I very much liked that due to low season we were offered a free upgrade and got a spacious room with a balcony. I also liked the historical furniture and decorations. They are old and sometimes imperfect but still create an ambience. The breakfast area overlooks the small bay of Rapallo and is very beautiful. The selection of breakfast foods was good, even though somewhat smaller than in other five-stars. Perhaps due to the low season (but the price was also lower than in other five-stars). Salmon, melon were present as well as custom-made omelette (but you need to ask the waiter for it, otherwise you will not know that such possibility exists). There is an outdoor swimming pool overlooking the Mediterranean sea which is open during the day and seems to be free of charge for all hotel guests.

Unfortunately I was only spending one night and a morning there but from what I experienced it was a vibrant and busy town with a great atmosphere. The staff in the Ristorante Nettuno Lungamore had excellent food and extremely friendly staff who were very attentive to my dog 🐕 😀

Some real Italian wibe, noisy scooters and busy streets. Not too big, easy to walk around. Unfortunately it was not easy to find a good place to eat at the beginning of the week - mainly some hotels and bars.

The city center is nice, there are good restaurants but...

The city center is nice, there are good restaurants but every of them takes fee for sitting at the table - from 2 to 4 euros even to drink one cocktail. Beaches are not very good in Rapallo, you need to go somewhere further for good sea. We went on the beaches after San-Margarita, it is better drive there or go by bus.

A nice size town.

A nice size town. Easy access from the train station into town. Excellent coastal walk around to Portifino. Best place to swim Santa Margherita Ligure. A short walk from Rapallo. Lots of bars and restaurants to choose from.

Rapallo was fine but just to say a few more words about the...

Rapallo was fine but just to say a few more words about the hotel: the staff was very gracious, they even let us use some plates one day to have a lovely picnic outside and hooked us up with ice and glasses and things to enjoy our summer feast outdoors. They were so wonderful! They have created so much beauty on their property for guests to enjoy! It was truly lovely. I felt like I was in paradise! Rapallo was just OK for me. It seemed touristy and the food in town was my least favorite of my trip. Like they didn't care much about the quality of food they are serving the tourists. I get it, but it was just not very thrilling. But that's the effects of tourism. I was also surprised to learn that the beaches cant be accessed by everyone, as in the US. However, it is a beautiful town, the shops, bakeries, culinary stores are nice and I enjoyed them.

Rapallo is a beautiful town.

Rapallo is a beautiful town. Plenty of good restaurants, bars and shops. We travelled by train down to the Cinque Terre and all journeys were easy to navigate. The boat trip from Rapallo to Portofino was a lovey way to spend a few hours.

A good hotel as a base to see Cinque Terre & Portofino . Room was good with a good view of the Rapallo bay. Excellent breakfast especially when able to eat on the terrace . Melany particularly helpful on reception along with the other welcoming staff. Parking useful albeit slightly pricey when were were there for 6 days. Short walk to the centre only if you go through the park (but this closes at 8PM) but easy to get taxis (12 euros) Snack menu was good to have on terrace

The location of the hotel was excellent. It was situated on one of the scenic streets of Rapallo, very close to the train station, to all the restaurants, and to the sea. Amazing. The hotel had air conditioning, which helped us a lot when it was very hot. There was also a kitchen — all the necessary amenities were provided. We even used the washing machine. There were no issues at all. I highly recommend it to everyone.

The location, the location, the location. Excellent, right by the sea. Rapallo is a very nice city, downtown walking district small and functional, and the beach boulevard beautiful. Railway station 500 meters from the property, pier for boats to Portofino etc right below the terrace. Clean apartment, good communication with personnel at site.
