The property was located in a walled village, in an 11th Century building. Felt very quintessential Toscana, with modern amenities.
How many people can say they’ve stayed in a 15th-century convent? You can if you book Relais Chiostro di Pienza, a charming hotel set right in the heart of Pienza.

The view is just simply breath taking, to be able to have your breakfast outdoors overlooking the hills was a major highlight of our trip.
A very classic Tuscan hotel, very clean, staff were super friendly and not only was the view incredible, the breakfast itself was far more than we expected with all homemade cakes, croissants etc. it felt like home from home.

Francesco is a lovely host at la casa di Adelina.
Francesco is a lovely host at la casa di Adelina. He immediately made us feel right at home as he showed us around the shared spaces and our private space. He also shared the fascinating history of his family and the "casa." He is a wonderful baker and prepared beautiful, delicious breakfasts each morning. He answered every question we had about the town, allowing us to explore with confidence. He made excellent recommendations. I would HIGHLY recommend a visit to charming and friendly Monticchiello and to la casa di Adelina. We hope to retun.

Monticchiello is a lovely small town in the heart of Val d'Orcia. We stayed here several days and traveled by car to other places in Toscana. There are a few good restaurants in the town and the most breathtaking view on Toscana hills.

A beautiful mountain top Tuscan hamlet.
A beautiful mountain top Tuscan hamlet. We walked around the walls and tiny streets. We ate at Dario’s where we had a delicious lunch of suckling pig. We attended a wedding at the church which was an amazing experience.

Monticchiello is such a cute village and you can't miss the local playhouse/museum - wish we'd had more time to explore it! It's the perfect place to stay if you want to explore Pienza and the Val d'Orcia but come back to a homely, less touristy home-base.

Montichiello is a small quiet village in Tuscany, Val d´Orcia. I would have loved staying here longer than one night. It was really very cosy and lovely, just like you would image Tuscany. Daria is very kind and her colleagues too,. We also had the best dinner in her restaurant.
The photos doen't do it justice!!! The view, the location, the decoration... everything was great. Fruit basket and home made cake helped a lot. Futura and her family are a very nice and hospitable host. Montichiello is a very beautiful little medieval town with good dinner options and fantastic views of Val D'orcia and Pienza...
L’Olmo had everything! The location was fantastic for exploring the villages and towns of Tuscany. The room was perfect and the bed, wow, could sleep in that forever! Staff were fantastic and really made you feel welcomed and nothing was ever too much trouble. The gardens and pool were magical. The breakfast was delicious.
Position is just brilliant if you want to explore Val D Orcia. It is located just close to the town of Montecchiano, but you still feel like you are in the countryside. Beatiful view on Val D Orcia and Pienza, very nice garde and nice old house. Brakfast very good, hosts nice and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.
nice location, great view from the Monticchiello to the Toscanian Hills especially on sunrise and sunset.
apartment is nice, kitchen is well equipped, but we missed the wardrobe for our clothes and probably small sofa to sit when you are tired. Views probably are better from the second apartment that was above us
