Roberto personally guided the access to the hotel and showed how to get around the city.

Located within the medieval walls of Montepulciano, the 16th-century Albergo Il Marzocco is the oldest hotel in town. Wonderful old house with INCREDIBLE view at Tuscan landscape. Can't imagine better place to stay in Montepulciano, i wish we would stay longer. Parking is just next to the hotel, just drive through the main town gate (it looks like you shouldn't but you can) and turn left. Room was clean with beautiful renovated bathroom. You just feel like you traveled back in time in this house, actually you feel like that in the whole beautiful town.

Many families visiting Montepulciano loved staying at Hotel I Due Cigni, Il Rondò Boutique Hotel, and La Terrazza Di Montepulciano.
the town is super; wish i could have stayed another day. parking for the town is difficult; if your car is a med/large size - good luck most parking stalls will be a squeeze; and others do not always park right. Once in town, know that the walk is uphill... lots to see; great vinotecas, and bars, and places to eat. don't buy at the first place you see.. check out the town... and it looks bigger than it is... and you have to try the wine... especially Vino Nobile di Montepulciano... many vinotecas has tasting opportunities... don't pass them up... I hope to come back for another visit..... soon Didn't get to see the town at night... and where you can, you can get a wonderful view of the Tuscan landscape from the left side of the main street (walking up) and some are with places to sit and enjoy a drink...
Wine cellars, palaces, and "piazza grande" were amazing, all the dishes of Tuscany's traditional cooking are wonderful, you can have a great time wandering in the fresh night's breeze, tasting "Nobile di Montepulciano", traditional cold cuts and some Pienza's cheese. Honestly, I am not able to think about a singular wrong thing about Montepulciano...
Unfortunately, the trip was not pleasant because of the sheer number of tourists in town and not only in Montepulciano but in other surrounding towns of beauty. For some reason, after the 15th of August tourism exploded in Italy. Business owners in town were telling us that this was a very unusual experience, even for them. They were inundated with too much business all at once when the months of June and July were very slow when usually they aren't. With the masses of people going around during this Covid 19 period, it was disconcerting because so many people in such close proximity and hardly anyone wearing masks. We will go back in October again just to get the real experience of Montepulciano and the surrounding area while avoiding the crowds. Oh and on one side of town, you can see amazing sunsets while on the opposite you see the sun rise. Beautiful.
Montepulciano blew me away. Thought it would be a tiny, sleepy city but it was packed with great restaurants, wine bars, shops, and breathtaking views. There was a Christmas market going on which added to our experience too. We stayed there since it was on our way to Rome from Florence. We were looking to stay somewhere central so we can venture out to other places in Tuscany durning our stay. So glad we decided to stay here. We spent 12 days traveling through Italy and this small town was our highlight of the trip.
Montepulciano is everything you would imagine Tuscany to be! It's beautiful, historic and the locals were welcoming! You have so many choices for restaurants, be it quick, casual, or fancy. The Wine shops, Cheese shops and other stores offered something for everyone! My favorite part of Montepulciano was the ability to stay near the Village as your home base, and allowing you to take short day trips to so many other Villages in under an hour. If Wine Tours are something you're interested in doing, Montepulciano has more Wineries than you could possibly visit! If you've been to Italy and have seen the bigger cities and sights and would like to go at your own pace, fewer tourists and get more of the local culture I would highly recommend Montepulciano!
History shines in this gem of a Tuscan hilltop town. Great food to be had in many of the restraunts in town. There is a conad superstore just on the outside of the historic center, great to get a few things if needed. We will be back
Montepulciano

