina 70 on the other side of the sacca di scardovari was very good! it takes about an hour if you cycle with children one way, but the scenery is beautiful. the pools are fantastic, the pizza at the bar very delicious, the staff friendly and the beach clean and not too crowded. the luna park was the highlight for the children and the market on thursdays is small but very nice. we enjoyed our stay very much and would come back anytime!

An amazing experience at Gardaland Hotel! The hotel is beautifully themed, very clean, and perfect for both families and couples. Do some homework and know where you want to see and get there early before using the day to just discover the lesser seen City. Get off a Vaporetto and see where you end up what can go wrong in such a small city. Stop and watch the world go by at ease. Find quiet gardens and backwaters. Get your Guide is useful for ideas. Loved small and discrete Vineria all'Amarone 5 mins from Rialto.

This is our second trip to Verona so we did a vineyard tour to 2 local wineries. We enjoyed trying the local wines and seeing the process. We spent time walking through all of the streets and piazzas this time, but for first-timers, I would recommend the Verona Card…EVERYTHING has an entry fee now. Even the Juliet House Courtyard is no longer free. The Arena, Bell Tower at Piazza Erbe, and the Santa Anastasia Church are worth a visit. And yes, the Juliet House, a fictitious place, is worth it if you have the card!

Treviso is perfect for getting around on foot.

Treviso is perfect for getting around on foot. It is a small city of rushing water, canals, arches and churches. The locals seemed to be pleasant, cultured and welcoming. There is a university with a lovely pedestrianised area to walk through. There are art exhibitions, museums and concerts. Lots of art and frescoes in the churches. We didn't find it easy to stroll around and find somewhere to eat in the evenings without booking and planning in advance (this was in March, and many eateries were closed in the evenings). It is also a great place to stay and set off for nearby towns for day trips. But Treviso is lovely in it's own right. It would be a mistake to ignore it and head straight for Venice!

Pretty little town that has easy access to Verona via bus (162 -165), Garda town via a flat 1-2 mile lakeside walk and other small towns via the Garda boat service. Vicenza is one of the most underrated cities in northern Italy. It is an immensely significant historic center, particularly due to its strong association with the architect Andrea Palladio whose work was essential to the rise of classical domestic architecture. His work influenced architect in Britain, the United States and throughout the world. It is also a city that is not a museum. Unlike Florence, Verona or Venice its historic center is not inundated with tourists and there are few souvenir shops. You feel the rhythm of Italian life there. So go to Vicenza and see its wonders!
