Riomaggiore is a wonderful but tiny village - one of the cinque terres on the Ligurian coast. It always has a lot of tourists from all over the world but even so the charm still shines through. You must find a place that will serve you home made troffi pasta with homemade pesto, the best was a Trattoria near the railway station. As long as you like seafood you will certainly not go hungry here. Riomaggiore is a very good base to explore the area either on foot, by sea or by train, get your walking boots on and have a marvellous time.
Knowing about the historical importance which is still very evident in the centro storico makes it extremely interesting. We loved the Ligurian cuisine, especially the Genoese pesto. We could buy our own food from the local shops and enjoy it in the apartment, as well as eat out.
Bajardo is a small mountain village in Liguria. It is not trying to charm or please, it is original, itself and provincial - just as it always has been. It is not pretty, it is beautiful and proud. People are nice, easy to talk to but they will never make the first move. If you care for a good platter of 'cinghiale' (wild boar), try Maurizio's restaurant, first restaurant on the left side of the main street. There are several good mountain hikes to be made with Bajardo as a storting point.
We loved the colorful buildings hanging off the cliffs and tumbling down to the center of town. We hiked the famous Sentierro Rosso between Vernazza and Corniglia and between Vernazza and Monterosso - the views were breathtaking. And during our 4-night stay in the area, we gorged on the seafood that abounds in the area and the simple yet delicious way they prepared it. The area is hilly and the accommodations are located on these steep hills but we were able to find accommodation that was only a few yards away from the train station and near the center of town. Although our room was on the third level, it was still better than some of the accommodations that were up the steep hills - the upside would be their gorgeous views of the Ligurian Sea.
Great location for Cinque Terre visit-train station 5 minutes from hotel. Lots to do in La Spezia-great shopping and super restaurant-“La Nuova Spezia”where we ate each night-Luciano and Fiero treat you like family with fish specials fresh from the Ligurian Sea. A fave spot for locals to dine!
Busy port town with lots of streets to explore. Within easy distance of Portofino for a day out along with other towns on the Ligurian coast. Short transfer from the airport. Eating out good value.
The place is in a peaceful and relaxing area among the green Ligurian hills, the owner is a really nice person who provided us with all we needed and gave us some good advise for our trip. The barbecue outside and the garden were stunning. Highly recommended.
Lovely characterful place which has a good vibe. More ‘Italian’ than the more well known Cinque Terre locations, if that makes sense. The working fishing harbour is not only very attractive, it means there’s no shortage of fresh fish and seafood available across the many bars and restaurants. You’ll find walks from Camogli alongside the rugged and sometimes challenging Ligurian coast. It’s also a place to just linger and enjoy a drink at a bar, plus the tradition of aperitivo snacks, or feast in a restaurant. Boat rides can take you in both directions to various landmarks along the coast, or you can just hop on a train. The town rises up the cliffs from the promenade and each level is accessed by many steps, so beware if you’ve limited mobility, because some parts will be harder to reach than others. At the weekends in particular, the beach can be very busy, but the weather is also changeable, so don’t be surpised to see cloudy skies and get a few rain showers. By the way, the beach is not sand, so make sure you have suitable footwear.
I found the people to be contrary to what they say about ligurians. In Noli i found the people to be very friendly and easy. Normally they talk liguria and “those people” but i found Noli to be different. So ya... i would recommend
Wonderful base for exploring this part of Liguria. Close enough to San Remo and the coast, but far enough away from the noise and bustle. A lovely village to explore with character and friendliness.

The apartment is just in the beginning of the old town. It is an typical Ligurian pink apartment. Inside was very elegantly decorated, new furniture, very clean. High ceilings give a fresh feeling as well. The kitchen was very comfortable. Mercato was close, so we prepared our own breakfast. A very nice osteria, local, is just below on the same street. Camelot is the name, been there twice, I can highly recommend this place. Thanks to Daria for her tip. We also tried the Spagetteria above the street, but this was not so special.

All staff very helpful and accommodating. Room very comfortable and quiet. Good choice for breakfast. Excellent location to train station enabling easy access to other areas of Liguria. Quite a walk into the city centre but bus service from Principe Station good. Metro also available. Volabus from/to Airport, in 15mins, for 6 euros each person, each way, also very useful. Bus Stop immediately outside arrivals at Genoa and drops off outside entrance to Principe. Very short walk across the road to the hotel.

We were warmly welcomed by a friendly and professional staff. Everyone was extremely helpful and informative - from where to park, sight seeing and transportation to the history, local cuisine and culture of Liguria. We had dinner twice at the hotel and were impressed with every course. All ingredients were local, fresh and cooked by the in-house chef. The rooms were very charming and comfortable. We highly recommend this hotel and would gladly return.

