We visited in winter, the room was well heated, the owner of the place was charming and friendly, the price is very reasonable and the service is excellent. The location is also very convenient - minutes away from the center of Varallo but far enough from the center that there is plenty of parking.

A gorgeous hotel in an absolutely stunning location. Perched high ontop of a hill, the climb to the hotel is so worth it. The views are fabulous! Our host, Alessio was charming and extremely helpful, messaging us before arrival to ask if we needed help carrying our bags up to the hotel. He has a motorised luggage cart to help with the steep climb. We came prepared for the walk up to the hotel, so found it enjoyable, particularly because the paths and gardens are so beautifully kept. Our daily climb was part of the experience. Breakfast was served in Cafe Roma, which is situated in Varella, about a 10 minute leisurely stroll. Breakfast was delicious - wonderful coffee, fresh orange juice and amazing pastries. We loved taking breakfast with the locals. It was all part of the experience. The hotel accommodation was of a high standard and our room was lovely. We loved opening the patio doors each morning to soak up the views. Extremely comfortable bed and the shower was divine. We had a truly wonderful stay here. The peace and quiet was just perfect!

Arrived after 10 pm.

Arrived after 10 pm. The hotel was deserted and we used a code to enter. The hotel is located outside the city, in a short driving distance. We couldn’t find any place open at that time. Only on the next morning we realized that we should have driven a little further, behind the city wall, into the city. The bed could be improved

We were only there for 1 night. Very friendly host with great home made food. Location is on the outskirts of varallo but only 1/2 hour walk from the sacred mountain. Great for a relaxing stay.
