FranceWe went to Perinaldo to do some hiking in the area. Perinaldo is a beautiful old village, a bus ride up from Ventimiglia with plenty of walking trails nearby.
The flat itself was extremely well prepared for our stay - comfortable, quiet and very clean. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking. The views of the village and down to the sea are lovely. We really felt at home during our stay. One thing to note - access could be tricky for some guests - steep steps throughout the village as well as steep steps to access the flat.
Communication with Gabriele was excellent - always quick to answer and very friendly.
We highly recommend!

Unfortunately, it rained the day we had planned to explore...
Unfortunately, it rained the day we had planned to explore Perinaldo so we didn't see much of it ... but, we explored other villages in the area ... Dolceacqua, Rochetta Nervina, Apricale, Pigna ... and the utterly amazing little Castel Vittorio where we had lunch at Osteria del Portico, surrounded by locals ... no other "tourists" ... and were treated to a meal that was typical homecooking from the Liguria region. Delicious and immensely special.

This is a cute hilltop town in western Liguria.
This is a cute hilltop town in western Liguria. It's a bit remote, so if you visit in the off season, you might not find restaurants open, but it's exceptionally peaceful and beautiful, with 360 degree views of the coast and other hill towns. You will absolutely need a car here, but you might be able to start a hike from your doorstep.
