United KingdomWe liked the fact that the hotel was newly refurbished, everywhere clean and peaceful. Lovely room with balcony and sea view, lovely bathroom too. Slept well as the bed was very comfortable and soundproofing good. Good variety of things for breakfast (eggs perfectly poached!) and appreciated the waitress service. All the staff at the hotel very helpful and friendly.

A Spectacular Sea of Colour
Although one of Italy’s smallest regions, Liguria punches well above its weight for incredible scenery. Its coastline stretching from the French border to the port of La Spezia is lined with brightly coloured houses, including those spectacularly hugging cliffs in the Cinque Terre villages.
Equally impressive is Portofino harbour, one of the most beautiful in Italy. In a country that counts Venice, Sorrento and Capri amongst its harbour towns, that’s quite some accolade. Next door Rapallo has a long promenade watched over by a castle.
Levanto’s promenade is supported by pillars on the beach below and overlooks mountains descending into the Mediterranean Sea. Portovenere at the tip of a peninsula has a Gothic church on a rocky outcrop.
The Liguria capital is Genoa, Italy’s busiest port and home to one of Europe’s largest Old Towns. Varazze to the west has a sweeping beach, as does Alassio – 2 resorts with lots of Liguria hotels on the beach on Booking.com. A fortress guards the entrance to Savona harbour, while Albenga has medieval spires and cobbled streets.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay in the villa della pergola. We had the good fortune to be upgraded to a spacious room with a French window in the villino. The welcome was fantastic and all the staff went above and beyond to look after us beautifully. The breakfast sitting outside with a view over the sea was exceptional, and dinner was amazing. We were able to sign up for a tour of the garden which was well worth doing. There are lots of benches and bowers where one can sit. The infinity pool and adjacent bar are a treat.

The house is very nice for a family, comfortable and fresh. Outdoor furniture is great to dine out and to enjoy the sun in our "personal" terrace.
Pools are great with plenty sunbeds to enjoy the Villa.
Available and guarded parking is great option.
The Resort is in a very quiet and really calm surrounding.
The beaches in Imperia are WONDERFUL.

Genova is a RARE JAM.
Genova is a RARE JAM. Culture, history, marine biology, beautiful beaches and unbeatable quisine ALL IN ONE PLACE. What more could one wish for! We keep coming back again and again and again...We went on I Rolli walking tour, visited naval museum, huge aquarium, went dolphine watching in the Mediterranian sea, enjoyed beaches in the suburbs of Pegli, Nervi, Bocadassa. The food was great everywhere from a street kiosk to a high-end restaurant. Ligurian food is simply the best! Transportation is very well organized: besides taxi from and to the airport we used buses, trains and boats. Just be prepared for a lot of walking in the city historic center with its narrow streets. We even went to a couple football games at the local stadium. Overall unforgettable experience!

A lively and welcoming city, perfect for exploring the Italian Riviera and enjoying excellent local cuisine.
I would recommend to avoid the heat of July and August.

Loved Monterosso.
Loved Monterosso. Visited a few of the Island towns in Cinque Terre. This was all of our favorite.
Always a beautiful view no matter where you walked. Shopping was great. Everything made in Italy! Found nothing made in China. Restaurants did not disappoint. Overall, we were all very happy!

Lovely old style Italian town.
Lovely old style Italian town. Ideal base for trips to Cinque Terre by train or ferry. Great choice of restaurants. Wonderful beach and walks. Not anything like as packed as the villages in Cinque Terre and much more to see and places to stay. Walkable to Bonasola (45 mins) which is a gorgeous small town with a lovely beach. As it isn't one of the famous Cinque Terre villages it is far quieter.

It is nice place to stay while visiting Portofino and...
It is nice place to stay while visiting Portofino and Rapallo. Plenty to do and see and close enough to walk to everything if you are at least a bit fit and ready for a hike. We walked around 19km around town and out to Rapallo and back one day and around 18km to Portofino and back another day. Taking the trail through the hills and woods from Santa Margherita Ligure to Paraggi and then to Portofino was a lot of fun.

Very good for short stay or beach holiday. Too many motorcycles with undue care for themselves and pedestrians; we had to be super aware but got use to it. Lots of different restaurants to suit all needs. Great cycle paths with superb views.

The best village in the Cinqueterre to stay in. It is central, quite in5he morning and evening, has excellent food and hiking. If you enjoy being with locals in less hectic environment, Riomaggorie is the place. The train makes it easy to anywhere instantly.

Vernazza feels like a postcard that came to life. There are lots of stairs, but they are absolutely worth it. Take your time going up and down, because the views are breathtaking, and the little winding paths are full of hidden treasures waiting to be discovered. You are going to be tired, I know I was, but happy. You will have a whole lot of magical little places in your head to remember.

There is not a lot to do/see in Rapallo itself, but is is Nice and relax to hang/walk around and visit places from there (ranking from a day Pisa, Genua, Firenze, La Spezia, Portofino etc….
The amount of foreign tourist is not a lot (which can be nice). Spring is an awesome time of the year to go. Autumn you are depending on the wheater…. It can be quite bad due to it’s location.

Great place, definitely worth to stop by! Beautiful beaches with good waves (at least when we were there), old town and the castles are nice to visit, very friendly people and coincidentally there was a cool climbing festival in the town while we were there!
