Chalet Saint-Barthélemy Hotel really exceeded our expectations. It is a small family-run hotel in a tiny village where you have to get by driving a long and twisty mountainous road. The views on the mountains around are amazing, and it is very quiet, peaceful and relaxing. We stayed in a very nice room -- big windows, comfortable bed (I asked for extra pillows and these were provided instantly!), the bathroom is large and comfortable. Enough space to store luggage, clothes, equipment etc. Nice touches in the room, some handmade furniture items (like bedside table made of wood slabs), overall simple but cosy interiors where you can truly feel very relaxed. Outside the building there is a terrace with tables/chairs/deck chars where you can enjoy the sun and relax with a coffee / cold beer / aperitivo. The long drive to the village is totally worth it. Its super quiet in the evenings, you can walk around the village, there is observatory, and you can also be rewarded with amazing views of the stars in the night sky. Separately I would like to mention that you can book dinner in the hotel's resturaunt, and its really really good. We had tasting menu with a lot of local traditional dishes. The restaraunt uses only local produce from local farmers/producers, which is always great to see. The wine selections is also good. The hosts are lovely people, very friendly, happy to help and explain everything. Thank you for making our stay perfect, we will definitely come back.

This is a superb place in Valle d"Aosta. The house has a personal touch in many details. It's spotlessly clean, run by very courteous hosts. The apartment is fitted with everything including a capsule coffee machine, chilled water in the fridge, a box with variety of tea bags, sparking water maker with brand syrups, premium snacks and so on. In short words, the hospitality is simply remarkable.

Deciding to spend the weekend in Nus was very random, we...

Deciding to spend the weekend in Nus was very random, we knew we wanted to go somewhere near Fénis, and Nus seemed small and beautiful, so we booked there! Weherever you go you are surrounded by nature, and it is the perfect town to have a romantic weekend with your partner, and why not bring along the dog as well!

The host was very friendly when we arrived and very accommodating and helpful with all our questions. The apartment was very clean and the kitchen had everything we required for cooking. Nus is a good location for exploring the different places in Val D'Aosta and we used it as base to visit the different ski areas. There is a parking spot available by the door which is a little tight but works. The host came past on the last day to check if everything was ok and to say goodbye which was a nice touch.

La Terrasse de Dyno is a great option for exploring the snow resorts Aosta valley - approx 40-50 mins from Cervino, La Thuile and Courmayeur and a little more than that (50-60) to Monterosa. The town of Nus is peaceful with a handful of restaurants and a Carrefour for groceries. There's enough dishes/appliances to cook basic meals. Great view of the mountains from the bedroom in the morning :) Parking right outside the door was usually available, or there's a free car park only a few steps away.
