The location is up in the mountains in a small but real medieval village. The view is very beautiful and it's a really cool place. However you will need to walk for a few minutes from where you park your car. We got the family room that consisted of two floors with one room on each floor and one bathroom on the second floor. The stairs in that room are very steep so watch out. It's not very fancy but it is very uniq and our kids liked it a lot. The owners was very friendly and helpful. We stayed here one night in order to visit La Brinca where we got married 6 years ago. We should definitely stay here again.

Absolutely stunning place. 173 steep stone steps up the hill, you reach this hidden gem in the middle of the Ligurian mountains. From morning till night, all you want to do is gaze over the mountains, and you will never wish to be anywhere else. Leo is the perfect host and then a little more. Very helpful and extremely kind, and in addition to this, he is a great cook🍋 We were lucky to get a chance to participate in his wonderful dinner. Thank you! Every morning he serves a luxurious breakfast on the terrasse, we felt very spoiled💕 In less than half an hour, you reach the Mediterranean and can jump into the beautiful turquoise water from eg. Chiavara, Sestri Levante, or anywhere else. A must is to visit Portofino, either by car, bus, or boat, departing from several harbors along the coast. Charming villages everywhere, but the best part of going to the coast is to return to the mountains and climb the 173 steps to your calm and lovely place ⛰️. Down the hill, there is a wonderful restaurant, Ca' di Prei, with local dishes, and a bit further down is the Michelin trattoria La Brinca. Make sure to book your table well in advance!🍝 We loved the car ride up the steep and narrow roads, and we learned to appreciate the steps from the parking lot to Farmhouse Castagnola 64. By the way, make sure to bring home a bottle or two of Leo and Lu's own olive oil 🫒

We had an great time there, even with the bad weather. Rooms are large (at least the one we've had), modern and very well cleaned. It's very well placed, not too far from Portofino, and with a little effort (and a car) even the Cinque Terre can be visited from this base. Both restaurants are very good quality, we've had dinner in both of them. Breakfast is not buffet, so it's difficult to compare it with other 5 star hotels, but it's good enough.

I'm in love with this hotel 😍 Everything so cosy and beautiful , starting from the design to the owners and to all of the members of the staff ❤️ I booked this hotel for my boyfriend birthday, I kindly asked if possible to decorate the room and put some champagne upon arrival 😊 they did everything for me and we get so emotional ❤️ Thank you so much for this lovely treat , experience , and I'm very pleased that I've got the chance to meet such an amazing people 😍😍😍I will definitely be back and I highly recommend this place !!!

Very special location for a very special journey. A quite atypical place, lost in the mountain for a journey very relaxing. People managning the welcome are pretty sympathic. Breakfast is great in this context. Great place to avoid the rush after a day visiting the cost.

Located in a lovely small montain village. Nice breakfast! Lorenzo offered us a bottle of very fine white wine on our arrival and we could cook pasta for dinner for free. Room was clean and comfortable! Would go again. Thank you very much!