Location of hotel is a stones throw away from Bus and Train Station, in Centre of Genova. Coach from Airport cost €6 per person. €6 per person on train to travel the entire length of Liguria Coastline. Public transport is excellent! No need for Car or Bike hire. Hotel price is fantastic. We had a great breakfast for €4 per person! Hotel Staff speak enough English to answer any questions, that you may have. Close to Shops, Bars and Restaurants.

The location was amazing. The staff was beyond service minded, they were very accommodating and helpful with all of my questions and problems. This was my third visit in Liguria and thanks to the engagement and recommendations from the hotel staff my experience was stellar. I am blown away by the hospitality and the 'service mindset' the staff showed. I would recommend this hotel to anyone I know.

Lovely al fresco dining, intimate garden and pool area. Feels like you're in someones large villa rather than an impersonal hotel.Staff were very friendly and attentive. Food especially lunchtimes was excellent. We didn't dine at the hotel in the evenings as we preferred to try the numerous restaurants in the town, which are fantastic if you like fish and Ligurian speciality dishes.

The hotel was built is 1894 and it has kept its old fashioned charm. We had a nice room on the 4th floor with a balcony and a view of the picturesque Ligurian See.Easy to find and a 10 min walk to the casino and the centre of the town. You can park at the hotel at a very reasonable E5/day. And no , you do not go to San Remo for the beach. For us a beach holiday is in Punta Cana.

Great experience! Apartment very easy to get to by bus or by foot from the central station. Great strategic point if you want to explore all the whereabouts in Liguria. Hua is very nice and accessible. The apartment was very clean with everything mentioned in the listing. I strongly advise to book the place if you are traveling alone or with your partner. Great experience overall!

Amazing location next to the sea, very friendly staff who gave us a great room with the sea view. I like the free parking with cameras and a lot of plants all around the hotel. Unfortunately, we stayed just one day and couldn't try the breakfast and dinner, but when I am traveling back to Liguria, will definitely choose this hotel again, the price per value is very good.

EVERYTHING! The hosts are very helpful and welcoming and the room was just amazing: perfectly clean and a very comfortable bed. And the bathroom... I could live on that jacuzzy! Location is good, less than 10 minutes walk from the train station, as same as breakfast. We have stayed in several hotels during our trip to Toscany and Liguria and this, by far, was the best.

Superb location -200 meters to the free beach ( random rarity in Liguria) with shover and a place for changing -one can swim day and night. Good room as quiet as expected in a place with traffic, very friendly owners and personnel., wise combination of aircon and a fan. For sure will choose the same hotel next time especially for location- night swimming was fantastic.!

People were very nice and helpful. We had to book this hotel as a last time option (the other place was canceled without our knowledge). Serafino Liguria Hotel accepted us eventhough they had not received the booking e-mail confirmation yet (they got it later). The hotel has a restaurant and served us a good complete meal for only 13€.

Our second visit and the greeting was as warm as the last time. A great family run hotel, ideal for our stopover on the way to le Marche. I would not hesitate to recommend the Ariston for those seeking value for money comfort and a pleasant Italian welcome. Close to the marina and plenty of decent Ligurian restaurants.

Very friendly personnel. Location great. Views from some of the apartments as in a post card: a pleasure and very spectacular via. You may go back to those nice italian films with Vespas and people enjoying walking thru "il lungo mare". Nice to visit the Ligurian coast again!

Spacious two bedroom apartment in a convenient location for station and town centre. Easy to travel around Ligurian coast by train (and cheaply) and some good restaurants nearby. Hosts very organized and keen to ensure everything goes well. Fully recommended.

Everything about this hotel is 5 star. This includes the prices in the bar and the restaurant, which are steep. Rapallo is a beautiful, bustling little city and the Ligurian coast is as good as any - truly stupendous.

A very nice apartment well equipped and the car parking is safe and is automatic ie the car is stored away by robot. A great central location ideal for visiting Liguria and not far from Nice/Monaco.

The apartment is adorable and exceptionally well kept. The hosts were wonderful and the location was perfect; very convenient for exploring up and down this part of the Ligurian cost.

Large, clean and well-groomed territory. Rooms are not so big, but enough for 3-4 persons. There are 2 rooms (I would say 1.5 rooms): 1 bed room and another living room with a small kitchen. There is a sliding door between bedroom and living room. We stayed at ground floor and we had a really large terrace. There are some restaurants, but we didn’t use them and can’t say anything. There are several outside pools and one indoor one. There are many activities. Animation group is great. For children there is a kids club. The sea is located 1.6km from the hotel, but there is a shuttle that goes between the hotel and the sea pretty often.
