We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bonsai. Bonsai is situated within easy walking distance to the town and main beach in Tropea. There is even a private walkway to a beach from the property. It is quiet, clean and comfortable. The room we stayed in had a huge balcony with great views. We enjoyed our breakfasts on the huge terrace. The hosts were very accommodating as we were able to drop our luggage off before check in which was so very helpful. Additionally, they went beyond and above when they drove us to the train station (in the rain)as there were no taxis available at the time. Thank you Amare!!

Lovely place with beautiful garden with colourful flowers. The resort is situated outside the old city center of Tropea in a quiet neighbourhood. We loved the quietness. Very friendly staff. You can feel that the resort is family-run. There is no restaurant in the resort, but they have an exquisit restaurant in the old city center of Tropea. The breakfast was very authentic and friendly served in an outside patio. Very romantic. We recommend Il Borghetto strongly if you want a romantic holiday for two.

We loved Tropea , the beach was amazing walking distance from the apartment, just wear comfortable shoes lots of steps to go down and up from the beach. The location was amazing we walked to town center . We went during high season in August so it was very crowded , city is kept clean and everyone is very welcoming to the tourists. The shops are very nice too. The only thing we were a little dissapointed about was we wish there were more authentic small restaurants serving more high quality traditional food. We were born in Italy and are in the restaurant business in the US so I know our standards are high but I wish we had come across more higher quality restaurant choices not so many tourist traps. The beach chair and umbrella rental prices I also felt were expensive for a family staying over a week, $50 euro for two chairs and umbrella daily. We needed two sets per day for 9 days, it was excessive in my opinion . They should offer discounts for families and for longer stays. Everything else was top notch! Definitely bring comfortable shoes streets are uneven cobblestone and there's lots of walking to do, especially dragging your luggage to your hotel thru the town because cars are not allowed into the main town area. Everything else was top notch our apartment was just amazing and perfect, and Tropea will always hold a special place in our heart!

One of the most stunning holiday spots in the whole of Italy...

One of the most stunning holiday spots in the whole of Italy with its beautiful old town, many restaurants and bars. The white sand beaches are on par with the Caribbean with its warm crystal clear waters due to the many natural bays. There are plenty of boat excursions for fun days out and the opportunity to visit the Aeolian volcanic islands north of Sicily, and coastal trips from Tropea to Capo Vaticano. Tropea is a favourite of ours since it is not yet overridden with tourists as it is predominantly a local holiday spot.

I had a wonderful stay!

I had a wonderful stay! The room was brand new, spotlessly clean, and tastefully decorated. The location couldn't have been better—right in the city center, with everything within walking distance. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and both the air conditioning and Wi-Fi worked perfectly. After a long day of exploring, it was so nice to come back to such a cozy and relaxing room. Everything was exactly as described, and I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

Tropea is still one of the most beautiful towns in southern...

Tropea is still one of the most beautiful towns in southern Italy. The historic center is charming, full of narrow streets, lovely restaurants, and breathtaking views of the sea. However, it's clear that the town is still recovering from the severe storms earlier this year. The damage is still visible on some beaches, not everything has reopened yet, and some areas are still being repaired. The staircase leading to the beach was unfortunately lined with litter that hadn't been cleaned up, which was disappointing in such a beautiful place. Despite this, we really enjoyed our stay and hope the remaining repairs and cleanup will be completed soon, because Tropea truly deserves to shine again

Tropea is fantastic.

Tropea is fantastic. This was our second trip to Tropea, this time combined with a 1 week stay in Capo Vaticano. Authentic italian atmoshere combined with a beautiful beach and unique sunsets. That's rare! Been there in October with 24 degrees and 24 degrees in the ocean. And this time in May/June - wheather and ocean was fantastic. Will come back again and next time rent a car for more flexibiliy.

This charming little town in southern Italy has some exceptionally beautiful beaches. The people are very hospitable, and there is a wide selection of small hotels and apartments. The restaurants and other services are excellent. June and September are perhaps the best times to visit.

We have travelled to over 20 cities in Italy and this was one of our favorite stops. It was our first time in Tropea and this apartment was located perfectly in town. Nicola and his wife were AMAZING hosts! Breakfast was incredible. Clear blue water beaches, 40 restaurants and day trips to Scilla and Pizzo by train were so much fun! We stayed 1 week and LOVED it! 3 Apartments newly renovated were GORGEOUS! 5 star large bathroom, balcony view over a piazza.

We had the most amazing stay, the rooms were spotless as were all the other facilities. The pool area is gorgeous and even better than the photos. All the staff were friendly and attentive, and the meal we had at the hotel restaurant was one of the best we had in Tropea. We booked last minute due to the hotel we initially booked being very poor on arrival, and it saved our holiday! Would highly recommend

A lovely B&B in a very convenient central position. This is owned and run by a lovely family. Rooms clean and with all we needed. Great bed. Best B&B food we've been offered in Italy. Generously offered to cook breakfast early for us and to drive us up to the station free of charge. We are very happy Australians who would love to return. A shame it's so bloody far to get here!
