Locanda Re Ruggero is set opposite the cathedral in the historic center of Monreale, a picturesque town on the slopes of Mount Caputo. The air-conditioned rooms all feature free Wi-Fi. Giulia was extremely tentative, she provided a kettle for us immediately when requested. Excellent bed, clean every day, lovely breakfast with Tony at Saviao, I grew up in Monreale Sicily and I loved every minute of it. Hope to come back next year
Located in Monreale, a 6-minute walk from Duomo di Monreale, Opera Boutique Rooms provides accommodations with a restaurant, private parking, a bar and a shared lounge. It's a very nice family owned simple B&B - the owner is very nice and helpful in every respect
Set 2297 ft from Duomo di Monreale and 6.2 mi from La Zisa, Casa Normanna in Monreale offers air-conditioned accommodations with views of the city and free WiFi. It is very clean except for the faucet in the sink which is rusty ( look at the photos I include)
Featuring a balcony with city views, and a bar and a shared lounge, B&B Palazzo Cutò can be found in Monreale, close to Duomo di Monreale and 5 miles from La Zisa. The kindness of Mr. Paolo as he is in all details to make sure that guests are feeling at home, the magnificent view of Palermo bay and hills as well as the delicious breakfast served in the terrace complete this awesome experience
Offering a terrace with views of the Monreale Cathedral and Palermo, Affittacamere Casa Paola is located 2953 feet from the center of Monreale. We loved the view over Palermo from the balcony and liked the secure parking spot Paola gave us. Palermo can be reached in no-time and Paola's place is perfect to explore western Sicily. It is on walking distance to the beautiful cathedral of Monreale. Paolo is very kind and will do her best to make your stay comfortable.
Offering a terrace, Casa Lilla is located in the center of Monreale. A sweet and savory continental breakfast is provided daily, and WiFi is free throughout. This was a great Airbnb with a view of the city. Host, Veronica was kind and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious. Most comfortable king bed of our trip. Would definitely stay again.
Set 10 minutes' walk from the historical center of Monreale, B&B Al Giardino offers rustic or elegant rooms set in a traditional Sicilian countryside villa. Al Giordino is a wonderful B&B near Monreale. It is a peaceful oasis with beautiful gardens and exceptionally friendly and helpful hosts. They were happy to give us a ride to and from Monreale whenever we asked and help us with travel arrangements from the airport and a day trip to Palermo. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious! We were mother, daughter and grandmother and were very comfortable in the suite - very spacious. Thank you for our stay and we hope to return soon.
Providing free parking and free Wi-Fi access, B&B Elvira Al Duomo is 1969 feet from Monreale Cathedral. Its classic-style rooms have air conditioning, a flat-screen TV and private bathroom. Great location with private parking in beautiful garden area. A warm welcome, with juice and cookies from our terrific host Elvira. Santino took us up to the church and showed us the path back down to the B and B, saving us the hike up the hill. If you have a rental car, or bring your own, this is the perfect choice for Monreale
Lovely walkable town - fabulous duomo with gold mosaics depicting scenes from Bible. Be sure to take “terrace” walk. Several good restaurants, and easy accessibility to Palermo which can be noisy and crazy to drive in.
We had way to little time to spend here, but wanted to see the beautiful Duomo with its excellent mosaics and Norman architecture. What a charming little town. Wish we could have explored more, but we were at the end of a 25 day trip and came here just to see the Duomo. However, we discovered there is so much more here. Lovely restaurants, a historic center, and views that take your breath away. Monreale truly overlooks all of Palermo and the bay from high up on a mountain side. There is also bus service right down to the historic center of Palermo. This makes staying in Monreale even a better and wiser choice than staying in Palermo.
Peper's Restaurant, Sabrina at the cafe in the corner, the exterior back end of the basilica, the winding narrow streets with tiny local shopping, people carrying on with their daily lives, the church bells, the exquisite views of Palermo and the sea beyond. Pino, a sweet friend of the owner of the hotel, showed us some very special spots in the village.
Our favorite, most beautiful cathedral/church/duomo in all of Europe! Golden, shimmering mosaics! Monreale is a sweet little mountain town with an excellent history. Nice people, delicious food, small town 'feel'.
Monreale is a sweet town in Sicily We arrived on May 3 to experience the Feast of the Cross All the locals were in the streets to witness the carrying of the Christ on the cross throughout the streets followed by fireworks Just a great experience for me
Monreale is a lovely village on top of Palermo with a wonderful view over the city. The Cathedral is absolutely a must to see, wonderful as well as the monastery. The village is quiet and welcoming. Some very good restaurants one we liked very much was Chez Philippo .
Beautiful, lovingly decorated with items and linens of a bygone era, Vannina our hostess was attentive to our needs and questions and served breakfast in her home area with wide windows to open onto the panorama of the mountains and sea. Breakfast was sumptuous and delicious. Again as in every B and B where we stayed in Sicily, the pride and devotion to showcasing the particular foods of the area were in evidence. Location is literally a stones throw from the Duomo.
Amazing updated rooms and bathrooms. It was so clean and so close to the Duomo. The host, Valeria and her husband Erico were the most amazing hosts! They helped us with transportation and told us where to eat. We spent one night with them at dinner and Valeria took us to Palermo to show us a lot of sights. We loved getting to know her and her family! She has become our friend! We cannot thank her and her husband enough for the wonderful time we had in Sicily!
Right on the square of the cathedral of Monreale, which was the reason for our visit. The room was large and had charming character. The hostess was a lot of fun. This is a tiny place that has no feel of a hotel, just our sort of place. Great pizza restaurant just across the square. Terrific assistance with the parking and the bags by a local fellow made us feel special.
Beautiful property. Very close to the Duomo in Monreale. (A bit of a hill, but the owners were so accommodating. They drove us up the hill so that we could explore). They really went above and beyond. Our room was upgraded to a beautiful view. The breakfast was amazing. The property's gardens were immaculate and beautiful. It was a genuinely lovely experience.
We just stayed one night but we felt very welcome and got the best breakfast we had in Sicily. Nice view från the pool. A good value for the money. The owner gave us a lift into the center in the evening - just very nice people.
All of it. Paolo and Maria are wonderful hosts, and made us feel at home. The place is perfectly located and the room is very comfortable, we will recomend it to everyone visiting sicily. A relaxing stay in a great location.
Fantastisch view over Palermo bay from the extensive terrace. Walking distance from Monreale cathedral, and easy access to public transport to Palermo so that we could leave the car at the appartment.
The host is very enthusiastic and gives a lot of help. The breakfast was very rich and delicious, the room was beautiful, clean and the bed was very comfortable. 5minutes walk to the Duomo Monreale.
Valentina and Angelo were great hosts and very welcoming. Comfortable accommodation with a lovely terrace. Good location to access major roads for reaching tourist sites in western half of Sicily.
Clean and good hotel near the beautiful place Monreale. Nice people. Excellent “base camp” hotel if you want to explore the north-west side of Sicily
Good location behind the Cathedral. Monreale and Palermo have an “edgy” side to it, especially on a weekend evening. Made us a bit uncomfortable.
Great, comfortable, and clean room. Staff is very kind and helpful. A few minutes away from the heart of Monreale.
