Unfortunately I was only spending one night and a morning there but from what I experienced it was a vibrant and busy town with a great atmosphere. The staff in the Ristorante Nettuno Lungamore had excellent food and extremely friendly staff who were very attentive to my dog 🐕 😀

Some real Italian wibe, noisy scooters and busy streets. Not too big, easy to walk around. Unfortunately it was not easy to find a good place to eat at the beginning of the week - mainly some hotels and bars.

The city center is nice, there are good restaurants but...

The city center is nice, there are good restaurants but every of them takes fee for sitting at the table - from 2 to 4 euros even to drink one cocktail. Beaches are not very good in Rapallo, you need to go somewhere further for good sea. We went on the beaches after San-Margarita, it is better drive there or go by bus.

A nice size town.

A nice size town. Easy access from the train station into town. Excellent coastal walk around to Portifino. Best place to swim Santa Margherita Ligure. A short walk from Rapallo. Lots of bars and restaurants to choose from.

Rapallo was fine but just to say a few more words about the hotel: the staff was very gracious, they even let us use some plates one day to have a lovely picnic outside and hooked us up with ice and glasses and things to enjoy our summer feast outdoors. They were so wonderful! They have created so much beauty on their property for guests to enjoy! It was truly lovely. I felt like I was in paradise! Rapallo was just OK for me. It seemed touristy and the food in town was my least favorite of my trip. Like they didn't care much about the quality of food they are serving the tourists. I get it, but it was just not very thrilling. But that's the effects of tourism. I was also surprised to learn that the beaches cant be accessed by everyone, as in the US. However, it is a beautiful town, the shops, bakeries, culinary stores are nice and I enjoyed them.

Rapallo is a beautiful town.

Rapallo is a beautiful town. Plenty of good restaurants, bars and shops. We travelled by train down to the Cinque Terre and all journeys were easy to navigate. The boat trip from Rapallo to Portofino was a lovey way to spend a few hours.

This is a superb hotel, from the welcome and free room upgrade to checkout it was a pleasure to stay All the staff where so incredibly helpful and friendly. The hotel facilities where excellent especially the outside area with its exceptional pool which is really big. We had booked a garden view room and requested a upgrade just before we arrived and that's exactly what we got, a sea view room with a view to die for... it made our stay even more special... The hotel is in a great position for visiting Rapallo and getting the boat along the coast to eg Portofino. We knew what we were getting when we booked and the hotel fitted its description and photos, with its old-fashioned non-luxury feel. The air conditioning worked well and the double-glazed windows kept the noise out, so we slept well. The paid parking was useful, and the staff were helpful.

I liked the staff . Very friendly and welcoming. The location. Perfect. Best hotel location in Rapallo I liked the half board service … sitting on the table enjoying the evening meal in full absolute leisure. Me pressure by staff that they need the table. For me that was the best part of my stay and an luxury that wants me come back and enjoy the dinner again at this beautiful location

Central location. Close to the Rapallo train station and touristic ferry terminal to Portofino ect. Everything was refurbished and cozy, making the place feeling more like a home rather than just a hotel replacement for a better price. The owner was also really nice.
