We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bonsai. Bonsai is situated within easy walking distance to the town and main beach in Tropea. There is even a private walkway to a beach from the property. It is quiet, clean and comfortable. The room we stayed in had a huge balcony with great views. We enjoyed our breakfasts on the huge terrace. The hosts were very accommodating as we were able to drop our luggage off before check in which was so very helpful. Additionally, they went beyond and above when they drove us to the train station (in the rain)as there were no taxis available at the time. Thank you Amare!!

Lovely place with beautiful garden with colourful flowers. The resort is situated outside the old city center of Tropea in a quiet neighbourhood. We loved the quietness. Very friendly staff. You can feel that the resort is family-run. There is no restaurant in the resort, but they have an exquisit restaurant in the old city center of Tropea. The breakfast was very authentic and friendly served in an outside patio. Very romantic. We recommend Il Borghetto strongly if you want a romantic holiday for two.

I had a wonderful stay!

I had a wonderful stay! The room was brand new, spotlessly clean, and tastefully decorated. The location couldn't have been better—right in the city center, with everything within walking distance. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and both the air conditioning and Wi-Fi worked perfectly. After a long day of exploring, it was so nice to come back to such a cozy and relaxing room. Everything was exactly as described, and I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

Tropea is still one of the most beautiful towns in southern...

Tropea is still one of the most beautiful towns in southern Italy. The historic center is charming, full of narrow streets, lovely restaurants, and breathtaking views of the sea. However, it's clear that the town is still recovering from the severe storms earlier this year. The damage is still visible on some beaches, not everything has reopened yet, and some areas are still being repaired. The staircase leading to the beach was unfortunately lined with litter that hadn't been cleaned up, which was disappointing in such a beautiful place. Despite this, we really enjoyed our stay and hope the remaining repairs and cleanup will be completed soon, because Tropea truly deserves to shine again

Tropea is fantastic.

Tropea is fantastic. This was our second trip to Tropea, this time combined with a 1 week stay in Capo Vaticano. Authentic italian atmoshere combined with a beautiful beach and unique sunsets. That's rare! Been there in October with 24 degrees and 24 degrees in the ocean. And this time in May/June - wheather and ocean was fantastic. Will come back again and next time rent a car for more flexibiliy.

This charming little town in southern Italy has some exceptionally beautiful beaches. The people are very hospitable, and there is a wide selection of small hotels and apartments. The restaurants and other services are excellent. June and September are perhaps the best times to visit.

If anybody is thinking of visiting Tropea please get it booked as it’s one of the most outstanding places we’ve ever visited, the people are so friendly and helpful in every way, not only is Tropea absolutely breathtaking but the Food and wine is another level, one of our favourite places we’ve ever visited

Every beach in Tropea has cave systems where you can swim to. Gommone/RIB boat ride will be fun but you can swim with tropical fishes to get there. Since the water is salt water you can float easier than in the lakes. Make sure to bring goggles :) Absolutely beautiful water...almost as clear and emerald as lake superior but with easier beach access than lake superior...much warmer and this Mediterranean sea has fishes to swim with... Foods and drinks are great everywhere in Tropea. N'duja spread is versatile and yummy. N'duja in the jar makes great souvenir. Every thing is open until very late night some until 2am and very safe to walk around with the family at night.

We loved everything. The property is modern and very stylish. The property is central to all the restaurants and town centre. It is a 10 minute walk from the train station. We have been travelling in Italy for 4 weeks and this was the very best breakfast. Fresh fruit, scrambled or fried eggs and bacon, homemade cakes, yoghurt, cereal and more. All this was served on the roof terrace with sea views. Mariana is so very friendly and helpful.

The hotel was a welcomed oasis after a long drive. Beautifully designed with all of the modern conveniences. Our room was lovely with a huge shower, which is rare in Italy! Modern. Comfy beds with a pillow menu. Across the road from the marina that has a small supermarket, laundry, and a few bars. Easy walk to the swimming beach and to the town up the stairs. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Pool area is very lux!!

Room was amazing we drove down from naples and decided to do a pit stop in tropea with 2hours left of journey we managed to book a room. Description said it was a room with a jacuzzi, we assumed it was just a jacuzzi bath little did we know we had a whole spa in our room, with only a 10 min walk to the old town and a 15min walk to the church we had best of both worlds. Also has access to beach straight from hotel.

Concetta, the owner, gave us a warm welcome to our comfy well designed room with a coffee machine, frigo bar, hairdryer, safe, and stunning distant seaview. The location's perfect just 5 mins walk to Tropea's centre and parking was easy on site. A simple no frills breakfast was provided in the room and was enough. Nice stay, highly recommend for a stopover in Italy!
