We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bonsai. Bonsai is situated within easy walking distance to the town and main beach in Tropea. There is even a private walkway to a beach from the property. It is quiet, clean and comfortable. The room we stayed in had a huge balcony with great views. We enjoyed our breakfasts on the huge terrace. The hosts were very accommodating as we were able to drop our luggage off before check in which was so very helpful. Additionally, they went beyond and above when they drove us to the train station (in the rain)as there were no taxis available at the time. Thank you Amare!!

The hosts were so welcoming and every request was given with the warmest of smiles. Even with the language barrier they made absolutely sure we were looked after like family The rooms were spacious and impeccably clean. Even though we’re were a very short walk with the coffee machine in our room we were able to sit and have a coffee and look at the beautiful sea views in the morning before our adventures.

Tropea is a very beautiful old town, with a stunning historic center. Huge selection of restorants and small shops. Prices are affordable. In the aerea around Tropea, there are plenty of beautiful sandy beaches. Acces to them can be tricky during peak season, and finding parking is often the main issue. We were there at the end of May , and it was still quite manegeble. I recommend trips to Stromboli, Pizzo (Pedigrotta church), Le grotte di Zungri, Capo Vaticano, Scilla...

A great place to visit and relax by the sea. Prices in shops, bars and resturants were a lot less than some of Italy's more popular tourist spots. There is a good range of resturants. People are welcoming, and relaxed.

Tropea was wonderful.

Tropea was wonderful. The beach was amazing so many restaurants good shopping and boat trip was fabulous. Also the churches and the history added to the appeal of this gorgeous town.We left travelling by train and found this to be effortless👍🌞

Tropea was a wonderful place to visit, it had everything you could ask for, culture, food, beaches, friendly people. Overall perfect! There is so much to do and see all with-in walking distance, no car was required, everything was at your door step.

Tropea and its surroundings felt like something out of a fairytale — almost as if we were in a movie. We were lucky with beautiful weather and had the chance to explore the area, including Pisa, Santa Domenica, Tropea, and Capo Vaticano. The beauty of this region is truly incredible — stunning beaches, charming towns, and a relaxed atmosphere everywhere you go. It really feels like nature was especially generous here. The food deserves a special mention. I thought I had tasted spaghetti bolognese before, but what we had here was on a completely different level. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious, probably thanks to the quality of the ingredients. Overall, it couldn’t have been better.

A beautiful view, but not much to visit.

A beautiful view, but not much to visit. It's a great location for those who want to take a few days off and enjoy the sun and beach. Extra acticities are very over priced in my opinion. Cooking classes for 150 Euros per person, or a boat trip for 400 euros is too expensive in my opinion and prices are a lot higher than in other regions in Italy or in other countries such as Spain.

A lovely B&B in a very convenient central position. This is owned and run by a lovely family. Rooms clean and with all we needed. Great bed. Best B&B food we've been offered in Italy. Generously offered to cook breakfast early for us and to drive us up to the station free of charge. We are very happy Australians who would love to return. A shame it's so bloody far to get here!
