I arrived puffy from eating pizza for a week and left with reduced inflammation and a peaceful mind. The sulphuric baths were deeply healing and soothing. The location is from a dream. The staff were incredibly warm and accommodating. The breakfast offering was beyond my imagination! 24hrs here left us feeling renewed, at peace and feeling inspired. I will come back here many more times in my life.

The room was large, even by European standards. We had room to move and not bump into walls and furniture. There is a restaurant next door that has a truly traditional Italian dinner which was delicious and fascinating to see and eat. The hosts are incredibly kind and accommodating. We do not speak Italian but we did not feel remotely misunderstood or unable to communicate; they were charming and very friendly. The breakfast was amazing. I wish that we had been able to try the omelette that was offered but we filled up on the pastry, fruit, salami, cheese, and yogurt so were too stuffed for more. And as a person with food allergies I loved being able to eat all that was offered. A truly exceptional stay and would choose again in a heartbeat.

Breakfast was great, and the front desk person, Gabriel, was such a pleasure to speak to! He was incredible friendly, personable, and willing to answer any questions and offer any tidbits and facts. (Fun fact, he loves cats!!) Gabriel also explained how to use the bidet, and also literally pin-dropped on Google Maps on my phone places to visit and go to! I also got to try wild boar pasta (Pappardelle al Ragù di Cinghiale) at his recommendation, and it was delicious. He gave us a brief rundown of the town's history (Etruscan Tombs, Tufo stone building, etc) and attended to our every need. Although we only exchanged greetings with the owner, Luciano, he was super friendly and kind, and we could see him walking to and from the restaurant (short 5 minute walk outside) and you could clearly see he takes pride in this wonderful sanctuary. Sovana is indeed a hidden gem, and the town's size is tiny, but that is what makes it so magical - It's an escape from the daily hustle and bustle of city life. Our room was a good size as well as nice and quiet. The resort also has it's own gated private parking lot for parking, which made our lives so much easier as we were struggling to figure out how the paid parking worked (Paid parking lot was adjacent)

Staff were wonderful! Marco and his front desk and housekeeping staff were the best. Valentino and Antonio in restaurant I can't say enough good about food and service. Ladies in the spa were superb! Hotel was clean, comfortable with everything my wife and I wanted and yes great value and great location. I would recommend and return without hesitation. Most of all I want to mention how responsive and helpful Marco and Valentino were helping me when I drove my car into a ditch by the terme cascade. Far exceeded my expectations getting me out at minimal cost, time or car damage!
