Pigna is a lovely medieval town and Casa Rosa is a wonderful place to stay, having been lovingly restored to create this wonderful hotel which is central and with amazing views of the whole town. The church (of San Michele Arcangelo) built in the XIII century is also amazing and should not be missed. The town is a maze of cobbles, alleyways and arches, and makes you wonder at how it was ever built, truly remarkable. Marisa, the hostess, is fabulous, her English is good so I was able to talk with her easily and she was very kind and helpful in all matters. As other reviews have mentioned, her breakfasts are delicious and should not be missed. I can highly recommend Casa Rosa - a wonderful place to stay and well deserving of a 5* review :)

The hosts were both lovely people, very welcoming and great communication throughout our stay. They organised an early check in for us and even helped us carry our luggage. They had also put the heating on for us in advance. The apartment is beautiful, immaculately clean and fully equipped. We were given kiwis from their garden as well as homemade jam and water from a local source.

I've passed quit a lot of nights in Italy so far, this was definitely one of the best hotels when it comes to price-performance ratio. Lovely, newly refurbished room with balcony, air-conditioned, equipped with everything one might need. Delicious Pizza served at the restaurant. The best about the stay, however, was the staff. Very cordially, welcoming and making sure I could discover the breathtaking surroundings. Warmly recommended and in case I'll be back, I know where to stay at Pigna

"I had an amazing experience at this hotel. We were upgraded to a better room, which was incredible. The staff were exceptional—always friendly and helpful. The Talking Stones building has been delightfully renovated to feature the original stones of the old village house. The rooms are a little quirky (in a good way) due to the old building and was nicely furnished and comfortable. We were on the second floor and the stairs are quite steep. Our breakfast was served by Stefano and it was plentiful with yoghurt, fruit, eggs, bread, croissant and cake. We recommend you also eat at the restaurant around the corner called CASAeBOTTEGA.

Pigna is very quiet (at least on an Easter weekend), there's...

Pigna is very quiet (at least on an Easter weekend), there's nothing to do apart from walk around the town and the valley and eat dinner at one of the excellent restaurants (careful, everything's closed on Monday and Tuesday night except the very good pizzeria). But if you're looking for peace and quiet and beauty and friendly locals, Pigna has everything you're looking for. We would go back in a heartbeat.

Pigna has a well-maintained historical center representative...

Pigna has a well-maintained historical center representative of mountain towns in Liguria. The one bar in the center is a gathering place for the community. At the edge of the old center on the main road lies cluster of restaurants, a pharmacy, a bank and other stores.

Beautiful apartment with patio and splendid mountain views. Clean, quiet, two bathrooms; one is next to the bedroom. Pigna is lovely village and we visited all villages in area by bus. The host Alessandro (on phone) was always available to help us and help resolve minor problems. The local manager, Laura, was charming, and collected us by car from another village when there was a one afternoon transport strike, as fortunately she was passing through. Local pasticceria near bus stop ideal for breakfast with the local villagers.

This house is unique! And we found all we needed in the house. Comfortable beds, a lovely kitchen, and the terasse with views of the mountains. We did some great hiking and had a swim in one of the natural pools. The bar at the piazza by the church is were the locals meet for an aperitivo around 7pm. We went there every day. We highly recommend this house!!! And Pigna. And we will be back, for sure!
