CanadaThe hotel was perfect for us. The room we stayed in had 2 separate rooms...one for my wife and one for our son. Lots of room and always very well kept. The gym was a bonus, breakfast was good and had a good selection and there was an abundance of parking spots at the hotel (never had to worry about not having a spot to park in when I returned late). Will definitely return to BV the next time we visit.

LatviaThe breakfast area itself is quite small, but if you're not traveling in a large group, it's very suitable for a small breakfast with a couple of sandwiches. Breakfast, as is the Italian way, is full of cakes and buns to nibble on with a cappuccino or a tiny ristretto from the coffee bar, but there was also fresh fruit, orange juice, mineral water, milk, serials, a cheese and meat platter and even a hard-boiled egg. The selection was not huge, but it was enough to avoid having to eat the same thing every day. The hotel is an 18-minute walk from the train station, close to many dining options and nearby shopping, and 24 minutes' on foot to the University of Calabria.

Breakfast was great with a wide ranging choice of sweet and savoury. They are dog friendly. Christmas decorations were a joy to behold.

It’s close to Castiglione Costenino Station and there are plenty of shops nearby.
Our hosts were lovely too. We were unexpectedly delayed by an hour with check out due to an issue with our rental car and they were very understanding. They were lovely, lovely people.

MaltaCosenza/Rende is a complex place (I have been staying in and around the city for many years) and Grecale is beautifully situated high above, near the university, about 6km from the Cosenza Nord-Rende motorway junction. The views are wonderful. The lodging is extraordinary : extremely modern, super clean, and with excitingly different lighting , a beautiful bathroom, and ample, safe parking. Very friendly and charming owner who had to struggle with my basic Italian for us to understand e o! Good tea and coffee facilities are part of the startlingly unusual room furnishings. My room had a fireplace, but it was 32°C so I didn't try it out!

Rende, which is really a part of the long thin city of...
Rende, which is really a part of the long thin city of Cosenza, is not a pretty place. Cosenza, as I have said many times before, suffers from large amounts of rubbish strewn everywhere, from paper, bottles and cans, to broken baby carriages, old bicycles, broken glass and split-open rubbish sacks containing.....(I'll leave it to your imagination!). The best thing to do, and my tactics always, is to find a nice hotel or lodging and then stay in it till it's time to leave tomorrow after breakfast.

Rende, and Cosenza in general, is not a tourist magnet.
Rende, and Cosenza in general, is not a tourist magnet. It has recently become cleaner (there was a LOT of room for this!), but it is definitely not a place to visit for pleasure. I stay there regularly on my way to and from my home in Malta.

We really enjoy staying in the area around rende in October,...
We really enjoy staying in the area around rende in October, was also quite hot during the day. We stayed near the university but visited Rende old town in the evening, it was very special and magical, with all the valley below it and the lights, the old buildings. We really appreciated the type of historical houses with the special rendering made with mortar and little grey stones. We also visited Marano Marchesato, was a pleasant afternoon walk. We had dinner in a pizzeria and restaurant in Rende, everything was so pleasant and good. The area is lovely with all the valleys and hills and the air smells so fresh and pure, places are quite clean and tidy.

There is no need to come to Cosenza or Rende, really.
There is no need to come to Cosenza or Rende, really. It's a convenient staging post between Salerno and Reggio di Calabria (I stay regularly when on the way home to Malta by car from Northern Europe).

Nothing to dislike here. Stayed one night on our way back from Sicily. Great breakfast and very clean, quiet and comfortable rooms. Good selection of eateries nearby and secure parking. Staff friendly and efficient.

The location was really convenient for what we wanted. And easy to find.

The rooms were a good size with a comfy bed.

Since there were 4 of us. The suite was more than spacious and had plenty of room for us. The parking was safe and in front of the hotel. And the staff was lovely.
