Great location - steps from everything. Angela is fabulous! Welcomed us with delicious treats and cold juice. Apartment is spacious and well appointed - we particularly appreciated the washing machine after a week of walking the Magna via Francigena. We LOVED Ioppolo Giancaxio and wish we had more time to spend there. . .

upon arrival, I was treated unprofessionally by the staff and informed that my reservation had been moved to another hotel without my consent. This hotel was 20 minutes away from my original choice, and it was much older and less comfortable. The noise levels were extremely high, making it difficult for me to sleep. Additionally, I experienced severe itching throughout the night, which suggests a cleanliness issue in the hotel. This affected my comfort and well-being, making my stay completely unacceptable. I paid for a hotel that was completely different from what I originally booked, and my experience was extremely disappointing. Given these circumstances, don't reserve again due to the poor service, lack of professionalism, and the unacceptable conditions of the hotel.

My wife and I are already dreaming of a return trip. It's a truly special boutique hotel just outside the city. Everyone at Borgo delle Pietre couldn't be friendlier and more hospitable too. The grounds tranquil, the pool was perfect on a hot day, and our room was spacious, comfortable and cozy. Our delicious dinner on the patio under the stars was an added bonus. Domenico, Mara and team make you feel like a valued guest.

This was a very small village. Beautiful, old and charming.

This was a very small village. Beautiful, old and charming. We ate at its three restaurants and had coffee at a small coffee house. Everything was delicious and the people were friendly and hospitable. We attended church service on Sunday evening. This was our first time here and hopefully not our last. This was a special trip as we ventured here to see where my father was born and raised. The people went out of their way to help us locate my father's family home and my grandmother's cemetery. Although we did not speak Italian or Sicilian and the villagers did not speak English, with the help of google translate we were fine. We even met cousins that we did not know we had. We enjoyed watching the kids play soccer in the town square. We felt a sense of familiarity with the men gathering outside to talk with one another. We will forever treasure the time we spent here. Our hearts are full.

Being on the outskirts of Agrigento and a small village , not much happens there but the people are extra friendly , the 2 restaurants served decently good food but other than that , there is nothing around . Peace and serenity were 100% and being that the apartment is located less than 10 mtr from the main area , it was extra comfortable for us . Angela was extra helpfull , a sweet young owner who made sure we had everything we needed ......the apartment was fabulous , well designed and furnished , very clean and organized too ...could`nt ask for more ......highly recommended . Having a car is a must there and visiting historical places like the Valley of Temples and others like Scala dei Turki makes it all worth while ..Agrigento itself is a beautiful city which is easily reached by car from JoppoloGiancaxio and worth exploring ..

    I didn’t like anything.

I didn’t like anything. Dangerous electrics, bulbs missing, no hot water. Dingy and unkempt. Full of awful old shoddy furniture. Microwave button broken so couldn’t heat any water for coffee. Wi-Fi code unintelligible (see pic), I tried contacting him but to no avail. This was the most expensive accommodation on my 8 day trip, the place I stayed for the least time and the poorest. On attempting to discuss with owner he was dismissive, uncooperative and obfuscated the issue whilst accusing me of stealing a cot cover ?? Please don’t stay here as it might hopefully encourage him to improve the facilities. The trip was towards the end of an extremely difficult pilgrimage across Sicily and this accommodation left me with a bitter taste in my mouth exactly the type of feelings I looked to avoid on the trip. Shame on him. Sorry for the overly verbose language I’m trying to show that this was a carefully considered, worded and accurate review of a horrible place.