Thanks a lot to Martin to check-in an make sure everything is fine 👍 We always felt welcomed from the whole team and want to send our BIG THANK YOU for make this vacation so special. Montepulciano
The accomodation is ideally located at the foot of Montepulciano (5 minute ride). The accomodation and surrounding garden were huge (for the two of us) and all required facilities were accounted for. We were well received by the owners, who are very friendly and took the time to run us through all the items at the accommodation. A plus for us, having travelled quite a bit through Italy and stayed at various locations, was how quiet the area is. An ideal location to explore the surrounding area and get a good rest.
Montepulciano
This was a perfect experience for us. Davide and his family made us feel happy and welcome the minute we arrived. The room was comfortable and clean. We had a chance to relax by the fire drinking wine made by Davide, chatting with fellow guests and the family. Antonella's cakes are not to be missed! We were deeply touched when, after we checked out, Davide suggested if we were ever passing through, to come visit for a cup of espresso. This stay was definitely the highlight of our vacation in Italy.
Montepulciano
The location of this Agriturismo is fantastic for exploring Montepulciano and the Tuscan countryside. The owner was very welcoming, providing us with a bottle of Chianti made from a blend of grapes including her own as well as a basket of breads and a can of ground coffee for our use. The grounds are lovely containing landscaped areas with picnic tables, olive groves and vineyards. It truly is a working farm. The property is within walking distance of Montepulciano and Tempio de San Biagio.
Montepulciano
The views from this place are fenomenal! The hotel itself is so beautiful too. Our room was very comfortable and clean (we were in the newer house on the side, not the main the house). The pool is also one the best features of this place, without a doubt. If you're looking for picturesque scenes, this has them all! I only wish that they had a restaurant so that you could enjoy lunch or dinner with that view. The place is truly a hidden gem.
Montepulciano
Location was perfect, right at the heart of Montepulciano. Can be a bit tricky to get to, but Enrico was very helpful in getting us there. Overall, wonderfully cozy with GREAT service- thank you, Enrico and Roberto, and the staff that made us breakfast and cleaned our room! Amazing to wake up to the smell of freshly baked tarts for breakfast, served in the lobby right outside your door in this quaint, 5 room hotel. Highly recommend!!
Montepulciano
In the lovely appartment located right in the heart of the old town of Montepulciano, there is a lot of attention to detail. It was very clean, and supplied with everything you could possibly need. It's very stylish too, giving you the feeling of a home rather than a hotel right upon arrival. Also, the host Erika was extremely kind, attentive and caring, ensuring that everything regarding our stay and transport went smoothly.
Montepulciano
The staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. The location is excellent, right in the centre of the beautiful town of Montepulciano. Our room was excellent: large and spacious with a view of and access to a small terrace garden. The room was well-designed and very clean, with an abundance of plug sockets and good lighting, 2 things which are not always available in some hotels.
Montepulciano
Newer property close to Montepulciano- beautiful surroundings of olive trees and vineyard. staff was incredibly warm, welcoming and went out of the way to make our stay great. greeted with wine and smiles. we had a few issues with heating and electrical fuses but all was resolved. Breakfast was also incredible! would certainly return and recommend.
Montepulciano
The most incredible view. Lovely little apartment near the top of the hill, easy to walk to restaurant and bars, delightful owners were amazing to talk with upon checking. Apartment came with all the neccesities (hairdryer, soap, coffee machines, wine openers etc.) I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Montepulciano.
Montepulciano
The staff is super helpful and friendly. Seriously, they went out of their to be helpful. I reserved the last single room, which turned out to be a handicap room …. So, the room was huge. The bed was super comfortable. If I’m ever in Montepulciano again this is where I’ll be staying.
Montepulciano
The tranquille atmosphere in the garden with an amazing view on Montepulciano. The very well kept rooms, garden and facilities. To cuddle with Leo and most of all the friendly contact with the good heart of the place. Thank you Loredana!

A very nice view, accompanied with a warm bath watching the sunset hit Montepulciano can only be described as a luxury. Very nice rooms, and a tasty breakfast, complements a very nice stay at the Salcheto Winehouse.

Historic location. In main square of Montepulciano. Building with history since 1504. Having stayed there for a night, was like a (luxury) timetravel back to 1800..
Location is perfect just downhill of Montepulciano. Tuscany view is amazing. Staff is helpful. Hotel territory has a lot of places to relax. Breakfast is basic.
