Locanda Re Ruggero is set opposite the cathedral in the historic center of Monreale, a picturesque town on the slopes of Mount Caputo. The air-conditioned rooms all feature free Wi-Fi. Liked the top floor suite and view from the balcony.
Hotel Guglielmo II is just outside Monreale. It features a bar, terrace and sun terrace, plus free private parking. Wi-Fi is free in public areas. Extremely helpful staff. The receptionist went above the call of duty to feed us on New Year's day by arranging food delivery and setting up a cozy table for us. Note: the hotel has its own restaurant but it was closed like practically all other restaurants in town.
Located within 1.3 miles of Duomo di Monreale and 6 miles of La Zisa in Monreale, Casa Normanna provides accommodations with a kitchen. Complimentary WiFi is offered. It is very clean except for the faucet in the sink which is rusty ( look at the photos I include)
Located in Monreale, a 2-minute walk from Duomo di Monreale and 5 miles from La Zisa, B&B Palazzo Cutò offers a terrace and air conditioning. Location, right behind the duomo, the fantastic breakfast, the AC, and of course our host paolo who made our stay one to remember.
Featuring a garden, a terrace, and a shared lounge, B&B La Piazzetta provides accommodations in Monreale with free WiFi and mountain views. The property is 5 miles from Duomo di Monreale. Great friendly proprietors; husband, wife, and 2 boys. Very helpful and take care of things quickly. They deserve a 10 out of 10 for their efforts. The place is wonderful, clean, modern, bright, and great views of Monreale and Palermo. Even though they don't speak much english, they try extremely hard to make you understand, help with food and restaurant recommendations etc etc. Wonderful & welcoming family
Offering a terrace with views of the Monreale Cathedral and Palermo, Affittacamere Paola is located 2953 feet from the center of Monreale. Great location! A short walk to Monreale village - an authentic "small town" Italian experience, especially in evening after Cathedral visitors depart. Perfect for day trip to central Palermo using nearby bus. Amazing views of Palermo and coastline from the unit's terrace. Extra large modern unit and very clean facilities. Paola and her family were the perfect hosts.

Featuring sea views, Country house provides accommodations with a terrace and an electric tea pot, around 3.1 miles from Palazzo dei Normanni. The property features mountain and garden views.
Lovely walkable town - fabulous duomo with gold mosaics depicting scenes from Bible. Be sure to take “terrace” walk. Several good restaurants, and easy accessibility to Palermo which can be noisy and crazy to drive in.
We had way to little time to spend here, but wanted to see the beautiful Duomo with its excellent mosaics and Norman architecture. What a charming little town. Wish we could have explored more, but we were at the end of a 25 day trip and came here just to see the Duomo. However, we discovered there is so much more here. Lovely restaurants, a historic center, and views that take your breath away. Monreale truly overlooks all of Palermo and the bay from high up on a mountain side. There is also bus service right down to the historic center of Palermo. This makes staying in Monreale even a better and wiser choice than staying in Palermo.
Peper's Restaurant, Sabrina at the cafe in the corner, the exterior back end of the basilica, the winding narrow streets with tiny local shopping, people carrying on with their daily lives, the church bells, the exquisite views of Palermo and the sea beyond. Pino, a sweet friend of the owner of the hotel, showed us some very special spots in the village.
Our favorite, most beautiful cathedral/church/duomo in all of Europe! Golden, shimmering mosaics! Monreale is a sweet little mountain town with an excellent history. Nice people, delicious food, small town 'feel'.
Monreale is a sweet town in Sicily We arrived on May 3 to experience the Feast of the Cross All the locals were in the streets to witness the carrying of the Christ on the cross throughout the streets followed by fireworks Just a great experience for me
Monreale is a lovely village on top of Palermo with a wonderful view over the city. The Cathedral is absolutely a must to see, wonderful as well as the monastery. The village is quiet and welcoming. Some very good restaurants one we liked very much was Chez Philippo .

Excellent views from the terrace of an old palazzo just under the fabulous cathedral of monreale. A great place from which to see Palermo also as the old city is half an hour's bus ride away and you can put your car in the B&Bs very secure and easy-to-access private parking for a reasonable 5 Euros thus avoiding most of the Palermo traffic. Monreale cathedral and cloister are also among the finest things to see in Sicily. A great Breakfast on the terracePalermo spread below and Monreale cathedral behind is a great way to start the day

The staff were most helpful. The lady in Reception organized a take away for us as the restaurant is closed on Monday night. She then advised us brilliantly on parking and touring in both Monreale and Palermo. The breakfast was very good and the panoramic dining room lived up to its name. The hotel is well placed to drive or take bus into Palermo.

Very friendly and helpfull staff. Private parking area in front of the hotel. Very good restaurant just few meters far. But the best thing is their pool on the terace with beautiful panoramic view where you can relax all day. We made our stay there one day longer then we planned.

Gated parking spot. Washing machine. Great view of Palermo from two balconies. We parked our car and took the bus to Palermo. The cathedral on Monreale is unequaled for mosaics. We had two very fine meals at the Taverna del Povone, which is a block from the cathedral.

Great host. Good location. Calm and away from the hustle and bustle of Palermo. While still being of easy reach. Monreale by itself is very pleasant with everything you could hope from Gelato to good pizza. The Cathédrale is outstanding as well.

The host is very enthusiastic and gives a lot of help. The breakfast was very rich and delicious, the room was beautiful, clean and the bed was very comfortable. 5minutes walk to the Duomo Monreale.

Everything! The owners, the room, the pool, the location and proximity to the center of Monreale and to palermo. Would definitely stay there if i am ever in the area.

Good location behind the Cathedral. Monreale and Palermo have an “edgy” side to it, especially on a weekend evening. Made us a bit uncomfortable.
