We booked a standard room, which was just the right size for two people, with a spacious closet and a large, comfortable shower room. The buffet-style breakfast offered a wide variety of both sweet and savory options, including homemade egg dishes and local specialties like ’nduja, which made us feel connected to the local culture. Although the property is within walking distance of the town center, access by car was also easy. Staying here for several days during the summer high season would surely be wonderful, but it was also an excellent choice for a one-night winter stay while exploring the town.

The sea view from the balcony was beautiful. The breakfast was lovely and staff friendly and helpful. The room was great and full of everything you would need. A free bottle of wine on arrival was a lovely touch!

Il Borghetto Creative is simply amazing! It far surpassed my expectation, the photos don't do the beauty of this hotel justice. The boutique hotel is a family run business and you feel that in the best way possible. The customer service, attention to detail and delicious food make you feel so at home that we did not want to leave. They also have one of the nicest pools I've seen. We loved that it was quiet and secluded. However, I would recommend renting a car for your stay if you wish to visit the beach town for dinners in the evening, as it would be a far walk.

The hosts were so welcoming and every request was given with the warmest of smiles. Even with the language barrier they made absolutely sure we were looked after like family The rooms were spacious and impeccably clean. Even though we’re were a very short walk with the coffee machine in our room we were able to sit and have a coffee and look at the beautiful sea views in the morning before our adventures.

January is a quiet time of the year to visit. It makes driving around and parking much easier, although there are not many restaurants open at this time of the year. The marina and port is lovely to walk around and then to sit and have a drink. There is a walk-way along the front of the restaurants down by the sea. It was lovely walking along and watching the waves roll in. There was one restaurant open, it looked very nice, but we did not want to eat lunch time. You can walk up the steep steps, that take you to the top of the main square. You need to be fit and mobile to tackle them. We sat and had drinks and cakes, as there were a few places open. The streets are cobbled, so good footwear is essential. There are several look outs from the top. One spot overlooks the beach and the Sanctuary of Santa Maria dell 'Isola (which was closed), but well worth the look if you go when it is open. There is a small market on a Saturday morning, which was up by the Cemetery.

For a winter stop over that’s restful and self sufficient a good location. Town delightful with good free musical events for Christmas Weather was perfect though turning cold at night It WAS December ! Warning about steps to access the location. Difficult with luggage. Might want to try the much longer road route if mobility is an issue.

It is a very picturesque town, and it is easy to visit the top spots. Take a slow walk down the cliff from the town to the beach. The sand is fine and the water is a clear blue. Go up to the monastery and take photos of the coast. Just spend some time walking down the narrow streets and alleyways. We went in the offseason and didn't get a chance to visit Stromboli, the volcanic island. That should be a highlight and something we will do next time.

We loved the choice of beaches and the crystal clear sea, we could see fish swimming within touching distance of us. When its really hot, there is plenty of shady beach areas if wanted. The old town was amazing to see from the beach underneath, the way its been built on the cliff. Good choice of restaurants and bars.

I loved the views and the variety of spots to relax from high up in town to down close to the sea. The wind and cooler temperatures stopped us from entering the water however, as the sea temperature is still quite temperate there were many swimmers early October.

The beaches were amazing.

The beaches were amazing. Places we ate that I recommend, That's Amore, great food and lots of ambiance, Diamante Rosso, Pinturicchio has great fish dishes and the best gelato was at Gelati Tonino.

INCREDIBLE! On our way to Tropea we had a big airport delay and we missed our train. The accomodation went out of their way to arrange a driver for us at 1am in the morning! They also stayed away and kept messaging us on WhatsApp to make sure we arrived safely — they were up messaging us until 3am! We could not believe how amazing this place was. They were so supportive and helpful. The breakfast is the best we had in Italy and the location of the property is the BEST. You must book here if you come to Tropea!!

Little boutique hotel in the centre of Tropea. We immediately felt comfortable upon arrival meeting Rosella at reception, what a beautiful person with such good energy! 10/10 for staff! We also met Paolo who is part of the family who own Tropea town house and again, beautiful hospitality! The room was modern, clean and fresh! The balcony upstairs was so perfect - and love the tanning beds too!

Very clean Room, enough Space for us (Family with 2 Kids) private parking at the hotel Owner (Claudio?) was very friendly and made it possible that we could stay in the Room until late afternoon so that our kids could have their afternoon nap in the room before our flight back Beach and Tropea within 5 minutes by car! (With young children to far to walk)

It was a really nice hotel with great people working there, especially the family owning the whole place. The atmosphere was very familiar as well. The venue is more or less right on top of one of the most beautiful beaches in this aria and withing 5 minutes you arrive at Tropea. Will be a repeater!

The property is fantastic and has everything you will need. Antonio is a pleasure to deal with and is probably the best host we have ever come across in our travels. You will not regret using this suite. it is probably the best one we have ever stayed in, in Italy.
